Join us as we go through the new muster safety briefing again, snag lunch at Guy's Pig & Anchor BBQ, wander around the outside decks, fail at livestreaming multiple times, then end the day with dinner in the main dining room and a lively Rock The Promenade party in the atrium!! :D

We're cruising aboard the first Carnival sailing out of Miami, Florida in 2021... the Carnival Horizon! We sailed from July 4-18, 2021 on back-to-back cruises with stops in Amber Cove, Half Moon Cay, Aruba, Curacao, and La Romana. This sailing was 95% vaccinated (see our separate protocols video for more information on that) with basically no mask requirements indoors our outdoors, no social distancing, and self-serve buffets. Let's do this thing!

Alright now! Day 1 of the Southern leg, this shall be fun to watch! That Tiramisu cake Dee had looks amazing! I did not know that the Horizon did not have the Red Frog Pub, wow! Our first sailing was six, and this second southern sailing was eight.
I saw you both on the first day of the 8 day cruise and thought we would run into you at some point, so that I could thank you for the recommendation for the excursion in Amber Cove. We never saw you again! We used Iguana Mama to go to the top of the mountain and go to the city and were very pleased with their tour. It was us and one other couple. Very personal tour. Thanks!

I don't comment often, but, I wanted to let you know that I really enjoy your videos and livestreams, you two are funny and always upbeat and that fun comes through on livestreams and videos. I cruise a lot and looking forward to three more this year - Alaska in August on the Celberty Millennium, Greece in September on the Celebrity Apex and then Oceania Riviera at Christmas and New Years in the Caribbean.

Anything from Carnival out of Miami would typically be out of Terminal D, same as the Horizon was, yep!! :D
Was on the Horizon second to last before covid shutdown. Fun ship is an understatement, this is a beautiful and fun ship. BTW the official name for the rocks is the Miami Jetty. Luv you guys as always, keep up the fun!
Some of the best Karaoke I've ever experienced has been on Carnival ships... there's rarely someone who can't sing well!

Question: Are quarters needed for the washer and dryers? Or can I use my Sign and Sail card? I noticed S&S card can be used for soap etc.
We haven’t really done much laundry on Carnival but we have on Princess. You normally use your ship card to purchase tokens that then go into the machines.

I don’t know the exact number, but Carnival was sailing at about 70% full at that point.

Going on Horizon 8/7 and watched all your videos from recent B2B plus some past ones. I love you guys and am waiting in anticipation for the rest of the videos on the 2nd part of the B2B on Horizon. Looking for some excursion ideas. Are all your beach visits paid excursions or are some free? It wasn't clear which were ship excursions but do plan on using same tour guide in Amber Cove.

Fun to see the back to back! Was the BBQ at your embarkation day lunch included or part of the specialty dining? I get confused when they offer both, like how do you know it's included (or not). Thanks!
The BBQ lunch is included. If you eat at the smokehouse for dinner it is ala carte pricing. But a different menu than lunch. It was so good and really reasonably priced. You will see it later on in the series.

Excursions can be booked either at the desk in the atrium, or from your mobile device using the HUB app. It's fairly straight-forward, but maybe we can snag some footage of it on our next cruise, hah...

We did one a while ago, but they have added a lot to it. Didn’t get enough footage of it on the Horizon, but we will try to grab maybe some screen recordings of it on the Mardi Gras. We did show a little bit of it in the first Horizon series, but basically just pointing the camera at the phone, ha ha.
