He has pressure due to the magnitude of the game, this game is on his shoulders of every players and coaches on that team.
Every time she speaks about purdy she says he might not play like rookie be we've seen him make some ridiculous plays she dosnt watch the niners cuz although he's not been perfect he's been very good but I've not seen a ridiculous pass I've seen couple bad plays sure but she makes out he's throwing it to other team with no niners around she's useless when she isn't talking about a team she must watch properly

Jalen Hurts doesn't know what pressure is. He's never shook or scared. All he does is show up and win.
1000% hurts. Was arguably the front runner for mvp until he got hurt, they are the number 1 seed at home and favored. Media spent the bill of the season saying Philly was unbeatable. Even with Purdy winning 8 straight games and doing what he is doing, he is still often reduced down to “well he’s a rookie” by the national media and most. Only pressure he has is wanting to perform for his team.

He has big pressure on him because he literally was called mr irrelvant and when you are playing on a team who almost got the super bowl last year and plus all the investment they made in lance to be there guy. So this may be purdy only change to prove he is the guy for this team especially with lance there. Hurts does not have to worry about that at all.
I think it's Hurts from this standpoint; Kelce was going to retire 2 years ago. The only reason he didn't was because he saw this type of season from Hurts, and thought he could win him another superbowl. If I'm Jalen, I would want more than anything to deliver for my teammates.

Purdy has said earlier in the season that he saw himself playing QB and starting this season…dude has a vision it’s not like these guys suggest “oh he didn’t ask to be put into this position” gtfoh. This young man is embracing it with grace, poise, confidence and more importantly trust and support from the organization top to bottom.
The Eagles have a good opportunity to get to the Superbowl title and win it. Something they talk about and want. But, they got to play like they played all season and just win. Good luck. 👍.
I think both have similar pressure but in different ways! On one hand Hurts is the starting franchise quarterback going against a last pick rookie QB. Purdy being a third string rookie QB in a championship game against another juggernaut, where the winner heads to the super bowl. To me they both have equal pressure it’s just up to each individual & team to respond. Should be a great game

Neither of them should have much pressure, other than the pressure that normally comes with this game.
Purdy is 3rd string qb and he's gotten the team to the conference championship. That's like a textbook case of playing with house money. If he loses, well, he's a rookie qb and wasn't supposed to be playing anyway.
As for Hurts, if he loses, it's just a growing pain because it's his first conference championship. Neither of these guys should be under any extra pressure.

You're right. Hurts came into the year with some sort of pressure because alot of ppl thought that outside of him at QB the Eagles were a good team that had a big question mark at QB. Purdy is the last pick in the draft so nobody expected anything from him. Both these guys I believe are playing with house money. Hurts has proven that he is the long term QB and Purdy is proving he should be the long term QB.
Na if a team was Taylor made for your skill set, are healthy and you’re an MVP candidate and all pro 1000% pressure is on that player it’s not even close.

The whole pressure point aimed at Purdy is ridiculous because he's been handling it since he took over from JimmyG in week 13. He won't even feel it this week against the Eagles. He was also put under tremendous pressure facing the Cowboys last Sunday, but he weathered that storm and prevailed, and that was a great warm-up and practice for him coming into this game.

Kurt Warner has a video out of the SF v Dallas game analyzing Purdy. Some concerning no throws and missed opportunities. Particularly in the red zone and on the mid level out routes he had issues identifying where to go with the ball. This is the reality of a rookie QB, he's not going to make throws he should and at this level it's going to cost SF. Might be his height or confidence in his arm, but either way giving away plays that are there makes a tough match up even tougher. Hopefully I'm wrong and he has a great game because I love the story from Mr I to Super Bowl starter.
you could also nitpick Kurt Warner's best games and I'm sure you would find some concerning no-throws and missed opportunities. That's the life of having to make a decision in a split second.

Purdy already won 2 playoffs games and is 2-0. Hurts played his first playoff game last year against Tampa Bay and lost, but won his first against the Giants so hes 1-1 and will be 1-2 Sunday evening. Go Niners!

Brock "isn’t supposed to be there” Jalen is. More pressure on Hurts legacy wise. However Brocks job security is in more jeopardy than Hurts is.
If Brock’s job security is in jeopardy and he’s going in the road in one of the toughest places to play to face a historical pass rush and #1 pass defense….he’s got way more pressure lol Hurts’ offense is too good for him to be too nervous
There is really no job security issue for Brock. The worst that can happen to Brock next season is becoming a 2nd string QB, which is a step up from this season. Given that it seems no 49ers QB can last the entire season, he will get his chance to start again regardless.
As for Hurts, on the other hand, anything short of a SB appearance will be considered as a failure. It would be pretty embarrassing if the MVP finalist lose to a 3rd string rookie QB in front of the hostile home crowd. The pressure is certainly on.
No pressure on Purdy. He’s a rookie who has already exceeded expectations. His play has allowed those expectations to inflate. The data suggest he has the mental capacity and intestinal fortitude to go out and play a game that he knows how to play. Game speed hasn’t caused him to implode, he just calmly lets it rip.
Purdy has an opportunity to do something no one else has ever done and he will never get the chance again
Hurts has the most pressure. The better question is, who will feel the pressure more, Jalen Hurts or Brock Purdy? Jalen Hurts seems to be a guy that is internally motivated, so I'm going to go with Brock Purdy.

Jalen is under way more pressure. Not even close. Like a year ago, Philly fans were ready to kick Jalen to the curb. NOW he is top rated QB this year, and Philly fans are unforgiving. The Niners weren't expected to get this far with a backup QB. The Eagles were all the talk this year. Purdy had no expectation this year. They just wanted to have a decent year with a backup QB.

Neither. Brock can earn a starting position. But he can also earn that in the off-season or during training camp. Hurts has been phenomenal

Purdy because it’s his job to lose, if he were to lose potentially they’ll start trey or jimmy if they keep him but if he wins it’ll be very difficult to change him out of that position. This is his chance to make or break his career and become a household name for years or go back to being a backup next year or the year after
both have more pressure for different reasons. the eagles have a window to win a ring and that window closes rapidly. but brock may be playing for his job. hurts is secured already. you could argue either way.

I think the pressure is on both but I think a little more on prudy because the niners have being knocking on the door the last couple of years and have fallen short to win it all. Plus the niners dc ryan is up for head coaching job and kyle s has pressure on him to finally exercise those demons of failing to get the job done. Like anyone else, Purdy has made mistakes. But it appears that he's learned very early in his career how to minimize them. For the most part, he knows when to check down, when to take the running lane if it's there and nothing's open, and when to just throw it away. He'll be just fine.

Hurts and company don’t want to lose a berth to the Super Bowl to a rookie QB at home with the number one seed. That would be a disaster.
Defense: as it goes for defense front I look at it 2 ways - rush defense and sacks/getting after QB. Getting after QB goes to Eagles without question. Not only do they have some of the top pass rushers in the league but they have so much depth there. Rush defense 49ers were 1st this year. Secondary, ain’t no question - Eagles have a better secondary . Eagles have 2 great corners, got our safety back, n rumored that Maddox may play will be great with having our slot corner back. The question becomes can 49ers have enough gas in the tank come late 3rd n 4th quarter to keep up with eagles d-line? Can eagles shut down run game?
Offense: run game for both teams is solid. I think like the eagles d-line we have depth with r RB’s n wit Hurts playing you can include him as a RB too. Receiving both teams got threats down field. Question becomes how much gas mccaffrey got - given how much depth eagles got at RB. How will 49ers receiving game fair against the Eagles secondary?

If Jalen plays the game of his career, I believe he should win MVP. To ball out against the best defense in football and take the Eagles to the Super Bowl should warrant that. Especially if Mahomes has an OK performance against the Bengals but I just feel it’s Mahomes’ award to lose at this point.
The pressure is on Brock. And if you’ve seen Brock play in the playoffs you can tell he’s aware the stakes are higher. He’s a bit more hesitant and far more cautious. If Brock loses this game you think he’s going to think about his draft position to comfort himself? No. He’s going to lament he wasn’t better in the moment. Here are the advantages for Eagles:
• Playing at home - 12th man in the stands
• Didn't have to travel
• If they can shut down Nick Bosa and run through SF's Defense then Eagles will control the clock and the game.
• Brock Purdy ain't seen nothing yet as he runs for his life. It's only a matter of time before the sacks start piling up
• SF has a great safety, but he can’t be everywhere. Ie Chasing Hurts around.
• Eagles will have trouble with 3 great receivers but if they pressure Purdy none of that matters.
• Expect another 3-pronged Eagle’s running attack right at the Defense to loosen them up!!

10 weeks ago nobody knew what a Brock Purdy was, so he is playing with lagniappe (house money), Jalen Hurts is playing with a team that the Eagles spent the entire offseason designing to maximize his abilities and it worked. But for Jalen Hurts he just finishing his 3rd season for the Eagles. They are going to decide if they want to break bread with him as their long time quarterback, that's what he's got at stake. If he leads them to the Superbowl the Eagles or somebody else will break him off. If he does not win this game (though he is playing against the 49ers defense) the media and fans will say he lost to a rookie quarterback, they will cast him aside and they will not pay him his bread.
Purdy can only go UP! He’s a 3rd string backup Rookie QB.
