- Day 2 of the epic lakes weekend. Starting in langdale by the dungeon ghyll pub we headed over rosset ghyll to sty head tarn then back over stake pass. some beautiful scenery, the riding was a graft.
I'd seldom have a use for this next word; Awesome. Surely the best route in the land.
there's better mate! this one was a graft tbf! thanks for the nice comment!
That descent was a monster it didn't look like it was going to end👍
Yeah there's some long descents up the lakes buddy. Hard graft though.
Great video mate
thanks buddy, it was a sick day
Great video fella! Miss living in lakes, I was at Rydal and went troutbeck school.
DT50 at 16 all over the fella 👍
Keep em coming
cheers mate! bet that was ace growing up in the lakes, it's about a 2 hour drive for me, but not that far really. it's such a sweet place for outdoor activities.
I still need to visit the lakes, hopefully will get up there this year, awesome vid mate, super rocky, great stuff 😁👍🏻
Thanks buddy! You can join us sometime if you like? They're big days out 👌
Super vid, done the angle tarn to Styhead before but only ever walked down Stake Gill thought it might be fun on the bike. It looks like it was 😊.
it was a graft that mate, very awkward to ride, it didn't help it was the last descent in 2 days riding with 11000ft of hiking up!
La Passion du Bike est illimitée 🙋♂️🚴♂️
It's definitely my true passion, buddy! Nothing better 👌
Another great ride, remember if you fall off try and fall up hill lol
cheers mate! haha, it's good if you can manage to do that!
Watching your vids and thinking your days out must be huge days. Even 20km in the lakes feels like 40
Normally about 5000ft of climbing in around 20 miles ish. The video before this on was 26 miles and 5900 ft of climbing. It's a graft for sure man!
Thinking of going up the lakes this year
get it done mate, it's brilliant.
taius20 can you recommend one for a semi experienced rider ?
@@beardedvikingmtber czcams.com/video/VEA8mwE8zNg/video.html probably this one mate. Park in grasmere near travellers pub. Then head up the valley besides seat sandle, to grisdale tarn, then up the back of Fairfield. Then follow the ridge along then take the right down past stone arthur to grasmere. This one is well good. Theres an option of going up 3 timea if you like and doing 3 different descent. The stone arthur one, the one to heron pike along the ridge, then right down to alcock tarn, or the full ridge along then down to rydal. Beauty of this one is it stays close to civilisation and if you have a problem its just a shortish walk back to the car.
taius20 I’ll check it out buddy, I’m only used to it round hebden but not as extreme as you 🤘🏻😂
Looks like the Langdales
Great Gable ahead at 7:14 Nice riding too
@@MrDazP1adv3ntures yeah man! i stayed in a field by the new dungeon hotel in my motor home and woke up to awesomeness! cheers mate, i felt a bit crap at riding that day, i was knackered before i set off!
That's really cool! I am subbed!
cheers buddy, glad you enjoyed it
Fucking epic mate
mate it was a graft, especially after the day before
Do you have a link to the route or strava gpx I can steal; please :)
Yo man. Tbh it wasn't the best ride, I've done far better ones in the lakes. For this ride we parked near the old dungeon ghyll pub in the langdales. Then headed up rosset gill and over to Sty head tarn. Then came back over from sty head and then took a left to stake pass instead of going down rosset. It's easy to plan if you want to do it 👌
