I am from India love you
Has there ever been a “Your weapon does not kill”?????
HISTORY
Wow 😮
I’m Hindu,,,
You’re talk everything right about Kali..
Mahakhali weapon
Ram Dao is after Lord Rama, it has nothing to do with the Ram hanging upside down. A lot of things in Indian subcontinent carry word Ram as prefix like Ram Laddoo etc in the honour of Lord Rama. Thank you.
No matter how happy they are to win, the winner always looks devastated when his opponent gets kicked out early or has a breakage.
Because it feels like an unfair victory
That's why I love this show. No other show has this level of sportsmanship, respect among participants and high standards of ethics and professionality like this show. They're not men, they are gentlemen

omg thank you so much for pointing that out. best laugh I've had all week.
HAHAHA
Mr.Fancy saw that laughed a little lol
You can see josh's worried look when his opponent's sword was taken asside for inspection. I love that respect that the bladesmiths have for each other. It is indeed great sportsmanship.
7:19 that was a pretty hard slap
TheOfficialKobeMay thank god someone else noticed it
No, the other guy was just bending and made a tighter area. thats why the slap sounded louder.
lol kinda spank
😂😂😂
anton smith might have also added in a “slap” sound effect post-edit
Seeing ram dao here makes me feel proud. its a weapon vastly used by bengalis of India and Bangladesh . Even in my ancestral home in a village in Bangladesh we keep weapons like ram dao, teta , bollom to protect households.
I always want the guy with the cheaper forge to win...
I want the one that loses to win.
I want Doug to win

Berserk huh? Guess they know their target audience.
When they called it a comic I got triggered lol
When he said it i automatically heard the Guts theme
Exactly what I was thinking. I watch a ton of anime but i still call em cartoons
von neumann i had to hear that twice lol
Yep hahaha
I like when they give a history of the weapon and talk about the required parameters. Not all the FIF youtube vids do.
I get the feeling they only included it in this video due to the end result of what happened.
If they put extra stuff in the beginning you know that something goes wrong in the testing

I love this show, the way the competitors always act respectfully towards each other and the judges is great. It's nice to see a fair competition between skilled craftsmen.
I loved the Berserk reference, really threw a curveball there
Actually crafting Zodd's sword would mean none of the judges could wield it properly 😂
What if guts was a judge
Good thing I have Zodd’s version of the sword 😮💨
Had to rewind that when I heard ZOD and BESERK it was unexpected but welcomed
The actual name of this weapon in Khadga. It’s a Sanskrit word. This is very common in India. Specially in Bengal, Assam and Tripura. This is generally larger than what you guys have showed here. Thanks for making it.
Uhm I would never want to correct you my friend nor to start a quarrel, but the Khanda or Khaḍga is a completely different sword from the Rāmdāo.
Not only is a straight double edged sword without a point, it also have a rounded pommel and a long curved tang, but the most important thing is that it's dedicated to Shiva, not Kālī.
So we are talking of very different weapons I'm sorry. :)
@@Dylan-ug6jp I don’t even know what are you talking about. Lord Shiva also has a Khadga, and the name of his Khadga is Chandrhaas. The Mother Goddess (Shiva's consort, Kali/Durga) also hold Khadga. Dear friend i am a born Hindu and i know what is my culture and what is written in our scriptures. We keep Khadga in our house as auspicious objects. One more thing Khadga is still being used in every part of three Indian States during Animal sacrifice ceremonies in almost Every Kali Temple. You dont wanna correct me, but i seriously want to correct you regarding this issue. Correct your facts, at least read Kali Dhyanam to know what weapon she holds, or come to West Bengal, India, to see how we are still making Khadga traditionally.
@@PKDutta As a fan of historic weapons I would like to come to your beautiful country one day both for see it's wonderful scenery and see all of the historic places and maybe assist to the sacred ceremony you hold there, I know that even today those two beautiful sword are still used, a thing that I find very fascinating and also very important to maintain alive the traditions.
It rest the fact that you talked of two different swords, and that's also a fact, It's impossible to confuse the Rāmdāo sword with the Khadga, they are two weapons of completely different conception, construction and design.
I accept your opinion, being a native, but I repeat that from my sources, which are differents and many, that the two weapons are totally different.
However I hope in the future to be able to see you, who knows maybe you will really correct me, the future is not written and maybe the two of us will be able to meet. :)
@@Dylan-ug6jp hello buddy, just to let clarify which you guys were discussing. The weapon used in this is 'KHARGA' also known as Ram Dao. KHARGA being actual name. And it was used by gurkhas and bengalis not rajputs (unlike what is mentioned in the video). Khanda is a straight sword used by rajputs. Though some rajputs started calling it Khadga thats why the confusion is there. but originally kharga was ram dao.
Was surprised he left off such a critical point.
ditto, shame to lose on a technicality but at least you know they are running a fair competition.
@@adam346 that's the truth
Most likely, he doesn't know what is the purpose of that feature. May be he thought that is optional decoration.
Yutaka Go they told him before hand
Gary Pickering not me. He didn’t care about all that
It's a Human Sacrificial Sword of ancient India, mainly used in bengal (India), called as Raam Dao a.k.a Khanra sword. Its heavy and really deadly.
Not necessarily human sacrificial. It's a weapon for sacrifices in general.
and now the creator of berserk passed away! may his soul rest and peace but really it is a shame that he didn't able to finish the manga.
To win 10K:
Forged in Fire:
Make a Ram Dao
Must be between 20 and 23 inches in length
Must have a finial ball as decoration
Must have the eye of Kali as decoration
Must have a demon buffalo head as decoration
Must have a disc pommel as decoration
Pass the kill test
Pass the strength test
Pass the sharpness test
Make sure the weapon doesn't break
Make sure the judges like the weapon

I'm a simple man... You make perfect weapons, always, plus to that... Tou even take the time to talk and mention Zodd's usage of that sword, man, this is my favorite show.
You know, now that I see it, Zodd of BERSERK does use a Ram Dao as a weapon. (RIP Kentaro Miura)
A Berserk shout out!!!!! If you haven't seen it yet, and if you decide to watch it, you can thank me in this comment thread. 100% amazing! A masterpiece in anime and storytelling.
Whoa there buddy did you
"Watch" or "Read" it there is a big difference
Forget that he knowingly turned in a warped blade, the guy keeps saying how a part of the design doesn't matter and then gets DQ'd because it doesn't meet said parameters of that part. Feels like justice.
Let's say he was living in India some hundreds of years ago and was given an order for a blade by a king, to be used on a particular day for an animal sacrifice and he missed one of the parameters required by the king. What do you think the outcome would be?
@@DevendraMahendraSingh his head will be gone

Lol that guy give me the creeps
😂😂😂me too
Davide Bonfantino I remeber my HOD when he say it
That all I want now 😺
It's KEAL - Keep Everyone ALive
I have one in home, and it's way bigger than 23 inches, the eye on the blade gave me nightmares as a kid. I think the one in my house if sharpened can hack a man in two, now it's a bit rusty. My grandma told me not to touch it and if touched not to keep it back without killing anything. It freaked me out as a kid. The blade has many names, Ram dao is usually it's official name but colloquialy we call it "Maa Kali'r Kharra".
Ten grand?
Mr.Beast: “Here’s 50 grand for participating.”
it will keel better than 50 grand
What? 50 grand?
Ben didnt had enough equipment at his workshop, his belt grinder was made of wood. Its impressive, he made that weapon.
Love n respect from Assam, India.
I can't believe they mentioned the manga Berserk. This show is awesome!

One of these days, the guy invited to "shake our hands and surrender your weapon" is gonna take a swing on the judges.

We knew the test would be cut short when they gave so much extra time at the beginning of the video. They explained the sword, they showed him in the house eating a meal... it was clear one of them would be eliminated early.
'And sir it will kill' that smile kills more😭
I am from India and very proud to see a weapon of India in your show..
Me too Indian
Figured out a pattern here. whenever the clip has the Judges specifically mention the parameters, you know someone is getting disqualified due to an oversight.
It's awesome the sadistic way that Doug says: "It will kill."
I REALLY APPRICIATE THE WEAPONS BACKGROUND AND HISTORY THANK YOU FOR INCLUDING IT

"Heat treatment is the soul of a knife."
There is your winner.
Bengalis will really love and feel proud to watch this😌😌🙏
😅😅bihari and nepali also
Now they have to craft the dragon slayer from berserk
The reason I like this show so much was because i thought the ngombe nulu was zodds sword then they go and do this what a trip 😂
I knew either a parameter would be missed or an early catastrophic failure would happen as soon as the judges went into the full history of the weapon 😂
Ben ignored the instructions like he can get away with it then Karma came.
They're pretty specific and clear about needing to meet the parameters, he even talks about it as he's putting his half-assed notch in the tip then is surprised when his weapon is disqualified cause it doesn't have a finial ball... the word BALL is in the name smh
People's minds slip on the simplest things or the simplest assumptions. Especially when you're under pressure like that. And like everyone who loses on this show, looks like he took the loss with a stride, and I'm sure he learned a valuable lesson.

Cuts a plastic water bottle :

I love how friendly there all of them are
The dude won but everyone's talking about the half second where he blew on the sword with the mask on 😂
Fun fact : Doug actually says “KEAL” cause he knew that kids would be watching this show so he formed an abbreviation that is : KEAL -> Keep everyone alive , and he said this to signify that the main purpose of these weapons are for self defence
For those who talk about the "Berserk" reference, here's the unfortunate news today. Kentaro Miura just passed away. May he rest in peace.
Got so many of them at my place! Never knew they were so deadly!
I’m from Salem, OR I’m so glad our guy won
Can he just say "it will kill" normally, i always start laughing when he says it.
Of course he can...but it's his trademark feature, so he'll keep on saying "it will keel".
I can’t believe History Channel just mentioned my boy Nosferatu Zodd. BERSERK REFERENCE?!?!!?!!?!!

Why do some of the weapons they forge for only a $10000 reward look much harder to make than the weapons they forge for a whopping $50000 reward?
I've never seen bigger than a 10k reward? Is larger reward at end of a bigger tournament?

At 8:28 you can tell the host doesn’t want to disqualify him for that.
I knew someone would miss a parameter when they talk about it for the second time.
These ram-da/khara they built are two small. Traditionally these things are pretty big and heavy. Though we'll tried. Appreciate the effort
