you guys should add that little history of weapon that you guys show on tv

John's blade was by far a 10k weapon of death. That bronze combined with the Damascus was gorgeous!
Yes
Indeed...
Quite quite
The added weight from the bronze in the handle balanced the sword perfectly, he was absolutely right in his decision process. Not having a properly balanced blade has been the downfall of many a Forged in Fire contender.
@@menghao737 very true! They mention that A LOT!
That madlad does a damascus blade and a cast bronze handle, what a guy

"So to test your blades we are going to be firing it directly into earths molten core. Its not what your blade does to the core but what the core ...does to your blade."
Jesseca Alba unfortunately due to the nature of the core your weapon has suffered a catastrophic failure and I’m going to have to ask you to please leave the forge
Your blade successfully destroyed a portion of earth's core and removed a part of the magnetic field. Overall, it will keeeell (Thanos)
This entire comment stream has me dyin XD
Ahhh looks like there's a problem after hitting the core seems as so ur sword as gotten some glints and rolls
Looks like we will have a problem: When swinging into the core, i felt the handle slipping. Also i felt the blade getting all wobbly, it could be from the gravity of the situation, but most blades could handle such a standing. It is what it is.
Doug; Peel an orange with a peeler.

As soon as i saw how much effort that guy put in his handle i knew he's going to win.
Clearly not wasting any time
Yeah definitely other guy kindve cheaped out using a car part to make his
To be honest, I was a little worried. Usually when people try to go all-out mistakes are made and they have to cut corners. He had an awesome work ethic and knew how to use every second to his advantage.
To be fair, that's usually not the case, the people who spend more time on the details to make a beautiful looking weapon usually lose, which is unfortunate, but this show is about performance and durability... sometimes ergonomics if the two weapons are neck and neck. Although, handles specifically with swords, if its too round, it will cause the sword to twist in the hand during impact which will cause poor performance in the test. So it does pay off to spend some time on the handle.
Fr😭
Maybe the nicest quality knife on the show. Bronze handle is very impressive and the Dragon Skin is flawless.
check out the episode with Egyptian swords as the final round, the winner of that one even has the judges saying it is the most beautiful piece they have ever seen on the show, has a guy with a long pony tail in the episode
@@paintballmonkey666 I know what knife you talking about. I wish they compared finalists for $50,000 The Best of the Best.
paintballmonkey666 nawhh, this blade had zero to complain about
That other sword had a welding spot and had little spots
@@Kelvinpierre99 lol welding spots on a damacus blade made by a master sword smith? mhm.. dont think you saw the episode
paintballmonkey666 look it up maybe?
That bronze handle on John's weapon is just a masterpiece. 99% of guys go for the wood handle so it is nice to see something different and the work he put into his sword.... he absolutely deserved to win.
One is a hobbyist.
The other is a blacksmith.
Which is which
@@LittleLo You can tell which is which. John knew his sword. He knew that since it's a short sword, the weight needs to be in the handle so it makes wielding easier. That and he took care in designing it, whereas Tom made something a bit crude, poorly matched, and seemed to just kind of throw it all together.
Well, to be fair, Tom did make it to the final round, so there's that.
Both is a blacksmith. One just made better weapon
Blacksmithing is a hobby
This one was simple, one guy built a m1832 artillery sword, the other guy just built a short sword
a short sword that's heavier than a long sword, the design on that thing was quite poor
itzFYEB true
lvl 87 dragon's breath vs lvl 2 crude standard issue sword
A short sword that’s wider than most Vikings swords which were supposed to be wide. There’s a point at which a blade can be too big and that definitely exceeded it making it too unwieldy
@@fletcherbullock7291 But he's from Texas😢
The difference in build quality is astounding.
“We’ll be firing a canon ball at your blades in this strength test. Let’s see how they hold up.”
"We'll be firing a field artillery round at your blades in the strength test. Let's see how they hold up"

These judges are always spot on with their assessment, every episode they make the right choice and explain why. They're also very sympathetic to the contender too which earns respect.
not always. there are some times where they were flat out wrong.
He put more than his heart into that sword and it shows beautiful job
I read
He put more than a sword into that heart and it shows beautiful job
John just made an masterpiece .
when he started to make making handle that way, it was already done for other dude.
I think this guy made the best blade ever made in this show. It's absolutely gorgeous and very sharp and functional.
I think the same as you
This is likely one of the best blades ever made on forged and fire as far as mixing beautiful design with functionality.
That sword looks like something a space marine would wield in Warhammer 40k
Devil 8355 I was thinking the same thing.
FOR THE EMPEROOOOOOR
It looked more like an Ork choppa.
Space force. I heard president Trump signed a 1000 unit contract with this guy worth $1trillion. Nice job. 😂🕺
Except much smaller lol
Came here for my daily dose of "it will keel"
Thats the only reason i watch these
Keal
The one guy took all that time on his handle and (in this edit) they never even mentioned his blade, yet he made it from Damascus, actually pulled it off and it’s was visually pleasing.
To take that amount of time to make your handle, that’s absolute confidence in the ability to forge the sword itself.
This man is a professional.
My fellow Texan had a great attitude but was no match.
My secret? A big hammer.
*Hammer is immediately exposed as being inaccurate because of its weight and his inability to handle it, causing an off centered tang.*
Nerd
His secret was the hydraulic press
Just like his sword. The IRONY...
That has nothing to do with it. The rest of the sword was accurately built.
@@ninjahombrepalito1721 Not very accurate if the judges are complaining about the weight being too far forward.

I mean... he ain't wrong
Omg i laughed so hard at this. Thank you 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

John's blade is perhaps the best made blade I've seen on the show. Wow. It's worth $10,000 on its own.
One of the top 10 most beautiful weapons in the show for sure
Damascus steel blade AND a beautiful cast bronze handle?
this is way above and beyond lmao
That Damascus blade and bronze handle with that performance IN 4 DAYS!!! The best forge I've seen on this show by far!
My heart aches to see that beautiful sword shot at...
If this guy could cast a handle and forge a blade of that quality in just four days, imagine what he could do in a month.
Also, has the Texan boi ever seen a sword in his life?
Love it when the guy says ' It will Keeeeell '
Not doug Doug

Wow the Damascus blade with a full Bronze handle! That's a beautiful and powerful sword. Amazing job by John
Hands down the best blade I've seen in this show till now
"You must have a dragon scale detailed handle"
There was no dragon scale on that other blade.
This has to be the most beautiful sword I’ve seen on the show
9:31 It's really weird seeing Wil with a stocking cap on.haha
It really is
This sword is a good collector's item.
Who asked?
weeb
Well, it wasn't made for that
sweetie its a killing machine...... and u want to put it in a display case?? the disrespect...
@@graysonbauer7909 They're just commenting on it's quality, just shut up lmao
The guy managed to cast a handle and make Damascus pattern blade in 4 days!! And came out with the win! That's some efficient work put into that sword
Quality champ. Finally someone can fight with illya. The unbeatable shield guard.
Holy... you remember the guy, you are the man! He was awesome to the boots
With the tests, Tom liked to pat John on the back and say, 'Hey, nice job!" He seems like a nice guy.
I am! John was a super good guy too!
One of the best eps because it shows an actual master smith.
The difference between "this will take time but its worth it" and "its not much but it'll do". Also did anyone else see he not only forged a bronze handle but the blade was damascus. Thats some skill
The man johns blade has to be pound for pound the most devastating blade I seen on this show.
The bronze and Damascus was a beautiful combination not just that, it was a combination that was lethal...for it would keel!
Who else is sad the presenter is not shooting the gun himself anymore?
Previous times we had the bulletproof test he always showed his incredible marksmanship.
Takes away from the show
You assume they just did that in one take. And mayhap there's your answer.
They show the effort he puts into his handle, but then he has a magnificent Damascus steel blade as well.
That was probably one of finest pieces of craftsmanship on the show.
Tom out here making a buster blade
Doug is having so much fun
I bet he loves his job
8:39 - when Doug swings it all hysterically and says “it’s fun to wield it is fun to move around it cuts with every slice” that’s when you know who won
Doug out in the sun: It’s hot
Doug after going inside: It will chillllllllll
"Everything's bigger in Texas" That bravado didn't age well
Including the lunatic asylums ....
they just couldn't handle the texas way
John has delivered by far the finest weapon in this show and it is deadly

One of my favorite swords. Glad to see an awesome exemplar like this one.
Wow, he deserves to win. It is literally one of the bests blades I've ever seen. He is awesome
Well deserved win, the most beautiful sword i've seen in this competition.
The beauty of a sword showes the skill of a smith thats why most of the more beautiful blades win
I love this sword, so pumped it's on the show!
"Ok so we shot the edge and it's not rasorsharp anymore." *looks at smith* "what were you thinking?"
😂😂
One of the finest I have seen on this show. Very nice work!
Hands down best strength test they have ever done
Idk why but every time he says “it’ll keeill” it’s satisfying
I smell a JoJo reference
One of the most beautiful swords I have ever seen, just amazing!
It's a rare occasion to be able to tell who won just by seeing them sit on the table before the first test
I like the part where Doug said "it would kill" or "it would cut" it's pretty funny and satisfying in same time :D
While it wasn’t that good, I still admire the use of a leaf spring, just for the uniqueness
Beautiful sword. Amazing craftsmanship on the handle too.
Full fledge forged in fire champion.
give that man raise for nailing that.
Doug- "....the weight...."
Tommy- "I'll go pack my bags then.."
That handle was gorgeous
6:05 thank you
Its good to see a fellow volunteer bring the forged in fire champion title home. I live just outside knoxville.
That handle was top notch. Well done.
He's not just a blade forger, mans a freakin' artist.
that's one of the best blades I've seen so far!
That bronze handle was above and beyond
Best blade I’ve seen
that bullet split was epic
Tommy i can see isnt a master blade smith, just seeing the blade after grind shows he overheated the blade, the edge being blue and yellow. Doing this after heat treat is never ok
John is not only a smith, he is an artist
i love how they dont take it personal. and they just be cool with losing
The big guy made me nervous when he didn't not protective equipment
The winners blade looks stunning!
First time I've ever personally seen a pour on Forged. Awesome
That look fun wish I was there
I love when he sais
" it will keeeell
So confident he knew he was winning
NO TOMMY NO HE JUST WANTED TO GETHERDONEEEE
gorgeus piece
Beautiful looking sword
Man these guys are extremely talented
I like the way he says'it will kill'
That short sword is a piece of art, a deadly one.
I don't know why but the first one the " will it kill " slicing that dummy is sooo satisfying
The man made a cast bronze handle and a damascus blade. He's a true master of his craft.
That sword with the Damascus and bronze was a beautiful thing
This guy was the best by far
“Most importantly sir... IT’LL KEEL” 😂😂
