6.39 - she feeds her friend and her friend returns to feed her. That is called Gursha in Ethiopia. Its a sign of love and respect. We eat from one massive plate, in a communal manner, be it with family or friends. Ethiopians are built on love and respect, togetherness. Why you find we are the only un-colonized nation in Africa.

One of the most beautiful videos to watch. To see the rise of women in this sport, and how NN Running is helping them. The Ethiopian camp is really pro-women, and you can see the their rise on the international stage… even for men, but the Ethiopian ladies are slowly lighting up the sky
    Well done GSM

Imagine what's gonna happen in 10yrs from now! These women are saying they didn't get to train easily when they were young but that the new generation is having access to better training program and equipment! I am in awe to even think what our eyes are going to witness!

Curious (and so glad) how Gidey managed to learn English well enough to express herself while the other girls still prefer Ethiopian.

They can speak a little english as most ethiopians who went to school do, but sometimes if you really wanna express yourself from the heart is better to speak in your language!! Kenenisa at first didn't wanna express himself in english and this gave him a negative image in contrast with Haile, with experience and traveling Kenenisa is now very fluent!

Well done NN running on supporting these amazing brave women to follow their dreams and lead the way for younger athletes to follow them. You can be what you see. I Love the simplicity of their life in an ever increasing complicated world.

I believe it's partially their genetics that helped them. Look at most of the African women's legs. They have little fat probably because they don't sit as much as Europeans or Americans do. It's easier to lift off legs with low fat levels. Kudos

There is no process. Your lungs will breath how they need to. Don’t overthink it or force it to breathe a certain way. They will struggle in the beginning which is normal. Your breathing patterns will naturally become more relaxed as you train more.

Letesenbet Ghidey and other Tigrians should be under unimaginable pressure living under constant fear and surveillance from their colleagues and bosses.
Tigrians all over Ethiopia are being hunted down, raped, murdered and mutilated. No doubt the athletes from Tigray too had either being in prison at some point and at best threatened by some form of punishment. The pain of living among the killers of your family should be unbearable.
