      YES!

      Doubt so. Nvidia should've already learnt something from the 4090 issues.

    Why would they use the same flawed powe design? This is crazy.

    The million dollar question is will ASUS honour RMAs on a melted connector? Or will they say "oh look, there's a scratch, so nah, you're on your own!" or "The melted cable is user caused damage. You're on your own!" or will they charge more than the price of the card to fix the card caused by the STUPID BLOODY CONNECTOR WHICH WE ALL KNOW IS FAULTY!!!! So let's skip ASUS all together. NVIDEA should have a lifetime warranty on the connector causing the death of the card. After all, the problem is caused, at this stage, by NVIDEA's arrogance in using the connector when the community hates the damn thing.

      I don't mind skipping Nvidia and Asus ... iff AMDone coughs up a 5090-beating card next year! 😅
      Probability = 0%

    if the 5080/5090 don't have dual 12v connectors... I'm not sure anyone should even buy them

    4-slots GPU is fine by me, coz there's 7 slots in my ATX casing. LOL

    Soooo... instead of better performance per Watt - twice the power draw, (hopefully) twice the performance? They just doubled the die..

    Rumor has it Nvidia cancelled the 5000 series. Not sure what to believe anymore.

    Nvidia is such a laughable company as of late. Older cards could get away with high current draw bc they used THICKER gauge wires, not much but noticable, coupled with the fact there was 24 vs 16. They are so desperate to make a connector that is not standardized(cough...Apple...cough) they do not care that it is dangerous and can cost people a GPU that will not get RMA'd.
    If they went back to the three or four 8 pin design, there would not be resistance in the connector, in which generates heat

      In all fairness, the 16-pin 12VHPWR connector is formally adopted as part of PCI Express 5.x standard. Its just that this standard sucks

    Bro, no, the "issue" was already talked and talked and talked, 99% of cases was user wrong on connection, nonsense this topic

      No your comment is nonsense. Do some research and have some common sense. The 4090 power connectors are still melting and look at the repair shop data. 240 melted cards in 1 month is not user error.
