I appreciate this video. I know what to do now. I have been using a rubber mat in mine. Have watched other Pelican Raider set ups. Most focus on everything but the floor. That extra stability is a game changer for these types of boats.

Great video. You are amazing at standing, while catching fish. The combo of the wood and mat is def working for you. I fell off my boat once and it all happened so quickly, the life vest saved my life that day. I will NEVER get on another boat no matter what the circumstances without a life jacket. Loved the video. Maybe you can do 1 or 2 videos(depending on the length) of your boat set up and stuff every January at the beginning of the year, especially since it’s so cold.

Hey Jett
I use a thick piece of that green styrofoam insulation board from Lowe’s for my floor and it weighs nothing.
Then I added the Excercise mat. It works really good. I like plywood too but I didn’t want the extra weight. The styrofoam is no maintenance too lol.

I see alot of people do this. My concern with this set up is the extra weight. I don't have a way to weigh my boat but I would imagine I'm over.
I understand that concern for sho. I tried balancing it out by switching to lithium batteries and cutting away nearly 100 pounds. I'm 200lbs so I figured with limited tackle I'd stay under weight. But that's a great point of concern.
Hey, how is the keel guard working out for you, is it holding up?
It held up well for about 5 1/2 months then things started changing. I'll start working on a review on it. Give you all my completed thoughts on it.
