Panopreter Basic, for turning text files, including *.rtf, into speech in most major installed languages.
Dr. Geo and EuklidDynaGeo for the constructions of Euclidian geometry. Dr. Geo is rather basic and some of the documentation and samples have been poorly (or not at all!) translated from French, but the program's native file format gives amazingly clear output with a small file size.
EuklidDynaGeo has far more constructions, but to see slanted lines instead of staircases you have to export as a picture first (and change from the program's standard to a good export resolution). Again, language can be a problem, as the last version has never been translated into English. So you'll either have to work with the program in German (which is what I do) or settle for a slightly less sophisticated product.

This situation effectively means you have to get yourself a newer ipad to use Brave on your iPad, if Chrome can run on an olderish iPad why can't Brave?

It might be ok for jpgs but that's about all. Try Honeyview as a faster and better rendition viewer for most image files. For NEF files I use Nomacs, which will rotate an NEF file but without the damage.
