It's nice to get different perspectives from other bow users and how they like to play the game. Lately , since the new strand bow dropped ,it seems when I opt to traditional control ( as opposed to checkmate) at least half of the players ,on both teams , seem to be bow mains and I’ll be honest I really like it !!!
@@Geist7920 You've inspired to use bows more often in PVP. I noticed that bows force me to use PVP best practices (coverage, distancing, team playing, etc). In the last IB I had great results with TICUU'S DIVINATION and surprisingly got the catalyst PVP part done very fast. I got several multiple kills. A player in the opposite team even sent me a congrats later. Keep these videos coming!
I just recently fell in love with bows . Been running hunter with the gauntlets and trinty goul. She got little slower drawtime but peek shooting and the amount up time with lightening rod its worth it.

Great video Geist. Missing Hynra and you would have all 3 horsemen of the bow apocalypse in the convo. Maybe oaths should have faster movement with a bow equipped, a boost to drawtime (greater than it does) and like 20-30 stability so your perfect draw window is longer, but not infinite. Should promote more aggressive play, especially with the built in AE. That plus some aim assist falloff at range proportionate to the accuracy stat (so the top tier speed bows are not as aim assisted at range) and the damage falloff (would also like that proportionate to the accuracy stat), should be able to bring bows back into line. Oh and wishender's wallhacks only up while at perfect draw so the window is a lot shorter.
I dont agree in forcing a more aggressive playstyle with bows, or any weapon really. Maybe give better choices, making more of a difference between lw and combat bows. Also dont think bows became suddenly meta, more like the general changes made them stand out, but the weapon sandbox is a fleeting thing, so I'm not sure a nerf is desserving, or at least such a nerf as I've seen people begging. There is a lot of intolerance with another guardian's playstyle sometimes, everyone wants their thing to be the best, and by far, and for ever, not wanting to adapt to any change or compete. I also dont think Oathkeeper need a nerf, they are a niche option, and ro their thing like many other exotics. I've been using bows for the las couple of years, after testing many weapons they clicked. And been trying some other weapons from time to time, but always get back to them. I remember being the only one in the lobby, or maybe just another soul like me, and seeing how they became more and more popular is kinda good and sad at the same time. Just my two cents, as a kinda mediocre casual guardian who likes bows.

I personally love to use a good sidearm with my bow. If I'm feeling extra spicy I'll throw on a shotgun for more aggressive play
