Yeah, I know we won't be able to use special ammo as much in #destiny2 but when we do it's going to punch pretty hard! As much as I love fusion rifles and the space magic, I'm excited to try out something new with the updated Crucible.

Tbf, cartesian isn't the end of the world. Outside of the aim assist it's kind of meh.
It'll still be great for the extra damage. I'm still waiting for the all range, UP, HIR roll.
Can't you just craft one of the craftable fusions? Surely at least one of them can compete with Cartesian for that role.
Edit: Techeun Force from Last Wish can have this exact roll, but it's an adaptive frame. Good enough I'd say, not as fast firing but has better stats.

As a player that took a good 6 month break im glad he does this and appreciate it. So many little things change but it adds up so I was behind on fusions until I went back to this channel
It’s been great seeing everyone actually break down the numbers like 5 days later after the TWAB, once all the hot takes have settled and people can actually realize what Bungie’s doing. Along with CoolGuy’s video, maybe Bungie actually put some more thought into this than we realize.
Yeah, there is definitely a lot of thought here. I know a lot of perks are slipping away, but such a big change is going to require a lot of things being let go. We'll see how it plays out!
Discord is gonna be an S tier perk on special weapons now, what a 180 in terms of the perk itself lol
Riiswalker, Macabre, Mercurial overreach and pressurized precision can all get it. Macabre can roll snap and discord. Riiswalker can have iron reach or opening shot and discord. I actually scrapped a Macabre that had snap discord and only kept one with opening shot. Kicking myself now, and i scrapped a bunch of pressurized precisions with discord if they didn't have high impact reserves. My Risswalker is a close to a god roll, small bore, light mag, discord, iron reach and a range masterwork. 87 range and 71 handling.

Yeah I'm really excited. I hate picking up / earning special ammo, but I certainly understand the reasoning and I'm all for trying something fresh.

@@Legoleflash I got smallbore/hammer forge rifling, projection fuse, killing wind and successful warm up. With a stability mw. I also got some pve God rolls as well. I did get a killing wind and high impact reserves with a charge time mw, but I love successful warm up too much. Those follow up shots are just insane. 🙂
Looking forward to the update to use with Tesselation. Been loving it with Stasis (Strand, as well) being able to run synergistic mods for all 3 slots. Soon only needing to land 5 bolts, AND the +20% damage buff to the fusion rocket are going to make for some serious fun.

Just found your channel and as a fusion lover this is heaven, been trying to replace my erentil since it got sunset, currently running the epicurian from your video and liking it but havent been able to get a good glaciocasm. Anyways keep up the awesome content.
Man, I get the need to shake up the sandbox, but it really deflates my drive to chase weapons now that most of the god rolls I got are now not what they once were. What makes it worse is when I know I had weapons that were suboptimal, like successful warmup fusions, that I dismantled because of vault space reasons.
I didn't even think of the possibility of reload perks were gonna get effected for specials (though I rarely saw anything other then overflow in regards to something involving picking up ammo). With that said though I might consider using fusions more often, you explained it very well and my main issue with specials has always been consistency, so if most fusions now run the exact same across the board it might be worth looking into

As much as we (or rather other people) say not to horde weapons we might never use, this situation validates holding multiple weapons with different perk layouts just because the change is that drastic. I was struggling to clear out space without deleting a few fusions a few weeks ago. Now I'm trying to figure out how to build around getting special ammo more frequently than the average player using discord on the fusion while utilizing stuff like harmony on the primary to then swap right back to the fusion and repeat. Also, I bet some people are wishing they'd kept some of those Demolishionist rolls now...

Hey Lego! I have a adept exiles curse with backup plan and QuickDraw but it only reaches 73 max range. Is it good enough to use against other insane fusions?

I have finally become a fusion enjoyer after over a year of watching Lego's videos. Just acquired the Techeun pattern, and I'm unsure exactly what to craft. For sure UP and I'm thinking RF? Also debating on small bore over full bore, as I feel like I often accumulate a lot of ammo more often now with ammo changes, and won't be getting UP effects all the time. Maybe extended or hammer forged as well. And of course range vs. charge-time masterwork, hmm. Any advice? I'm on mkb.
Techeun Force has been my go to for Trials ever since I saw one of your videos on it. I’m currently using your god roll with Under Pressure + High Impact and it feels very consistent. You think I should switch back to RF after this change? (Keep in mind the only thing I care about for Trials is consistency.)

Hey Legol.. trying to figure out what fusion I should use.. rn I’m stuck between Techeun and Midhas reckoning since they both Arc for my Mask of bakris build.. which would you recommend atm & what perks? Or iterative loop
Timelines can run firmly planted and elemental capacitor for an extremely stable burst, then with accelerated coils and charge time mw for a (587ms) charge time, not to mention it also has a high zoom (21zoom) which can make the recoil seem even less existent (sadly zoom doesn’t affect range anymore). So overall we can run double charge time and double stability perks with this weapon without needing to get a kill prior to activate any perks, I’d say this might become one of the most consistent fusions in pvp

Gunsmith is selling a godroll timeline rn. Best scope, projection fuse (accelerated makes it a 6 bolt), firmly planted, elemental cap, and church MW.

9:34 as a casual PvP player, my Timeline’s Vertex has over 4,500 kills. All that before switching to Iterative Loop. So looking forward to incorporating that into my PvP Solar build.
If you've got 4500 PVP kills on a timeline's vertex then you're not a casual PVP player. Not hating, just saying, that's WAY more than a casual would have.
Good thing I saved my Plug One.1 Adept with Under pressure and backup plan! Also has extended barrel and particle repeater and stability masterwork, its a beast.

Rain of Fire with Vex Mythoclast + Scatter Signal is gonna be my go to for a good while now. Speaking of, do you know if Vex Mythoclast also gets the base +20% damage boost from the Fusion Rifle changes? Or would it be the +14% Crit Damage from Auto Rifles?

Successful warmup is the best perk for a fusion since old school backup plan. It’s nasty once you get that first kill.

Well if the ammo is loaded like it currently is in checkmate it doesn’t automatically get reloaded it goes in reserve slot first. So technically you can still proc kill clip if you don’t constantly reload your special weapons
Hmm, I guess they changed something, because I show a clip in this video where you can see my bar filling up, and the ammo already auto loaded into the mag when I swap to it. Wonder if it changed or I'm doing something different
@@Legoleflash when I did check mate trials recently the ammo wasn’t auto reloaded for me at least. Idk but it’s worth checking again to make sure

Man I was ready to like this as soon as I saw the thumbnail 😊, my Techeun has 1087 kills on it for a casual pvp player. I'll continue to use that bad baby with Corkscrew, Projection fuse, HIR, UP and Range masterwork.

Looking forward to your 'equipment only' video. If I am reading it right, surplus will no longer be a viable option, or, if your abilities are just not accessible but still there, it will be a god tier perk, especially as Golden Tricorn will lose value. In fact, any ability based perk is gone.
And some ability based perks are huge buffs! Like Pugilist and Demo giving 20% energy on special kills!

used to with Jolt, but not anymore. All of those will do the same damage no matter which weapon applied it. Unfortunately. I thought it was interesting when Voltshot did a little more depending on the weapon you used.

Today I learned: not only is bungie with the damage changes reverting the much-needed buff to 600rpm auto rifles' TTK forgiveness compared to other archetypes, but if i ever get my long-desired reprised gnawing hunger with an origin perk, its origin perk will - instead of being one of the best pvp origin perks in the game (which is basically useless in pve) - be ENTIRELY worthless in pvp!
Honestly that special ammo perk pickup problem is super easy to fix. Just make the addition of ammo to your weapon from the transmat count as 'picking up' ammo bricks for those perks. Yes, it does not fix it for reload-based perks, however it does for picking them up off the ground like overflow.

not really, adaptives need all 7 bolts with backup plan and that is ROUGH

Right on time, Banshee has sold two PvP godroll Timelines' Vertices in the past two weeks. I've been trying them out and holy shit, they're GOOD now. Like really good.
I know its too niche to put in the main video. But how do these changes effect horizontal aggressive bursts (coriolis force)?
Just like bolt to kill changes. Its strange with the charge time of a adaptive, with higher damage than a precision, but not as much as an actual high impact
I actually checked it before hand to be sure… it doesn’t change anything for them 😩 if the buff was like 10% it could have made a big difference, but aggressive sneed too much help

Under p + high imp. for sure for me, but for others it could be different. I just feel that kickstart hinders my playstyle too much, and it won't make a difference in bolts to one burst on this archetype either.

Even after all of this, I still wouldn't go around deleting your old fusion rifles if they have what you consider to be good PvP rolls even if they have something that will be irrelevant after this change to the sandbox for the simple reason of...we don't know how long that sandbox will be exactly like that; maybe they make adjustments to fusions a month later, or 3 months later, or even 6 months later. Bungie can change things any time they want and I'd hold on to anything you might consider good even if you think this change will make it irrelevant because it's only 1 change away from being totally relevant again if Bungie decides so.

Haha yeah prettty much, although, if ya want to stretch range a tad bit, HIR is a good way to do it

That really sucks about overflow. Overflow is one of my favorite perks even in PvP but this change really sucks but maybe bungo will find a work around.
Also why does no one ever talk about the moon fusion rifle Dream Breaker?
Mainly because it's just a worse version of Trinary System and Techeun Force. Stats wise it just doesn't live up, I think it feels okay now though, just not the best.

yeah that totally destroyed all the trace rifle goodness with that, but traces did get a good buff and I'm curious where they will end up

Fusion rifles are actually my favorite secondary weapon in PVE and PVP.
Of course Bungie is making HIR unnecessary just a few months after grinding no less than 10 Iron Banner rank resets for the Pressurized Precision roll. At least there will be new rolls to chase, and we can look forward to another 2 hour fusion tier list from you (hopefully?)

Nah, wouldn’t change bolts, Harmony is only 20%. You need at least 24% I guess you could stack harmonny and two surge mods, but I think the other perks are more worth your time in that column
I know this is left field but I'm curious to know how Delicate Tomb and Bastion will do in the new sandbox
Unfortunately Delicate Tomb suffers from other problems with the way it distributes damage, but Bastion could see some play now.

I've been away from the game for a year now. Fusion rifles have changed so much. It used to be all about consistency perks before they were nerfed or taken away. Now it's just damage perks.
Yeah, kind of. Accuracy stuff like Under pressure and firmly are still a big deal but everything is nerfed so much that range/damage do seem to be the primary thing
Thanks for the info, but speaking of. You mention so many guns and perks so fast, it’s hard to keep track. Maybe release this same vid in parts, like part 1-3 so we can compartmentalize them easier

So just to be clear, high impact reserves on an adaptive with acc coils WILL change the bolts to one burst 5 from 6.
I know it was mentioned in the video, but it felt like it was just a glancing mention while talking about how HIR won't be useful 99% of the time, so if you've still got your perfect Burden of Guilt don't trash it.
Yes, it will help specifically for accelerated coils on adaptives, AND it will help all fusions push damage a little further. IMO it's still great, it's just much more nuanced now.
