At minimum you should grab a roll with Discord for Pressurized Precision in #destiny2 . I think it's great as is, but to have a future proof GREAT fusion rifle is worth investing the Iron Banner grind for.

This fusion just continues to climb in value as the game changes. Figured I'd do an update to the god rolls while Iron Banner is still up. (and while I'm stuck in RNG time out for what I really want to talk about 😭)

I also noticed something using this very gun with Discord/Hatchling, was that it can actually overflow the mag in certain instances. Mine has a mag of 6 but looked up and suddenly had 7 ammo in it.
Thinking of what happened I actually killed 2 Dregs with one burst and both kills refunded ammo so I gained more than I started with! So if you’re in a place with a bunch of Thrall or something you could potentially gain quite a bit of extra ammo.
The Threadlings spawned by weapon kills count as kills by that weapon, so they can proc weapon kill-based perks

Discord is probably my favorite perk this year, it's stacked. Sometime I go double discord weapons.

I haven’t played D2 for months, but I kind of want to do a fusion and sidearm loadout and devils ruin is a nice fusion back up, as well as a quick swap when you do have ammo for a finish.
Honestly devil’s ruin’s best value is just getting the ability to take out someone in a super.

I've loved this perk since I first got it on pve Sniper. It's just so fun.
It's a great little niche cheese, but ultimately we all know that if Checkmate becomes the norm. Discord will 110% get nerfed. They will undoubtfully remove the ammo regen perk, or at the least make it so it takes the ammo from reserves. These kinds of perks have been nerfed this way countless times. It will happen again.
I love this roll, I’ve managed to keep a few around thankfully. Gotta remember to try it next time checkmate is the trials labs
Full Bore, Particle Repeater, Discord and Eye of the Storm is my roll. It's BEAUTIFUL. Unfortunately I've got a reload masterwork and didn't roll projection fuse so I'm still searching.
It feels like Ashraven's Flight did back in D1 and it SLAPS.
Last iron banner, I farmed and farmed for a high range + discord version of this fusion.
The best roll I got is a 70 range version with discord + cornered and for the past few weeks during the different ammo crate changes in trials, I must say this fusion has moved to my #1 slot.
I even ran double fusion rifle the past couple of weeks in trials: get a kill with my disruption break hollow words and then swap to proc discord and get two more kills with free ammo.
It’s even more valuable now that you only start with 1 special ammo in iron banner and presumably all of crucible now?
I think they’re probably going to nerf the timer on discord down to 5 or fewer seconds though - it’s just too good!
Also, maybe you could make a video about discord? It seems to push the 1shot range out a good bit compared to the base weapon. I always have supreme confidence with discord active because it’s such high range and consistent.
As a side note, I found that your over/under Scatter Signal craft is literally made for Rumble. Bricks are everywhere so it just.......well, there are large stretches where you don't even touch your primary.

Been loving this fusion since the first IB rotation it came out, discord hatchling is a real fun roll. Its worth noting there are a couple of aggressive shotguns that can also roll with discord, and they gain increased fire rate after the intitial kill with infinite ammo while retaining their damage. Very chunky guns for pve.

The only roll I kept of this gun from week it came out was Full Bore, Projection Fuse, Discord, HIR, and unfortunately a stab mw. But pretty awesome. Just started using fusions this week in PVP.

Lego, since you won’t post your invis build 😡, I looked you up on destinytracker and have been maining it the past few months. It’s awesome for 1v3s. There’s a cool trick I saw discussed recently with reaper and powerful attraction where dodging right after a kill spawns and orb and instantly sucks it up.
It’s probably not great with the graviton invis build since you’re usually dodging preemptively, but definitely is amazing for other invis/devour builds. I recommend playing with it!

I got one with discord high impact reserves fairly quickly and used it a fair bit back in season of the deep when it came out. But it took a backseat. But I would love if more special weapons got discord. Mine is small bore, accelerated, Discord, High impact but unfortunately the worst MW with reload.

I have a roll with discord and hatchling. After the 2nd pve kill every kill spawns a hatchling. I run it with rain of fire and vex mythoclast and it is infinite radiant. You can break discord and over fill the magazine with enough kills.

Minor? gripe here...we have not one, not two, but three types of energy weapons that all basically reload like auto rifles.
Reloads are the heart and soul of a weapon's personality. Just ask Kommander Karl. If/when there's a Destiny 3, I hope they make fusions more unique in their archetypes and trace rifles and linear fusions reload in unique/strange ways.
Breachloaders, Bullpups, big, cylindrical batteries, en-bloc magazines, wind-up guns, idgaf.

I did. I’m just updating it because Discord special weapons stocks have gone up, and I’ve spent a lot more time with the fusion to know how good it is.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I wouldn't keep grinding if your not having fun, but if you've got extra iron engrams, and nothing else you're hunting for, you might as well try for a few more.
checkmate is peak pvp when there are no devil's ruins, cerberus, and bows
Checkmate is a pile of shit, if I want to play a balanced pvp game, I would play halo, destiny is all about builds, abilities, and supers.

I got an extended barrel/hammer forged, enhanced battery/projection fuse, discord and high-impact reserves roll with charge time masterwork a couple of IBs ago. It has been a while since I got a decent roll from IB.

Checkmate trials is stupid. Sitting in the back slow play primary. Then if you do get special and die and a teamate res you its gone. I think they should make it so you spawn with special but you cant pick any up after its gone for each round.
Well shit now I'm farming. (seriously tho good points, I was looking to play IB anyway, regardless of loot)

It's fine, but falls way short of HIR on this fusion now.

as a bad player, I think perks that reward kill chaining are overrated. the number of times I can actually take advantage of discord or kill clip are a handful a match. perks like eots and under pressure, moving target are way more useful and work every fight.
It works very well in pvp and pve - especially in this special ammo economy.

I always find it funny when you talk about "using" a fusion in PvP. I'm sorry but 1 can only "abuse" fusions in PvP!
I don't think checkmate fixes D2 pvp, They need to reduce aim assist (Primarily on mnk, if not entirely remove it on mnk) in pvp for it to be enjoyable for me. Its just not rewarding to aimbot people down, or get aimbotted down by people using quad targeting adjustor when having no targeting mods is already free.
heres my issue, you dont need special ammo to play the game, sure it can make it more fun, but no one likes a one shot kill, the requirements to see discord work in every match for the average player are too high most people run in a straight line and trade for the most part, discrods viablility rests on assuming you get the kill in one fusion shot otherwise you dont even see the perk and you need another kill prior.
Once you get used to the play style, you can get more discord kills than anything else. :o

If you're running double special, you're throwing. They nerfed the shit out of ammo economy for double special.
Want to know why everyone's dying to ads? Oh, they're running double special and no ones killing ads because no one has ammo. No special, no heavy drops if you use double special.
I honestly have no problem with ammo. Just run an ad clear exotic weapon, and you'll get tons from the heavy ammo finders.

PP SUCKS for PVP. The TTK is too fast in today's crucible and the PP's scatter pattern is too erratic. My hits left my enemy 90% of the time with 10% health left. You have to get within shotgun range for this fusion to be effective and then you're dead.
It IS great for PVE though.

Fusion rifles are cheap heavy weapons in pvp. Change my mind.
Or you could get good with a primary weapon in pvp. Hate fusions, low skill high reward weaopn.
