Peace and Joy! / Pace e gioia! (The Barber of Seville but everyone's a contralto)

This is the first scene in act two of Gioachino Rossini's comic opera The Barber of Seville (Il Barbiere di Siviglia). Earlier in the day Dr. Bartolo had a very bad encounter with a drunk soldier and hopes that there won't be any more strangeness headed his way, but unfortunately for him, Count Almaviva has come up with an even weirder disguise.
This is part of my project to sing all of The Barber of Seville by myself despite the fact that I am a contralto profondo and most of the characters are, you know, not that. You can check out the other videos here: • The Barber of Seville
