I remember when he lost his child the media changed their tune on CR7 for a short time and Then one month past and they were back to their regular schedule program
"Newspapers - creating news, not reporting news"
That concept is as old as the hills, it's not an original thought of Simon's.
He's been doing that ever since he's been on Talksport. Deliberately saying controversial things to create headlines about himself. Because controversy brings views, and more views = higher advertising revenue and raises Jordan's profile, all meaning he can demand higher appearance fees.
Many "journalists" and even ex-players in the media have a real parasitic nature to them. They leech off the public's interest in the England team and they do it 100% in their personal interests.
Back in Euro2020 Southgate basically said the same thing jus far more politely, Jordan even praises him for it at the time.
This guy Simon is absolutely correct when describing journalists nowadays. They are the scum of the earth who have no integrity when it comes to their profession. It hard to believe anything they print or post.
All for clicks and retweets
Simon is absolutely right. Disingenuous journalism has created nothing but divisions within people. Glad people see it and call it out.

Simon schooled Jim here, the British media for too long have run on jealous and hatred. Can not stand them

ItÂŽs rotten in all western media.. Not only the british one, unfortunately.
Ronaldo throwing his toys out of the pram again
Ronaldo never liked being subbed off whole his career, a lot of players dont like it, but these journalists dont get attention without mentioning Ronaldo. Simon spot on here.
Its good to want to be on the pitch the whole time but you're in a team everyone needs to be given ample opportunity. And people need to stop thinking theres some sort of witch-hunt against Ronaldo. As journalists their job is to amplify major stories around what's trending!
Ronaldo donât care who speaks about me
I'm giving Simon a thumbs up. He spoke the absolute truth about the media and the anti Ronaldo sentiment based on jealousy. That other guy couldn't stand it bc he is part of the problem.
Journalists donât like when their personal opinions are challenged. Thanks for shining the light on these unskilled opinionated chatters, Simon!!!!
And Simon isn't just another media talking head spewing rubbish?
Jim never wants to accept the truth.
@@ezyfnef Are you disagreeing with me that they are all opinionated rubbish dispensers? Opinions are not always based on facts, it is on feelings.

My thoughts exactly đŻ, Simon's points were a bit too close to home.
The Ronaldo saga is the new way to divide fans, and people in general. Once again, the media is up to their BS to get more clicks or views or whatever. The guy has been a legend for years and deserves to be remembered as such.
I can't believe my Pierce Morgan ears what Simon is saying about Ronaldo.
Well said. The media unfortunately is evil who craves for headlines and attention.

Damn Simon Jordan đ I donât think many people on this planet could handle what the media have done to ronaldo throughout the years. Itâs actually peak, no legend of any other sport has been treat like this not even Floyd mayweather who is more outlandish and egotistical than ronaldo.
And for what? Constantly proving wrong the people who prayed on his downfall for years! Now that he's on the verge of 38 they climb up on him like hyenas who are so happy to say the lion isn't as strong anymore. Well, it took ya long enough. Absolutely disrespectful the headlines they're coming up with to try and harm his legacy which he gave his blood, sweat and tears to achieve.
People may not want to âbe Ronaldoâ but they certainly want what Ronaldo has. End of Jim.
Well said Simon. The destructive nature of many, but not all stories in media outlets have created an unprecedented & needless level of negativity for sports figures & fans... Call them out for what they are đđ»
It's not about media. It's all there for us to see.. ronaldo always makes it public
Pundits do the same, they all cant agree, they have to, to have the so called heated debate, its scripted for clicks and views and comments

Itâs the public, we are all more interested in seeing downfalls than a rising story, the biggest stories are always controversial ones.

Jim is a simpleton
Simon is also part of that "media"
@@vincentvries9854 so? That just gives his point of view more credibility.
Finally Simon is now seeing the human side seriously not all players can handle what Ronaldo has been through with the media and the media has made so many people believe Ronaldo is a bad person
Let's get it real my man.People DESPISE Ronaldo because he's a top athlete with multiple titles and clout.Folk cannot stand that they HATE it.
1000%%%% spot on Simon you could smell the jealousy from the itv coverage of Portugal against swizz tonight they didnât even try to hide it Uk pundits (ex players) whether they want to admit to it or not are jealous of Ronaldo and are loving and seething in this controversy they continue to surround him in just because heâs the best
I have no end of respect for Simon this guy has so much integrity which is lacking so much in these times....love it
He's a massive hypocrite and a walking, flip-flopping contradiction!
Finally some one has stepped up and called it as it is.
i hate it when people like Jim thinks they can ruin some one's reputation
But itâs cool when a certain Argentine is involved right ?
They are all jealous of Ronaldo.
Agree.
I don't like the petulant Ronaldo, he is narcissistic and is bent on destroying everyone who doesn't treat him like a god. I'm not jealous of him. If I was I would also be jealous of Pete Davidson, Di Caprio or prince Williams, but I have no beef with them. Guess it's the same for journalists who criticise him.
đđđđđđđđđđđđ At last somebody has spoken out about the media. They are to blame for the unnecessary pressure our football players have been put through in the past forcing them to play in fear in international games of undeserving criticism and demands to be dropped, just because journalists enjoy the power they can wield on influencing managers by influencing the public against the manager if their demands are not met. It's a dangerous game that has cost us dearly in international games in the past coming from nothing more than jealousy and personal feelings about a player that have nothing to do with football. Peace and love
This goes beyond just football and sports.....

I've never heard a footballer who played with Ronaldo describe him as divisive, a trouble maker a bad teammates or anything of the sort. But yet, that is what the media would have you believe, they are constantly insinuating all sorts of things without any actual proof
Ronaldo competitiveness apparently is a problem
This is why I love listening to Simon...
Most definitely I think itâs too easy for media and reporters to spread rumors and scandals for views. There should be some rule or law created where a reporter or media pays a penalty for such scandals. These things can literally tarnish a person legacy and reputation in minutes, a legacy and reputation that takes years to build.

Don't hold back Simon, spot on analysis of the state of so called journalism!
The unspoken aspect here is that the predominantly woke mainstream media significantly ramped up its anti-Ronaldo agenda soon after Ronaldo voiced his respect for Jordan Peterson.
People dropping the word âwokeâ into sentences just for the sake of it is annoying. Mainstream media is far from woke.

100% correct...I'm Portuguese, and that particular newspaper is not a reflection of the Portuguese opinion, where most voters are Brasilians and Messi fans.
Even some of the commentators in the Portugal vs Switzerland match were disgusting in the way they talk smack about Ronaldo. They shade him at every chance they got especially when Ramos scored. Well done Simon by being analytical and fair at the same time. đđŒ
The most important thing that came out of the Piers Morgan interview was the Glazer's being embarrassed into selling Manchester United. I thought that's what the ManU fans have wanted for years. I don't always agree with Simon, but he got this pretty much nailed on. This has become a war of the media Vs Ronaldo. Any slight action he does they will use it against. Damned if he does, damned if it he doesn't. He doesn't play and Portugal win , Ronaldo is the issue. Nothing he does at this point will be held in good light and I hate that the media controls the narrative that will be passed down in history books because they're tarnishing the good name of an absolutely outstanding athlete all in the name of clicks for their articles.

What a great men here. I have the outmost respect for Simon Jordan for speaking and saying what so many of us have noticed but couldn't quite put our fingers there. This campaign against Ronaldo is sickening and the hate and envy from desperate newspapers or media outlets is outrageous and poisonous.

There is a trend where the media is behind Messi and in support of him and against Ronaldo. Its been like this for a while now.
It has been like this since he began his career and the english media has lost it since the Ronaldo-Rooney WC incident, it has come to this because they have got reason now that for the first time Cristiano is having a very bad time on field.
Ronaldo is on the bench but he's enjoying with the bench every minute of the game. Tomorrow the media will come out with ridiculous headlines against him
The media is divisive to create drama to make headlines, everyone reacts to it in different ways ronaldo not have handled it correctly but it doesn't excuse the Media for creating divisiveness in the first place. Simon is right.
