  • The apps are getting more sketchy by the day. It seems that ANYONE can be a driver, merely by putting a sticker on their car and playing make-believe as often as they'd like, with no repercussions.

99% of my airport is PRIVATE. Reason: the apps want drivers to accept low-fare trips and they are HAPPY the immigrants are there taking these shit rides. It's high profit for the apps when people take shit rides and dont convert them. We used to get paid better, but since the apps have lowered DRIVER PAY - but increased rider fares - they are making more money on the slaves than they're making on us. This is why the apps don't complain. They couldn't care less about safety and those purchased accounts. That's why my private ridres will never go back to Uber or Lyft. They know there's illegals running rackets up there and they dont want them with their home/business addresses. They want someone they can trust picking them up, not some ILLEGAL immigrant casing their house when they're gone.

Entrapment versus Deterrent. If they put a police car up there WITH LIGHTS FLASHING, people would slow down...thus reduce accidents and save lives. Yet, they dont give a shit. They want people to speed so they can give them a ticket, even if they total a car out or whatever. It's all about collecting money, not about saving the community from having a bad accident. Deterrents actually slow people down and make traffic safer. Entrapment just pisses people off and makes them pay fines so the cops can buy more shit. LOL!

I used to ride bikes with cops all the time. Good guys. Even went on a few dates with some lady cops and they are just normal people. But when you start taking shortcuts because you dont wanna do the work (like lying to the public to get something done), there's a line that has to be drawn. Be a deterrent to crime, not a snake in the weeds trying to hop out when you see crime going down. If more cops were PRESENT, then crime wouldn't exist as much. It's like they're trying to be sneaky to catch people, just to make money on people - not to deter crime.

I’m surprised you never experienced that before and you’re in a major city. All throughout America law enforcement been using different undercover cars including commercial ones for certain traffic enforcements. In GA they have a 18 wheeler for the GSP fleet. Uber and Lyft have nothing to do with this you can get pulled over by someone in a catering van that’s undercover. I recommend people be alert.

I was 2/4 today one lady paid over $30 to go 22 mi Uber was giving me $16. oh well Ill just leave it on the app, oh well there is the door.
These riders getting into our cars acting like they own us you don't own shit and just because you got me as a driver doesn't mean your leaving with me.

There are a lot of "tricky ideas" out there in the streets that get people killed all the time. Pretending to be a UPS delivery guy is a tricky idea to get someone to open their door. LOL! But better hope the homeowner doesn't have a shotgun.
Then you find out the UPS guy was really a cop trying to be tricky to get involved in a situation. I don't do well with "tricky" being a mode of operation in the streets. Games lead to graves. That's what I've learned by being from the hood.

We are here to get paid to do a fair job. If the apps don't pay, the only drivers left will be sketchy ass people renting accounts. The last SAFE aspect of rideshare is to get a private driver. Too much shit going on, and too many games being played in these streets. We're the professionals, and the apps are pissed that we wont lay down like slaves and just take the beating their giving.
