Lot of the white fullbacks took hits that he didn't take because he just knew how to avoid that head on collision. Likewise, he knew how to avoid taking shots to his knees that all straight on big guys took. He mentioned that him and Jim Brown were the only guys that could run like a plow.

But as far as I can tell, Riggins didn't start showcasing the zany side of his personality until after he started listening to the early-morning radio personality, the Greaseman, on DC-101 in 1982. Riggins would eventually become a guest co-host on that show, so that's how I know he was a fan.

Yeah George Allen used him as a Fullback for a couple of years to. That's one reason why Riggo retired one year before coming back.
