Ok, let's be honest here, who has licked a battery? Anyone? Anyone?
I thought it was something everyone did as a kid
As a child, it's your duty to check whether it tingles on your tongue. 🤪
I fell out with the required CYA of “ok, but don’t lick batteries!”... 😂
Lol never thought of it ;)
If you haven't you maybe have missed some other cool stuff, try now, never too late :D
Find someone, who looks at you, the way Dr maxfield looks at dr Shah 😍
😂
This!!
I was also wondering this😂lol, are they a couple???

They never disappoint.
Can you do a daytime routine with product recommendations & a nighttime routine as well?
I’m jealous
Please make a video about layering active ingredients like AHA, BHA, niacinamide, retinoids.
That would be really helpful!
Love you guys!
Yes, need this!
YES !!!
I mean we have all the ingredients it’s just which one is first 🤣🤣
@Chonky. which one?
I’ve heard do them it the order that is most important to you. Also the consistency of the product. I’m all about hydration so hyaluronic acid goes on first, then niacinamide, then moisturizer to lock it all in
You guys should show like examples of the skin condition so we can know if it applies to us… cause I have texture still but they aren’t like pimples it just feels not smooth
Same here 😥😥
Same!
Maybe they don't want us to do a self-diagnosis, because we're supposed to go to a dermatologist (don't mean to sound rude here)
They might be comodones
@@tai-qp5te nope it’s not that either. It’s nothing like dumps or pimples at all. It feels like my face has a like soft sand paper texture and it gets like that so easily no matter how often I wash my face
Please make a video on dark underarms.
1. Why people get dark underarms.
2. Which hair removal method should be followed for preventing dark underarms.
3. Treatments and product recommendations for dark underarms.

This place is like an weekly Zoom call that is actually of substance.
I love how y’all are helpful and great teachers without aggression!!
You guys! 💕Thank u 🙏🏼
I love getting two perspectives in one video!
Bad skin texture is the bane of my existence 😂
In short, retinoid, salicylic and niacinamide is the solution to most problems.
No wonder since the time I have started using them, my skin has cleared up and also the texture is disappearing.
7 months of consist usage and my skin has renewed.
Better than ever.
What products did you use?
I absolutely absolutely love how y'all are speak so that we understand everything. And I absolutely love that you're always saying don't spend too much. That's awesome! You're not making it all about money you're actually making it about the product. And what's in the product.
Just want to express how much I love watching you guys!! Always learning with a splash of humor.
Another word for dewy skin: glowing, glass, healthy, smooth, baby skin, radiant
I prefer dewy over matte mostly because I have dry skin.
@@palestar828 I prefer dewy even though I'm oily because I can't beat the oils 🥲
@@pikachuiswatchingyou I kind of wish I was oily... Lol. I know that sounds weird, but my dry skin is like the desert. It makes make up application difficult because it always looks so cakey. Ugh. And it's just a pain in the butt! 🤦
@@palestar828 I hear you, No.7 foundations are great, in particular the Protect and perfect and the Hydroluminous one for dry skin. They are so smoothing and don't cling to dry patches.
I love dewy. That four letter word will remain.
As an esthetician, I LOVE your content! Always looking to improve my skin knowledge!
I think it would be really great if you guys could do a skincare routine (AM+PM) and maybe explain the products you use and why.
Your educated practical info, humor, advice + your personal chemistry?
Winning combo! Thanks.
I really hope next time you’re able to post pictures next to the types of textures skin so we can determine what skin type we have and also can you list top 5 retinoid for acne prone skin?
I love your guys’ videos!! Please make one for pregnancy, what to avoid, what to add to our rutina, how to improve/prevent stretch marks, etc. 😃
Alternative words for Dewy: Luminous, glowing, radiant
The word "moist" comes to mind, but it sounds naughty 😂🤭
I like radiant. Dewy is what my skin becomes after I sweat.
Those are great suggestions! I am not a fan of "dewy" either.
I never liked dewy. And honestly, a lot of Instagramers that think they look dewy actually look greasy.
Luminous is my favorite.
Love when you include reference pictures of the conditions you talk about!
Thank you for all that y'all do, for teaching us on how to take care of our skin. For Y'alls bright personalities, for Everything! Y'all are really changing the whole industry! God bless y'all!
👏🏼Quickly becoming my fav channel! With SO many products/procedures/price tag, skincare is so confusing! You guys give thorough info in fun way..love the delivery ❤️
I was literally thinking about whether I should start using Paula's choice while on tretinoin because my texture is also at 70%. You guys basically read my mind !!!
I love how you talk about individual ingredients! Thank you!
Would be awesome if you guys did a tutorial on at home dermaplaning!! Or vids of in office procedures too! Love your vids and LOVE that you guys value evidence based products!
so I'm new to your videos (and loving them) and yes i've noticed the constant Retinoid/Retinol promotion and all i can say is THANK YOU FOR DOING SO... I have struggled with my skin pretty much since bouts of ACNE in my youth and now psoriasis and OMG after 3 months of retinol usage on your recommendation i can see such a huge difference... i actually feel like i may one day soon have the kind of skin texture i always wanted.... thanks guys
I really love your videos and how you always break down the ingredients. Could you make a video talking about which ingredients you shouldn´t mix together in a skincare routine?
Love this new video idea. In depth details about wrinkles and lines. You guys can talk about what the lines are, movements in the face that you should try to stop to make them deeper, what lasers and peels do and how deep they go to remove them.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I watch your videos and they are always interesting, informational and to the point. I watched other videos by other dermatologists and many times I find them too "wordy." I end up speeding the video. But yours are always to the point. You keep us interested from beginning to end.
Anyone else notice the way that Dr Maxwell looks at Dr Shaw? It’s really loving and respectful. Warms my heart ❤️
*Dr Shah
My thoughts exactly!
Dr Shaw's wedding I googled it. He had a beautiful Indian ceremony. His wife is beautiful
LoL, that's why I thought they were a couple ☺️
I literally thought they were lovers 🤔
It’s crazy how I told my boyfriend I need to get rid of some these tiny bumps of my face. & I don’t understand why I have them when I been cleanseing and moisturizing my face & using sunscreen everyday... Not knowing what it is & now I know its called milia ! You guy posted this in right day for me . Thanks
I have licked a battery, a 9 volt and it feels very weird. I so enjoy your videos and I am taking better care of my skin and it shows. Thank you so much !
Thank you so much for sharing your expertise. This has helped me a lot in putting together a skincare routine for my son who has acne. Both my husband and I didn’t have acne as bad as his so we were clueless in how to help him. His acne has improved greatly and now we are working to improve some of the scarring he has attained on his cheeks. Thank you!!!
Skin texture has been a problem for me since so long. Finally I know what I can do about it 😀🙌
Did you fix your texture ? I’m dealing with dry flaky texture it’s everywhere :( how do I exfoliate this
My skin is improving after using retinol! It got bad during COVID but prior to that I had clear skin so my confidence was definitely being messed with. Thank you!
What brand of retinol are you using
Thank you so much for teaching skincare routines and pairing that with helpful products. I'm undergoing breast cancer treatment and needed help with new skin issues. Your information helped me know what to talk to my dermatologist about and gave me new products to try.

So happy I found this channel! You two really make skincare approachable (break it down so easy to understand---hallelujah) and you make dermatologists so relatable--love you guys! Thank you. It's ok if you don't want to...BUUUUUUUT....would you ever consider doing a close up of your skin on camera? Kind of a weird question...but I'm wondering if you have ANY small imperfections? I think of you two as skin gods with no imperfections at all haha....but that's probably not realistic. Maybe a closeup could be a reminder to us all to not stress over if our skin is absolutely 100 percent perfect or not??...I just might need a dose of reality and to be patient with myself as I work toward improving my skin.
I started using retinol a while back after watching your videos and after a short period of mild skin purging, I'm loving how my skin is improving:) you got me on board!

Yes, I have scalp issues

Yes! I have a dry flaky scalp & it is so much worse in winter. Dr says its psoriasis. Now I also have some dryness on earlobes too : ( I bought some T Sal shampoo as recommended from another doctorly video. Have to try it & see if it works. Non medicated shampoo recommendations would be so helpful. Lot of stuff at the drugstore seems toxic or even more drying.
I had scalp issues too. Try using sulfur 8 grease mixed with Monistat (Miconazole). Now I have a totally clear and hydrated scalp.
This is the video that I NEED! You guys are mind readers! 🙌🏻
Thank you for always sharing your thoughts & knowledge about skin care! Super helpful
I’m pretty ashamed to admit this as a MD/PhD student studying skin disorders...but I let the sun BLAST my naturally very fair skin in my early 20s. now about to turn 30 and I already have broken capillaries, persistent redness, and dark spots. Can you guys talk about mechanisms of sun damage, prevention (like how much sun is too much, what SPF is actually useful, etc) and maybe ways to deal with damage that’s already visible? Thanks!
Def a video on broken capillaries
I'm on my 20's and already got broken veins too
How do you know you have broken capillaries?
Me praying every day for less skin texture and less visible pores😩🤲🏻
God: let's make doctorly do a video abt it
FRRR 😢
@Zainab Nadhom Noooooo please don't cry..Please try to lift your mood up asap because this is NOT worth it .. acne and skin texture is a thing 99% of the people I know including me suffer from but we learnt to stop beating ourselves up about it because it's extremely detrimintal to our mental health
Believe me it gets better and sometimes all it takes is a visit to a trusted dermatologist
@Zainab Nadhom Yeah I hate it when my mom points it out like I don't check myself a hundred times a day lol.
Something that helped me is a leave on salicylic acid gel because I have comedonal acne..
But controlling my stress is the most important factor
Thank you for mentioning sebaceous hyperplasia - very helpful.
Enjoy your commentary- keep it up!
I like the term "your best healthy skin" thank you for all the great information.

My skin looks and feels amazing after using retinoid products for months now, thanks for the tip
I think the saying is “down the rabbit hole” as it is in reference to Alice in Wonderland. Alice follows the white rabbit down the rabbit hole to Wonderland. 🐰
I always thought it was down the rabbit trail. Think of traveling though the woods like in Robin hood times. If you leaving the main trail to follow a rabbit trail, you soon find that trail goes nowhere. You then have to circle back to the main trail (or the main topic of conversation).
For anyone interested in the highest rec'd CO2 laser, I had it done after years of trying everything else they rec'd in this video. There are 2 types- Dot and Wave. My doctor rec'd the less invasive Dot during our consultation. Six weeks later at the checkin- zero results- so she went ahead and did the intrusive Wave around my mouth/chin where the rolling acne scars are. 2 weeks downtime and red skin for 2 months. It's been 1 year and the results are very minimal on the pitted acne scarring. Zero results on a scar from having stitches as a child, chicken pox scar, and a sun spot. What it did well on were very fine lines I didnt even really notice I had. TLDR: not worth the $2500.
Scars need several appointments of microneedling and then chemical peel all in office. The at home microneedling and chemical peel can work but takes much longer but doesn't work if you got deep pits.
I had the same experience
100% agreement w that triple lipid moisturizer!! My skin hurt from tret.. took two wks off and only used this... my skin was repaired!

I miss retinoids 😩 I was pregnant and now breastfeeding... so I feel like my skin has been put on the back burner. I’m just trying to protect my skin with lots of sunscreen and moisturizer. But man... my skin was SO good while using adapalene. It truly transformed my skin.
A video on procedures like microneedling and laser resurfacing would awesome. What the treatment entails and results you can expect and average costs would be awesome.

Milia are the bane of my existence. I got a retinol cream from my dermatologist for it that has helped greatly. I do need to get better at exfoliating my skin though.

You must not have textured skin. Consider yourself lucky! I have it on my face and make up looks bad and cakey because of it ☹️
@@palestar828 Actually I figured out that I have textured skin as well after this video 😂 But I've started to use retinol since the last month and also AHA for the 2 month because of the PIH and fine lines. And it really improved the look of my skin a lot, so I guess it helped to skin texture during that as well. Especially AHA made huge difference immediately for the bumpy look.
