I like the way you give product recommendations available in the UK, as most youtubers are in the US. I used the ordinary lactic and mandelic acid, but I now prefer the Isntree chestnut 8% AHA, which is cheap and find much less irritating than the western acids. Does not sting at all, which seems to happen with a lot of stronger acids for me. I always use the simple gel wash on holidays as it comes in a tube rather than a pump

I used vitamin C in the morning and it irritated my skin so bad. I had to switch to only using it at night to avoid the irritation. I noticed that one of my dark marks got bigger too. 👩🏽. So..that’s a No for me. ✨ 😞. Edit: Maybe because I live in Hawaii is the reason why my skin burned when I applied Vitamin C during the day. I applied sunscreen as well but I still felt a burning sensation everyday until the product was empty. I used Drunk Elephant Vitamin C too.

Hi Dr V, About three weeks ago I got contact dermatitis, caused by a Korean skin care product I've used (CSRX snail 96 essence). In fact it is very much recommended by numerous dermatologist, youtubers, including yourself. Maybe I did something wrong with it, even though I don't know what exactly. I've used it as every person I've watched using it. I gained big red, itchy patches on my cheeks and swallowing under the eyes. It was a disaster. My dermatologist said to make compresses with Avene thermal water and to put Avene Cicalfate+ cream on top. For now the skin is calmer but I still have those red patches. Will they fade away completely? In this point of view, please make a video how to overcome or what to do in case of contact dermatitis. It will be very well appreciated. :) And one more thing - I use a lot of your products (I have your book too). :) Will they help me deal with it? Thanks to your videos and cosmetic line, I've had the best skin in my life. I hope to have it back soon again. Have wonderful, warm and cosy Christmas holidays! 🎄💝🎄
My vote is a firm no on Vitamin C in Cera Pep. My skin and many others’ find specifically vitamin C to be irritating and rash inducing. I use Cera Pep with other antioxidants and in the evening. You could choose to offer two options if the formulating would be the tiresome part. I use the full range and just received the eye treatment.
I don’t know whom all others you’re talking about. But VITC works great on skin of color. Even time I went back on using VITC I saw my skin getting better
I was also thinking perhaps offering 2 different options would be the best for customers to pick from. Means we can choose 1 with vit c or just the normal version.
Dr V, will the vitamin C in the CerPep breakdown due to UVA/UVB rays if worn in the morning sunlight? I wanted to ask what do you think about the following combinations of actives, 1. 2 percent Bakuchiol Serum with 3 percent Squalane, 5 percent Niacinamide and 5 percent Lactic Acid. This serum is targeted to Anti-aging. 2. 5 percent Niacinamide Serum with 1 percent Salicylic Acid, 1 percent Zinc PCA and 1 percent LMW hyaluronic acid. This serum us targeted to Comedonal Acne.
As many people don't want you to add vitamin C but I think you should because that would be convenient. Or if possible come up with 2 choices 1 with and other without vitamin C.
since i am using both the trio blemish PM gel and ceraprep at night the trio has vit c so dont need another vit c added to ceraprep unless its a different one

Hi Dr V I ordered 3 of your Hydrating Toner as a part of my order and I have to say I’m disappointed in the new packaging. Its difficult to spray. If you try with one hand the spray comes out uneven and sort of splotchy. You kind have to push hard. To get a somewhat even spray you have to push down with both thumbs of each arm. I’m not sure why the packaging was changed this new one looks more expensive to manufacture. Now I have to clean the old packaging with some vinegar and pour in the toner to use it. 😿

I am Morrocan and I tend to have textured skin with age ( I am 35). I find that vit C and HA tend to give me hyperpigmentation even with good spf , good washing... I just decided to stop using them. I find niacinamide, Peptide and ceramide are more effective on my skin. I am stilo looking for the adequate way to exfoliate my skin ( face + body) that is practical. Since I live in a sunny country, even with consistant use of SPF we can't escape from the sun. Is there a way to exfoliate face and body without maing the skin sentive to the sun afterwards? Hi Dr V when can we expect a brand update on Skin Functionals?
I am Morrocan and I tend to have textured skin with age ( I am 35). I find that vit C and HA tend to give me hyperpigmentation even with good spf , good washing... I just decided to stop using them. I find niacinamide, Peptide and ceramide are more effective on my skin. I am stilo looking for the adequate way to exfoliate my skin ( face + body) that is practical. Since I live in a sunny country, even with consistant use of SPF we can't escape from the sun. Is there a way to exfoliate face and body without maing the skin sentive to the sun afterwards?

I'm using adaplene 0.1% and azelaic acid 20% for almost 2 years, but i didn't get appropriate results as I have pcod and have serious problems with cystic acne. Now I'm thinking of switching adaplene to tretinoin 0.025 % but I'm a bit confused. please guide me on this.

Dr V , I signed up to Skin+me a few months ago as it was trending a lot on instagram.
For my textured skin concern they personalised my product with 0.15% tretinoin with 5%niacinamide and 5%azeliac. It has made a difference to my skin texture but I want to move from using tretinoin to using Dr Vs Antioxidant power serum.
Is it safe to move from one form of retinol to another ? Can you make a video on how to change products with retinol please.
