Nate is a great locker room guy too, I met him one time and just instinctively opened my arms and yelled 'Nate!' and he gave me a big hug!

Eh Jesper is nothing special, 13th forward, like he has a potential there, but he can just never finish consistently through his career so far in nj and Boston. Like he was decent in the beginning of the year and just fell off, we didn’t even even use him in the playoffs. No physicality just a fast guy but he hasn’t found it yet and idk if he will. Just a depth guy. Nosek is good and better, and Greer is enforcer, so he’s decent.
I've been on this train since before his brother, and before he was baught out. I thought we should trade for him. Now that he's a free agent then heck yes we should nab him.

Still living on cloud 9 after our Cup win! What a couple of years we’ve had! Great management, great coach, great players, and great arena! Although I wish it was a little closer to Miami. :-) I don’t care I make the drive to see my boys play.

We just officially signed Lundell for 6 years at 5M per. This now leaves us enough cap space for exactly 1 more minimum wage contract. You think we’ll get someone new or do you think Tarasenko, Cousins, or Lorentz will take that?

I really like this signing by Zito - he's done it again. Schmidt's D-metrics are still strong and he can move the puck. Sounds like another potential "OEL" situation here.

We were better last year. Defense was definitely better. Also, Tarasenko gave us 3 legitimate scoring lines.
@@dennislopez1272 Tarasenko was a deadline addition, though. The cap is tight but who knows what they can get done at the deadline with maybe someone retaining salary and all that.
@@romaliop Good news is, if a 3rd line right winger doesn't step up, we have 3.5 million in deadline cap space available.
Honestly for 800k even if he has low time on ice you can't beet it, great Zito pick up as usual.
Our 4th line is gonna be solid. I believe it will be Nosek centering with Greer and Boqvist as the wingers. I feel Nosek can be an even better upgrade than Stenlund. Greer is a bigger Lomberg, Boqvist, I think will surprise some folks. He’s got a good shot and can play a tough system considering he just played for Montgomery. Schmidt will be a solid 3rd pair, replacing OEL and can play on both ends of the ice. I see Kulikov jumping onto Montour’s spot playing with Mikkola.
Gadjovich is gonna play on the 4th line
@@dennislopez1272 that could be a possibility as well. Bump Boqvist up to the 3rd line, but I can see that spot going to Samoskevich from the AHL if he has a strong training camp

No no Zito miss big time he should trade for a rigth defenseman like Andreas Englund, Johnathan kovacevic or Vincent Iorio,Marcus Bjorn their cheap,now too late,Panthers they have a big targets on their backs and they have and old and slow defense.God help us !!!

Defense did not get better. Unless one of the young guys has a massive "Forsling type" jump
not better I agree but it's such a team system I think the upgrade in size to the 4th line will make a difference.
Think it's Lundell plus a winger for him and Luostarinen now for the 3rd line. As to if it's Tarasenko again or Roslovic or whomever. Think it's going to have to be a low cap hit to fit Lundell in as well. This ofc barring any trades.
Zito could still be cooking a trade for Ekblad, then get a good defensive D in return, like maybe looking at Columbus, there could be a trade for Gudbransson for Ekblad. Maybe a sweetner to the deal to take Laine of the books from Columbus for enough retained that it all fits under the cap after Lundell is signed. Who know a fan can dream cant they?
Not that I would be sad if they just get Tarasenko for 2M and use the rest on Lundell. Or get Lundell on a bridge and get Lankinen cheap as a backup for Knight if it all falls apart for him again.

Lundell just got re-signed for $5m per year. And all you guys thought i was crazy for saying he would get 3.5-4m, swearing it would only be $2m
Tbh, everyone who said it, thought it'd be a bridge. Not a 6 year bargain. Bennett will probs be gone next season as cap is only going up by 5M and Verheaghe will eat a lot of it. Unless Bennett signs for cheap.
@@teapea8184 Ekblad's contract is up next season so that gives us an extra 7.5M they could still bring back Bennett
@@natetobin1498 It all depends on what Verheaghe and he wants. They still have to get replacement for Ekblad as well. And possibly invest in some more defensive depth now that their top 7-8 is signed for 5 or more of the next years after they get Verheaghe resigned. If Bennett wants only 5M then yeah he probs will stay, but 7M+ is probably too much. Considering Verheaghe will take 8M or so.
Also Ekblad could resign as well for 4M-5M. So it might be as tough as this year for the cap situation. Especially if they repeat and have people still to extend.

I don't understand why nobody is pulling for Mahura (my POV from a defenseman) Josh is a diamond; High hockey IQ, good size, responsible and fast for a defensemen. I believe he has been playing in the shadows of older players but if given a chance I believe he would flourish. Said Panthers fan...
