As someone who does sometimes use a wheelchair, I want to say that I CAN walk. Wheelchairs are just for when I'm super weak, or in too much pain. A lot of us can walk, we aren't fully wheelchair bound all the time. Levels of disabilities vary.
That being said, these pranks suck and are bad. Why would you want to scare your parents or partner by pretending you got really hurt? The fuck?
I'm just replying so you can see how much likes you got
Same here, i have a medical condition that causes extreme fatigue and limb pain, so yeah I CAN walk, but often I use a wheelchair if I have to walk any amount of distance.
I went to the comments to see if someone mentioned this, I use my wheelchair when my blood pressure is too low or When I’m really fatigued
i think he just meant it must be jarring to see a girl walk in completely fine, leave in a wheelchair, and then b super energetic outside. but i understand your point.
Idk if this counts as relevant but once I broke my toe and I was in a wheelchair for a bit although I could still walk it's just because it made it easier to move around
the real crime is why these rich peoples houses are so BORING
Honestly. Like, you have so much money, and you just wanna buy a generic mansion?
In Aussie terms I think it's cause they're owned by cashed-up bogans who think a McMansion that's furnished like a display home is aspirational goals
bogan: an uncouth or unsophisticated person regarded as being of low social status.
"some bogans yelled at us from their cars"
You get the gist - and thanks, Oxford Languages :-)
They all look the same! They're like what a 10 year old thinks a rich person's house is supposed to look like.

Wait do you know anymore info? 😢
That thing about Piper Rochelle is so haunting in retrospect; because her mom is now being sued by 11 of the kids who participated in the channel for heinous things. Tehmimi has made a video on it; it should be one of the most recent ones to date (if y’all wanna know more). Heads up for mentions of sexual harassment and child endangerment, though.

Actually, I think a lot of the kids are smarter than you think - they can see most people in these clips are acting (pretty badly, in a lot of cases) and just consume the content for vicarious thrills like older kids watching horror and knowing it's not real. Also, I think a lot of them will grow up to be embarrassed they even liked such stuff when they were young (until they end up nostalgic about it lol).

I'm a big fan of the prank they did on the Stranger Things s1 set where Natalia Dyer and Joe Keery put a tomato slice in Charlie Heaton's trailer because they wanted to hear him ask why there was a tomato in his trailer in his Northern English accent. It's so dumb, but Natalia told the story like it was the funniest thing ever and I love that. Stupid little pranks that are funny to literally just the people involved and not done for spectacle.

Took me a long time to "train" CZcams what NOT to recommend. Even so, last week checked two news stories on FOX News' website while having YT open in another tab. Immediately, my feed started showing CRAP like mystics, tarot-card readings, horoscopes, Paula Dean recipes, and more junk I'd NEVER click on. (My hand to G-d, what I am saying is TRUE.) Google is so invasive, after twice checking FOX, they assumed I'd had debilitating brain injury. Had to spend way too long telling Google's algorithms I am still rational.

These people are fucking despicable. I lost my grandmother last year, she had dementia and could barely remember any of my family. It’s so terrible to have a family member lose every memory of you, it hurts so much more than these people could fucking imagine and the fact that they’re doing it for money and clout makes me want to throw up.
To be fair, these videos are probably faked, still disgusting

Dude don't apply your personal bullshit to things other people are doing. @@nonymouswisp8176 "probably faked"? was there... any possibility in your mind that the people in these pranks actually lost their memory? like what the fuck does that mean lmfao
As someone who has actually been in a coma and saw how it affected my parents and such, it really sucks to think it’s funny to purposely do that to someone. I didn’t have amnesia (that’s incredibly rare), but I definitely had a while after I woke up where I was not all there and my family worried I wouldn’t ever recover. Thankfully my memory was intact.
So yeah. Maybe don’t prank your loved ones that you have gone through a horrific injury and have brain damage. It’s really not funny.
Oh damn. Hope your muscles and such didn’t atrophy

I can just imagine a kid getting thrown down the stairs and I can’t stop laughing😭😭
A real prank is a prank that has Everyone laughing and happy, not someone crying or traumatized.
It is extremely insensitive to pretend to have lost your memory or be missing, and it's horrible to teach kids that that's normal.
A real prank also doesn't harrass random people and/or is illegal
I don't agree with these kinds of pranks at all but they're still real. They just suck
That’s what I thought, after you prank someone you all just joke about it
The like upper end of harmful 'pranks' is the classic letting three pigs loose named 1 2 and 4. Anything beyond that is just shitty.
I agree. My brother used to do this to me when I was 4/5 and he was 5/6. I don't blame him since he was so young. And even though I realized after the first or second time that it was fake, (there's only so many times you can ask "who are you? What's talking? What's red?" Before someone catches on.) I developed this fear of getting amnesia. Even years later it stick around. (Talking 13-14ish) I would constantly remind myself of my name, age, where I live, who's around me, what's going on. Then I would repeat it less than 5 minutes later. (This was really strong between the ages of 9-14) And if I hit my head it was a constant loop of the same thing over and over for like five minutes.
Now, I don't think my brother's to blame really. I sometimes have this thing where I and/or the world doesn't feel real. I haven't been able to be diagnosed with anything yet. So, I suspect that came into play with my obsession with it. But I have to wonder if I would've still had those thoughts if my brother didn't prank me with that.
There was a wave of s*icide pranks here in Brazil a few years ago. I’ll tell some, so TW for s*icide themes.
They were all horrific, they filmed their loved ones weeping with their limp bodies in their arms just for clout.
I remember one girl started a fight with her boyfriend on purpose and then pretended to off herself. I’ll never forget his cries in the hidden camera video, him hugging her tight and apologizing, it was the most heartbreaking thing I’ve ever seen and she had the audacity to laugh at his face when she broke it off.
One dude was gonna prank his girlfriend and he made up a really brutal scene with a lot of blood. But when she found his “body”, she didn’t panic, she kept calm and just started calling emergency. And he didn’t like that, he wanted drama, so he broke it off immediately and the rest of the video is just them arguing and him making excuses for himself.
Wtf
What....what did I just read?

I think I just decided I'll never risk it. If I want a family I'll adopt a 6 year old with no history of CZcams pranks.
That yellow gown that the Dobre guy is wearing isn't even a gown they give people to wear. Its a contact precaution gown you wear over your clothes when you are going into a room with someone who is under contact precaution for stuff like MRSA or C-DIF. It's literally made to be torn off so you can rip it off while you still have gloves on and never have to touch your actual clothes to your gloves or any contaminated surfaces. Actual hospital gowns are not expensive. I don't know why they didn't just buy one.
I'm going to Hell but the way the boyfriend says "Remember, omg, remember our song?" and then starts awkwardly humming it has me in tears laughing every time
It’s devastating to me that these “missing” PRANKS get on trending when several missing persons cases get little to no attention. Imagine the exposure we could get for these ACTUAL missing people if even one CZcamsr just mentioned their name and picture at the end of their videos.
True. I can't believe going missing PRANKS get more attention than people actually going missing.
speaking of true crime and cases that need exposure, Kendall Rae is a youtuber that mainly focuses on cases with little to no media coverage. She often has the families featured in her videos as well so they are able to tell the full story.
I highly suggest checking her out as her content and partnership with the families of victims makes a real difference.
I know there are so many cases I'm now checking up on that I wouldn't hear about otherwise. Especially because cases surrounding POC, LGBT and Indigenous victims get little to no media coverage, especially nationally.
@@ViVi-ev3rx I’ll check that out!
I recently saw a tiktok of a woman trying to find her son whom she lost track of after she got deported years earlier and she actually found him because of tiktok
But that’s not popular right now and won’t make them any quick cash.
As shitty as these “pranks” are, I just want to say that the “walking into a medical supply store and leaving in a wheelchair” isn’t unrealistic. Not everyone who uses a wheelchair needs it all the time. I’ve used wheelchairs on and off over the years because of my congenital heart defect causing me to get out of breath really easily, and always got “wHy ArE yOu iN a WhEeLcHaiR iF yOu CaN wAlK?” questions as a kid, and it was deeply annoying
Thanks for the insight
Agreed! And they could be buying the wheelchair for someone else and testing it out
Like people with handicapped plates who have MS. They walk into the store fine and then by the time they leave maybe they're having debilitating pains or can't walk without assistance. And you can never know when it will strike
This is true! Also people with severe narcolepsy also sometimes need one because it's safer for when they fall asleep while out instead of falling over
yup! not enough people know about ambulatory wheelchair users and it makes me nervous that people will get harassed or hazed because of it
@5:10 just a reminder that people with invisible disabilities and chronic pain can and do shift between mobility aids and sometimes not using mobility aids and it doesn’t make them any less disabled!!!

"Pranks" with abusive undertones are how the perpetrators secretly fulfill their weird fetishes. They can't fulfill the fetishes in "real life" because that would be unacceptable, so they use "pranks" as a façade.
Honestly… this checks out. 😔
It’s the same as those weird life hack videos
In that case I hope they keep doing it to have an outlet for themselves instead of acting out for real on this stuff.
It is always a better option to have a safe outlet for people to use than try to absolutely ban and bottle it up waiting for it to explode whether that is metaphorically or literally.
@@ggmann13 I mean...it's still weird for them to rope children into that, but I guess it's still *technically* better than a worse alternative-

hey drew/everyone! As a disabled individual, I felt the need to point out that most disabled people who utilize wheelchairs are ambulatory wheelchair users -- meaning these individuals have physical use of their legs, but use wheelchairs during things like pain flares, dizzy spells, general fatigue, syncope episodes, etc. Wheelchairs are incredibly freeing mobility aids.
So many people who benefit from & use wheelchairs can do exactly as this girl did: do jumping jacks or whatever and get right back in it. It doesn't mean they're "faking" anything. With chronic illness and chronic pain, there are good days and bad days; there are some days you can run miles, and some days you get so nauseous or dizzy or full of pain you can't get out of bad. There are fluctuating levels of ability. You can some things one day you can't do the next. Wheelchairs aid in mobility and independence
it's a huge misconception from able-bodied people who think that those who use wheelchairs are paralyzed from the waist down and cannot use their legs period. i know it wasn't drew's intention to perpetuate this stereotype, and it was incredibly insensitive and demeaning of that girl's family to use mobility aids and disability like this in such a flagrant way. just wanted to send a little message from the disabled community! thank you :)

Here's a thing too many people don't know: there are wheelchair users who can walk (ambulatory wheelchair users). I can walk just fine, my legs work, but I have orthostatic intolerance and debilitating chronic fatigue and I need to use a wheelchair for longer outings with a lot of walking or I get really sick. I help my mom get the chair in and out of the car when I can. You can never assume you know whether or not somebody needs the chair they're using based on if they can stand and walk or not. Anyways. Woah, cool it there Danny Phantom 😂
This is funny omg
Okay I'm so glad you're okay and I'm not saying that losing consciousness is ever funny it's often times super scary but "I'm going ghost" is iconic and I'll never forget it
When I faint (which I do pretty often due to some triggers), I always tell people I’m about to faint so as to prepare them to not freak them out 😂
I'm a paralysed person, horrible motorcycle crash. I broke my T6 and my sternum , I had multiple surgeries . And I can in fact confirm when you get a wheelchair, that's exactly how it goes. You do funny poses, with dogs and glasses with the nurse staff. And then you get to return your wheelchair cause it was all a prank. I hope, oh wait nevermind.
Me and my siblings have been doing this thing where we hide pictures of Bob the Builder around each other's rooms (My siblings share a room and I have my own). THAT'S a prank, not emotionally scarring someone.
“woah dude it was just a prank”
“You stormed the fucking U.S. capitol”
Hahahaha
This was very good

these people seem to not know how memory loss works u don’t just forget literally everything
I'm so glad I was born to an Asian family where it is essentially IMPOSSIBLE to prank my parents. They would've disown me prolly if I were to someday
One of my mottos when it comes to pranks is “confuse, don’t abuse.” I like to mess with my friends in virtually harmless ways that only confuses the shit out of them, like putting photos of Nicolas Cage in odd places or texting them “you forgot your phone at my place” and if they want me to stop, then I stop, no questions asked.
I miss those pranks man. Wtf happened
Hahahahahahahaha that's nice. Thanks for the ideas
Damn, I did the Nicholas cage thing like 10 years ago. There was a picture of Nicholas cage in a picture frame of old relatives for like 4 years
I don't know why, but the one about Nicolas Cage made me laugh much too hard. 😂
I love him too but why did you choose Nicolas cage specifically? 😂
The fact that there’s kids doing some of this stuff is messed up and exploitative. Their parents shouldn’t be telling them to fake injuries, illnesses, or disabilities as if it’s funny or okay to make light of. And then you add on the fact that their audience is mostly children so you’re also promoting that behavior to them as well.
Don’t get me started on the missing “pranks”.
Yeah, i feel bad for the kids. They all seem so sweet :(
it's bc their moms is controlling them🙃 i've been watching them for years and every person who leaves them always tells abt how the mom's is controlling them. they all have to sign contracts and follow the rules and if u leave it's gonna be✨messy✨ as heck.
@@yeshazianelcastro9117
>I’ve been watching them for years
Ah, so then you’re part of the problem by giving them views...
@@ThatRipOff I kinda understand continuing to watch out of concern. They have millions of views, one extra person watching isn’t going to make or break their popularity. I watch videos out of concern all the time. I try to watch only reuploads or commentary as much as possible though.
SO THATS WHERE THAT AUDIO COMES FROM “remember, like- remember our song-“
9:40 is like a minute of them just flexing
i know this is a jokey video but i just wanna say: as someone who needs a wheelchair part time, people who do wheelchair pranks are a fucking nightmare and no one takes my disability seriously bcos of them. so fun
its that she just went into the video to film leaving then got out right after and put it in the boot....like Jesus people don't even listen to the video

One Dobre brother: "What is CZcams?"
Other Dobre brother: "It's your passion."
Um...you're supposed to jog his memory, not just straight up lie to him
Who knows, maybe it is his passion and it's just his face that's in a state of permanent mild disinterest.
😂😂😂
hehehe got em good
@Boo Babylon nobody cares it's still December 32 so stop spamming :)
@Boo Babylon it’s worse than my personality 💖
2022 and there's still no "up" in sight
There is such an insensitive overtone for buying a wheelchair as a joke in a country where people can't afford to buy painkillers
“I FAKED my DEATH?😱 **my boyfriend got arrested**”
And the video is just the movie Gone Girl in full
I can just see a math teacher going: "Well? Did you fake your death or not? Are you asking me or *telling* me?"
Jaystation is that you???
I ACTUALLY DIED? FUNNY PRANK (Gone wrong) MY BOYFRIEND GOT ARRESTED?
Do you have two pp's for real bro
can ppl stop using memory loss, disability, and traumas as clickbait? as someone who experiences (some) day to day memory loss (not to the extent that these pranks show, but still memory loss), i find it really ironic how people will bully someone for being disabled then turn around and do this kind of ableist bullshit for millions of views, while actual disabled people trying to talk ab their experiences get silenced.
agreed
Agree
I totally agree. My sister has memory lost episodes causes by a lot of health problems and to see people play like that is so hurtful.
I feel this. I had a reaction to a virus that meant I temporarily needed a wheelchair and it gave me so much respect for how hard it must be when its not temporary. Watching someone buy a wheelchair and film themselves posing in it like its a fun accessory is annoying. Its not a toy.
@Jeff Bridger You want them to deal with the fact that someone is profiting off of something they suffer through almost everyday??
"Tomorrow is January 1st 2022"
10:28 NOOO NOT LITTLE CAR
I really can't stomach how these "youtube families" make each other feel like crap for showing concern towards their loved ones.
It's all acted, you think they honestly believe this stuff while being filmed at the perfect angle for their reactions?

Man going into 2022, seeing how happy drew was for it to be 2021 makes me sad. Little did he know.
No joke: I thought the title said "Let's Leave Pants in 2020" and it took me 9 minutes to realize this video was never going to start talking about pants.
Oof
you know, I wouldn't mind leaving pants in 2020, but maybe that's cause I'm in a tropical country where it's warm all year round lmao

It's a true injustice that this comment has 505 likes and the reply showing that pants were mentioned within 9 minutes and therefore this person is a *ROTTEN LIAR* only has a small percentage of that. Discusteng.

Hey Drew, love your stuff, couldn't finish watching this video. Not because of you, you're golden. I think you get it.
Here ab 2½ months into 2022 and sigh, maybe it'll get better some day mah boa 💯🤞🏾 better days soon twinnem
My grandma died of Alzheimer's and forgot who my mom was, called the cops and thought my sister was my mom (they look almost identical). This kind of prank is psychotic.
...
@Alice It’s figurative speech not to be taken literally. No ill will in it. I’m more worried about their grandma.
Edit: It's terrible that Alice is getting this much hate. I was just sharing my objective opinion. No need for uncivil comments. There was no negative intent in their comment. Quite the opposite actually.
@Alice your comment is psychotic
You’re such a sensitive kid. People have used that expression for ages, and they’re not gonna stop because you’re offended. 😓
My grandma also died of Alzheimer’s, it happened like 6 years ago but she forgot everyone in my family and before she died she said she hated all of us and that she just wanted to go home to her children, to my mom and my aunt. Such a horrible disease and I’m sorry that you went through it as well and seemingly had a worse experience than me. These videos make me so angry as well because they’ll never understand what it’s really like
I’m so upset about how young these kids are making this shit.

As a person in a wheelchair, I'm almost numb to the pain of people using it as a symbol of weakness, ailment, and helplessness. We're real people and we have lives outside of our disabilities.
They're not using it as a sign of weakness or helplessness, they're committing to the prank of being injured by... getting a wheelchair like people who've been injured and need to recover or rest do. I don't see what's problematic.
@@nile7999 I think the real problematic thing is using ailments for views in general and how "prank channels" profit off of these things that gullible kids watch
I do think you’re right, but aren’t wheelchairs intended to be for ailments of sorts?
@Amirah Garces look don't get me wrong, i agree with you and content like this is obviously insensitive and nasty, but they're not faking a disability are they? like, i've been pushed around in a wheelchair for a couple of days when my knee was fucked up despite not having a (physical) disability, so while it's dumb to fake something like this surely it's realistic for a temporary injury.
Was shocked and offended over the skit, but I don't count. What do people relying on wheelchairs feel about "performances" like that?
Can we give Drew some credit here, placing sponsorship ads at the end. I could be totally wrong but he’s probably taking in less for this nice gesture. 🙏
What ad? All he did was brag about being a rich CFO.
You know what? You're right. Imma watch it all.
Update: It's freaking hilarious, especially the countdown. Don't skip it
I never skip his ad reads they’re always so funny
i highly doubt he's getting paid less for placing it at the end. his sponsor probably tells him where they want it, and he probably only accepts the ones that want it at the end
