There are so many hindi/urdu words that could have rhymed with Kesariya so why did Amitabh Bhattacharya choose "Love Storiyaan"? If this question crossed your mind after listening to the much anticipated Kesariya song from Brahmastra, I have an answer for you. This has happened because of a recent trend in the music industry wherein songs are being composed to go viral on Instagram Reels. Critics call this phenomenon as Tiktokification ( Of course in absence of Tik Tok in India, it's happening on its closest adversary, Reels) In this video, we discuss how Instagram Reels is changing the face of Indian music.

Indian music has lost its melody as the new composers refuse to use indian instruments. I miss the old indian laxmikant pyarelal and shiv-hari that had so much use of indian instruments creating enchanting melodies. Modern musicians are worst lot that india have had. Hi Mohak bro being myself a Music Composer / Producer, I have noticed that everyone in the Industry today wants a hook line (The TIK TOK Line) regardless of the emotion / the lyrics / the detailed production throughout the song or the singer. Even melody song are forced to have heavy layered beats & a hook line or a drop. This sometimes makes us compromise on the lyrics / singing or the variations in the song , the pressure on artists like us who want to be true to the Emotion or the Art Form makes us compromise the Art in order to get the marketing done right. Record Labels who were open to Independent artists have now become very narrow minded and don't really want a song where the audience listens to the song fully in order to get viewership. It has become very difficult for artists like myself to come up without compromising on the Emotion or Music as an Art. I do agree Commercial songs have to have a hook line or a drop as they are meant for enjoying and dancing, but forcing songs with true emotions to fit into this formula makes it very frustrating to survive in the industry. Anyways Thanks a lot bro for taking up this issue and talking about it. Love Your Videos, Keep Going Ahead 👍👍.

how has tiktok destroyed careers?? because of tiktok so many small businesses can get a wider audience which could never have been done a few years ago, because of this so many people can earn money. The same goes for music producers just like the Jhoom song which got popular thanks to tiktok and the singer finally got the appreciation he deserved. Stop seeing the negative in everything good songs r always gonna be appreciated coz u r speaking as if all songs suck now, but thanks to tiktok many small creators and singers r getting an opportunity for many ppl to see their content which they wouldn't have gotten otherwise, in the end if it's helping a lot of people make a living so what is wrong in that.

I also feel like it's because of quality composers either being driven out of the industry like Shankaar-Ehsan-Loy or being forced to make 'trendy' songs like those new songs from Vishal-Shekaar. Even if they get someone like Arijit Singh to sing the song how good can it really be if it isn't well produced? These composers were the backbone of Bollywood music, and Bollywood let them down.

The issue is not centered around whether present trends are good or bad, whether the music or the platforms being used are in sync, it is about the decremental effects of these trends on a larger scale. The diversity and originality of various art forms has visibly fallen and none can contend. But the patrons can only exist for so long if the artists themselves call quits on their own art. Take classical music for example, not only has there been a decrease in popularity but also several artists preemptively choose the art form that is more topical. This also has visible maleffects on those who are equipped to preserve but are rather being discouraged to do so.
Current trends also portray the mental state of our population. The increased demand for instant gratification manifests itself in various ways. In music it has occurred in the form of reel-able music pieces that, as the video mentioned, skip over antra or mukhda to the lyrics or the beats. This has many reasons including a tight schedule but mostly, given the kind of demographic that prefers such kinds of music, is indicative of a less patient generation an therefore you can predict the posterity.
I personally do find such kinds of half-baked "melodies" distasteful as a person of culture, and therefore finding not much development in the kind of music I prefer as opposed to the popular rock-metal centered tunes (which are scientifically proven to be non-conducive for productivity and mental peace however we think) quite banal. It is right you can't dance or head bash on a sitar but I sure wish some original and novel creations were being put out which would not only cater to us but possibly drive the trend as well.
Along those lines I feel Bandish Bandits did some really good work. And so does Anoushka Shankar. The sheer difference in the examples is what agonises me. The present is ironically not the evergreen music millenials make them out to be, at least till they continue to simply remix the true ones. In this digital era, I think we can do better by promoting creativity than merely calling "stylish talking" art.

Sir yeh wohi reels dekhte hain jinko gaane dil se nahi pairon ko thirakne ka bahana chahiye. Aur jinke pass patience nahi hote.
2003 se contemporary season suru hua jo 2008 ke baad completely exist kar gaya, aur jahan se Alka Yagnik ji, Anuradha Paudwal,Sadhana Sargam, Kavita Krishnamurthy,Mahalaxmi Iyer, Preeti Uttam Singh, Sushma Srestha,Hema Sardesai,Kumar Sanu, Udit Narayan, Sonu Nigam, Abhijeet Bhattacharya,Babul Supriyo, Shaan Aur inke saath saath deep lyrics, soulful evergreen voice, music, saare cheeze remove ho gayi. Sir aaj bhi South mein K. S Chitra Maam ke melody voice aate hain movie ke andar, Par hamare yahan ek se ek best young hone ke baad bhi budhe kar diye, Asha Bhosle ji, Lata Manheshkar Ji ko zyada age the par inke voice young the aur 90s ke daur evergreen the iss wajah se inhe hamesha gaane mile par aaj Alka Maam ko dekhiye jo aaj bhi digital dolby hai, sonu nigam ji bhi pure young voice hain, sanu da bhi aaj bhi fresh hain par inko budhe bana diye hai jaan bujhkar, yeh aaj bhi bina music ke melody song gaa sakte hain aur
Woh bhi recorded song ki tarah aur woh bhi bina auto tune ke, pehle gaane 5 to 7 minutes ke hote the jisse sunne ke baad kisi aur wadiyon mein kho jaya karta tha
Aur mind refresh ho jaata tha,
Note- pehle album ke andar 6 se 7 gaane hote the jo non-film hua karte the par abka album mein sirf ek gaane hote hain aur usiki promote karne mein lage rehte hain aur iske saath saath gaane 3:30 minute mein khatm ho jaata hain aur ab toh reels wale type gaane 1minute mein khatm ho jaata hain.
Ab nahi evergreen voice hai jisko hum pehle cinematic aur soulful melody voice bola karte the
    Aur nahi deep lyrics hain
Aur nahi background singer hain jo lead singer ke saath apni voice dete the
Aur nahi deep music background hain
    Bas ab time pass hain
Par sabhi log time pass wale nahi hai jinko music ki samajh hain woh aaj bhi
90s aur retro song ko sunte hain
Maine childhood mein sirf 90s sune the par ab 1940 se lekar 2008 tak evergreen gaane sunta hoon
Ab koi kahe ki Aaj ka lyricist best hain toh
Phir Sahir Ludhiyanvi, Raja Mehdi Ali Khan, Majrooh Sultanpuri, Aanand Bakshi, Gulzar, Sameer Anjaan, Javed Akhtar Jaise umda lyricist ka hona galat hain
Ab koi kahe Tanishq Bagchi best hain
Toh Phir 60s to 70s best Romantic Music Director- Madan Mohan Sahab ka hona Galat hain aur inke tarah music director
    O. P Nayyar, Hemant Kumar,S.D Burman, R. D Burman, Shankar Jaikisan,Laxmikant Pyaare Lal, Kalyan ji Aanand Ji aur Classical Ke Great Music Director- Naushaad Ali Sahab inn sabhi ka hona galat hain aur 90s ke daur Ke
Nadeem Shravan, Anu Malik, Jatin Lalit, Aadesh Shrivastava, Nikhil Vinay, Aanand Milind, A.R Rahman, inn sabka hona galat hain. 2000 ke best Music Director Sandesh Sandilya jinka music Suraj hua Madham,Kaahe saataye re piya, Shankar Ehsaan Loy ka kal ho na ho, Kabhi alvida na kehna, aur Salim Sulaiman ka Rab ne banadi jodi ,aur Ismail Darbar ka Mehbooba Movie ka all song aur Aanand Raaj Aanand ka Humko Tumse Pyaar Hain yeh sab bhi galat hain bas sahi toh aaj ke hi gaane hain na
Baaki toh yeh saare Great log yahan time paas karne aaye the na
Itna Hi Nahi Jeet Ganguly, Ajay Atul itne polite musician inka bhi hona galat hain
Bas sahi toh aaj ke scenario wale singer aur music director aur lyricist hain
Par jo jameen se jude hain aur jinko sikhne ki chaah hain woh aaj bhi puraane gaane ko hi sunenge
Sorry agar kisi ko bura laga ho toh

That Quickstyle clip! It's pure love!💕💕
Very informative video btw bhaiya.👍👍Sadly it's the reality of our generation now. We all run behind short term comfort by watching those reels and all but forget that there is a future ahead of us which needs us to shape it well for the betterment of ourselves and our society.
I yearn for those actually heart touching songs but all I get to hear is beat drops and not-so-meaningful lyrics, at least for most of the songs in Bollywood now.

We don't have a music industry. That's one reason for the diminishing quality of Indian music. It's all Bollywood.. there aren't albums by artists.. even if there are ..they don't get the recognition..there has to be a music industry as recognised as Bollywood for music to be of quality..otherwise we'll only get shit like this..

soo relatable. as someone who loves listening to bollywood music, it's really hard to find a song that is consistently good throughout and not just at the chorus, and because of that I often have to settle for songs that are not as great. I would say Arjit Singh, Pritam, AR Rahman and Atif Aslam are the best ones left out there.

11:22 total BS definitely they won't stop immediately consuming the long content but with time when a person's ability to develop ADHD increases when his attention span reduces will be when such people who themselves benefited once will make 10 sec song then I would love to hear what will they offer in 5-10 sec. We have come quite far from magazines and novel to Tiktoks in a very scary span of just 30 years is a very concerning form of consuming content.

Can't agree more on your opinions
But, the end statement is kinda been tried to keep unpolarized here's why:
The music in fact can be compared imo. The new era of music regardless of its country of origin targets just the dopamine rush for that matter consider the T20 format of cricket, and always easy dopamine rush create lazy tendencies of mind and easy profit for companies. So this leads to profit oriented products which mostly don't give a fcuk about the overall impact of their songs if it slaps its
an overall a W. Speaking of old songs more focus was made on the real art of developing songs the overall message they convey not all but most of em. which inturn don't create dopamine addicts, well if we look psychologically verious researches have been made comparing old music and the new ones and yes, you guessed it !
Anyways it's just my opinion. Love your content bro

People should really hear some of the classic songs. Then they will understand the real feeling of the song.
Build up is essential for the song to actually kick in. House of memories was a hit and i find the song pretty good through out. Right now my fav is "dark is the night " which actually gives u the feeling that the singer is sitting in an isolated place humming while remembering all sorts things yet calm while singing. Though the song is pretty sad while listening I felt empty instead of sad. But u can feel his longings.
If u cut the song u won't get the viral 12 sec part but the song as whole gives u a calm empty feeling.
Which I think is the real victory of the song writer. To keep the audience stuck in the till the end and not the punch. Most movies r like that too.
