I picked up a girl at the Scottsdale hospital last week. She had a cast over her arm. I asked her what happened and she had a broken collar bone. She was in a Waymo and the car slammed it's brakes for no reason at all.

We have a drive by the name of Duato that I even did a video on. Uber insurance and Progressive both denied his claim while he was on the app transporting a passenger. He's in a wheelchair forever now.
Nobody believed his story until I ran it with the docs. Trust me, there's thing going on in rideshare that you wouldn't believe, but I believe it because I've seen worse.

Who is guiding those cars on the streets... somebody sitting at home drinking alcohol and so above the law that they can't be charged with a D.U.I. and it's passengers can't sue the company's virtual driver or a.i. system because the passenger can't smell the alcohol and the virtual driver can't be arrested?
Nope. Not getting in one. Too much liability for those cars. Passengers will be tied up in courts for years with no real justice if those cars fail for any reason, causing more havoc on the roadways. Those cars don't even recognize directions from a traffic officer in the flesh. Those cars need to be on a track. Like Trolleys."

My biggest headache driving Lyft is the damn road conditions, in Baltimore, those roads have pot holes every 3 feet and the main roads in and out of the city are like 3rd world. Its ridiculous these politicians spend no money on infustructure

We used to do short rides with surge. Now, there's a ton of short rides....but no surge. Waymo does all the short rides so the apps stop putting surge out to entice us to take them. Now we're getting nature hikes for $0.66/mile. We convert them all to cash because we're not doing that. We used to do short rides for $2/mile or better, now all the short rides are like $0.79/mile with NO PAYMENT FOR TIME.
Each mile is about 4mins, so if we got $0.25/min, we'd be getting an extra dollar per mile on top of that $0.79/mile for distance. That's why surges used to work: we would get a $3 surge, which is technically 3 miles of payment for TIME. Anything under 3 miles now pays at least $6...$2+/mile ALL DAY with short rides.
Waymo killed that, brotha. We are now back to $3 for short trips paying less than $1/mile.

It did not come up, but if they are the closest vehicle, Uber will prompt the rider if they would like to have a Waymo. They are partnering with them, just like they are partnering with Taxis in major cities. You will be replaced. You better make sure you have your personal segment of the market sliced out.

...and that's the direction they're leaning into. The California initiative is trying to remove ALL GAS CARS from the market, so that "everyone' is happening quicker than you think. Do you really think EVERYONE is gonna give up their gas car - the loans associated with them - just to go buy an expensive EV to make the government happy? Nope. There will be a ban on cars and the only cars people will have access to is something already on the streets: driverless EVs because gas cars won't be allowed, even if private owners wanna drive them.

Um that's not true about waymo they don't use Google maps lol. Like ok y'all can hate waymo but they get their directions from mapping the street not google maps. If it used Google maps they would drive everywhere or try to. The engineers go around and Map all the roads, signs etc then the testing comes, then they roll it out. So the car gets it's directions from the engineers that go there and use high definition mapping. It's why Tesla people say waymo is worse then Tesla because waymo wil only drive with hi definition maps while Tesla only uses Google maps and camera's. Waymo uses lidar, camera's, radar, audio and a high definition map to drive. Without that premapping waymo can't drive

And the moment a grid goes out, these cars are done. When a network drops, these cars are done. The reliability of these cars are based on if everything involved goes right, and we already see banks being hacked...casinos being hacked...gasoline refineries being hacked...mobile phone networks being hacked. Only a matter of time when a car network is hacked while people are in the cars and they're all made to instantly stop, just like when the casinos were all instantly taken offline and money was demanded for the codes to get back online.
Yup and also, Private hire is the next move and tbh i kind of like it because more and more people are noticing that a private hire or for hire drivers are more reliable and worth the money.

You can’t boycott AI/Technology it’s all around us. This is something that will be adaptive in the next decade. Driverless rideshare is 10 years away but time flies... I watched the China EV ride share and it took a lady 4 hours to get a car and get 45 miles away. Our biggest thing to help us is cold weather places, EV ride share wont work in winter, they die fast. But you are honest and its def coming within a decade.

I turn all of my driving assistance stuff off in my BMW. When there's construction and there are multiple lines in the road (like on the 143 they're building out), a car can smack another car if it's relying on lanes and lines. There are none, so you gotta know what you're doing and where you are for it to work. I've never seen a Waymo on 143 for that reason.

Everyone with a car will wreck it, somehow. So, even people with a license and a car TODAY will need you one day. Always stay in their good graces. People with cars do have repairs they have to deal with, as well. My point: all of what you said is true, but it's nothing outside of normal to really focus on. I guarantee about 75% of the people we're driving around have a car in the garage and they don't wanna be bothered with driving...especially in Arizona where you MIGHT have a drink or MIGHT smoke some legal weed. Why risk killing someone on your way home when you can just take a $25 ride?
There will always be the need for rides, just like people will always have their own cars and own licenses. That's not really a problem. People will always travel for business or for pleasure, and that's where logistics comes into play.
