All that glamour for $3,99 rides
I drive a 2019 Pacifica...so, it's an XL. I only do XL rides with 90% being around Disneyland. Rides fluctuate from $4.92 - $10...but I always assume I'll get a $5.00 tip. So, $10-15 for 3 miles total in 10-15 minutes is not bad!
Day riders want to get to work.. night riders want to get home or get to the bar. They don't need all that crap. They are obsessed with their phones. They don't need a TV in the car. They watch whatever they want on their phone

Agreed, however, I only have small bottles of water. I put a small set-up at the back of the front passenger seat. It works well for ppl I pick up who are sweltering in the hot Boston heat. Other than that, I don't need ppl snacking and making a mess in the car.
Not necessarily true. So in my market i have a Octopus Tablet and i mean yes some of my passengers do get on there phone but not all of them. In my market about 70% off them actually play on the Tablet where about 30% would be on there phones. I mean to be honest i have picked up several people in my market where they were shocked that i even had the Octopus Tablet. I then ask those customers have u never had a Uber that had the Tablet and there exact words were never and that i was the first. I mean u would be shocked in what your TIPS would look like if u have stuff for customers.
20:49 is my car. I only spent $50 total for the karaoke mics, door sill lights, the ceiling lights, and under seat lights and has easily paid for itself many times over. I like to unplug them before a bar pickup, when we are leaving I say something like "Oh you guys are ::name of bar:: partiers! We need to get some party lights on for you." I learned this from an Uber I took in Las Vegas while on vacation. It makes people feel special, and if people feel good there is a better chance of them tipping.

Very true. I just have waters and so far only two ppl who took them didn't tip and they had high rating, so now I unmatch if I'm on Lyft and give 1 star if on Uber because I can change the rating later.

I do something similar as far as waters and candy and I roughly get about 60% tips which is around 1/5th of my rides income and I'm consistently around 1500 a week in a medium market
It's illegal to obstruct your vision in #2
I wouldn't ride in #3, I would get a different driver.
I get 5 🌟 always, I offer a clean car, and I'm friendly.
#3 looks like the Pacifica. I drive a 2021 white exterior. I call it the wonder bread loaf truck.

Same! Disney makes sense because he's picking up tons of kids and parents. In my (Boston), clean car and what a rider described my AC as is "Strong AC* - he said, "Thank you for the strong AC" I think some drivers have no AC on or low AC and my AC is blasting due to the 95 degree weather. I also have water only and it has upped my tips due to the high heat
Its what ever motivates us to drive! Make it happen depending on which market your in. Make datmoney! 😂😂
I only offer sanitizer due to ppl coming in and out of the car and small bottles of water. My tips have increased, but that means not accepting 4.9 or below
Hi, I'm AJ...the owner of the 3rd car featured (a huge "THANK YOU" to Chris and Sergio). My stats...5.0 rating on both Uber and Lyft with 15,000+ ride. I do things that most drivers don't do...I give my riders a memorable experience/ride! I don't complain about the fares, I find ways to almost compel riders to tip WITHOUT asking for one. My largest tip? $1100 on a 10 minute ride. I've had several hundred rides with $100 tips. Most of my tips are $5-$20. On any given day I'll receive multiple $20 tips! My rides are memorable. My rides are talked about during conventions. I work around Disneyland about 90% of the time but I also do private rides. I do well with tips in LA, Ventura, San Diego and Riverside counties because most riders hv never seen anything like my car post Covid! I didn't "trick-out" my car for tips...I did it to put a smile on kids' faces...the tips are just a side-effect. A 75-90% tip-rate side effect, that is. Also, I've never had one rider ask me to turn off my lights...not one! I'm also a conversationalist....so I have had 1000's of great conversations! The motto for Apple Inc is "think different"...I do! Everyone please be safe out there.

If Prop 22 is not repealed by Supreme Court, similar prop will be in California.

Makes sense due to inflation and many ppl, but the only one I understand is the first one, Disney. He knows his market and he's read the room. In my market that doesn't make sense for me, but I do offer only water because these past weeks in Boston has been high heat advisory warnings. I only small bottles of water and it has upped my tips, and those that it didn't in which someone grabbed a water gets 1 starred

I'm not putting anything in my back seat for the riders, 1st: I already had 1 tablet stolen and one Octopus table damage without getting a replacement. 2nd : 90% of riders here in Cincinnati Ohio are Colored and in general they don't tip so why would I go the extra mile...I been driving fulltime for 5 year and I tried the first 2 year to do anything to pleas the riders but colored riders just wont tip period and they don't respect your car and the stuff inside it

We don't use the word 'colored,' get with the times. But I agree with you and that's why I avoid those areas. But it seems you drive in an Urban area, which is oftentimes lower income and don't have extra money to spend. I drive to the wealthy neighborhoods (yes, 30mins out of my way) and it helps avoid lower tipping customers. Unfortunately due to Uber taking a bigger cut, we oftentimes are driving ppl who don't have cars, unless it's bringing to or from the bar

The fact that you use the Word Colored to describe African-Americans is not only disrespectful its down right RACIST....I've been Rideshare Driver for over 9 years I over 10.000 rides under my belt I've pick up every single person you can imagine. At the end of day treat people like you want to be treated .
@@onelove396able How is the tipping breakdown by race? Are there any races that are more pleasant to Uber for than others? Also, and this matters, what race would most people think that you are?
You do all this and wait at airport 1 hour to get ride and you will have 12 minutes rides with 10 parking lot to passengers terminal 😂
