Hey there- thanks so much for this video and the file, super helpful. I was super intimidated by midi commands until I watched your video! Question for you- I have the Midi baby 3 and loaded the preset, though when I fast press left and right from any prest, it first brings me back to Preset number 1 before scrolling up and down. Any idea why? Thanks!!
Just got mine as well. Would you send me the sysex. I'm try to use left and right to change presets up and down and use center to tap tempo and access tuner and looper. But having trouble using the editor to set it up probably. Thanks David
@@JoelGilardini Thanks Man. Super Cool. You don't have another Sysex with up down left and right with middle tap and tuner do you? I have left and right setup, but cannot figure out the tuner / tap. Again THANKS!
I have a question, since I also have this brilliant unit the HX Stomp is, and such a compact midi controller looks very handy to unlock the HX features: can you programm it to have difference scenes/page so that you have "scenarios" to control the looper, or swithc presets, tap tempo/tuner, etc..?
Not that I'm aware of. I've created two different versions of controls for my use... one that gives you all the features you see in this video (preset changes, tap tempo, mode toggle, FS4/5, tuner) and another that handles looper controls. If you want to change modes and whatnot, check out a DMC controller. I believe even something like the DMC Micro could give you preset control, looper control and allow 3 custom commands in the UTIL mode.
If you had the Y midi cable, one side going to the stomp in and the other going to a second midi baby for example would the Y do in/out/thru so both midi baby’s sent midi to the hx?
Hey man, would you be able to program the buttons on the Disaster Area stuff to control parameters within a block? I'm wanting to get a MB3 and use it for a pitch block with the center button bypassing the block and the right/left buttons changing pitch up and down. Would this work?
Yeah, that should be possible. Just assign the commands to switches and then map those switches to the MB3 using CC codes. Or you can learn the Learn function for parameter control. Either way.
To go up (ON PRESS): Program Change Channel 1 Count from 0 up to 127 by 1, update counter 1 and send value. To go down (ON PRESS): Program Change Channel 1 Count from 127 down to 0 by 1, update counter 1 and send value.
Not sure. I mean, MIDI is MIDI, but if you’re trying to use TRS and MIDI for the same thing ... that could present some challenges. If I had a separate 2-button switch, I’d use the MIDI baby for tap/mode/tuner and open up 3 switches on the Stomp.
Daniel Rappa The Jet is slightly smaller and more plug and play, but also more expensive and less customizable. I’d rather have a controller that does exactly what I want/need than one that does everything possible. Trust me on this: having to press more than one button on a pedal this small is a nightmare. Especially in live situations.
thank you very much for midi baby program files.its very useful.

I got the Midi Baby 3 and I was able to program it to fully control the looper! If you want I can share the sysex.

@@crxshdxmmy thank you for your reply. I was also considering a DMC controller, but in the end for my need I've decided to get a Midi Baby3!
can you power or from the USB port on the HX? or are you using a splitter cable?

Any idea if the dmc-4 gen 3 works with the hx stomp?
how did you get it to change parameters on the reverb? I want to change the drive on an amp Model
can it use to send midi to the line 6 and another midi device like a dely?

I just got the midi baby 3. How do you program for preset changes? That’s the main thing I want it to do. :-)
Thanks in advance!

If you have the midi baby set up to run fs 4&5, can you still have an external switch or expression pedal run 4 & 5 at the same time?

Where do I buy this one? its not in the website of disasterarea

Can’t decide between this and the Jet Micro... Suggestions?
