    Thanks for the useful tips! Really looking forward to see how to use a Wave Generator with HX Stomp - to emulate expression pedal with Whammy pedal, a wah, and generating infinite feedback on delay with just the one switch of the MC6. This feature is not documented in release note and can't understand why the minimum value is 5 for example, and so on :/

    Great video! For the change stomp footswitch mode though, wouldn't you want the first one to be release, not press? I find when you have press and long press, it always does press first but if you hold it long enough it will jump to the long press. So if you didn't want the Stomp to jump to the press option first, it should be release? Or have you changed how that works?

    • @MorningstarEngineering
      @MorningstarEngineering  Před 3 lety

      Hi! You are right about the way the actions interact. Usually it would be best to use release instead. However in this case, we are just changing modes. As Long Press will be registered after Press, we will still be able to achieve the desired outcome. Cheers!

    Could you set other pedals to change parameters when you switch presets on the stomp? For example, if I wanted to have a separate reverb pedal change from a spring to hall setting when switching between 2 presets?

    • @MorningstarEngineering
      @MorningstarEngineering  Před 2 lety

      Hi. Yes, you most definitely can. As long as your other pedal is MIDI capable, you can simultaneously send another message to switch it with the same switch. Check out our feature list here: www.morningstarfx.com/features

    I know this is a HX Stomp tutorial, but I was wondering if the 2-way midi communication is possible with the Fractal FM3. I have a MC6 and am curious if I can make it work similarly.

    • @MorningstarEngineering
      @MorningstarEngineering  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi. Yes, FM3 is also able to output MIDI messages. It can send a PC message each time a preset is engaged too. So 2-way communication is also possible. Refer to pg 113 of the FM3 manual: www.fractalaudio.com/downloads/manuals/FM3/FM3-Owners-Manual.pdf

    Question... If you set a button to perform a single tap and double tap... does it slow down the single tap due to processing? Both my FAMC and JET midi controllers have a delay when using multifunction buttons.

    • @MorningstarEngineering
      @MorningstarEngineering  Před 3 lety

      Hi Jeff. Yes there will be a delay as the controller will have to wait to see if a second tap is coming before it sends it executes send. We recommend using 'Release' and Long Press if you would like lower latency multi-action functionality.

    • @MorningstarEngineering
      @MorningstarEngineering  Před 2 lety

      You don't need to enable two way communication to recall HX Stomp presets. Only one way is required - the MC8 to control the HX Stomp. We explained that in the part 1 video here: czcams.com/video/u1Be2wWeTEQ/video.html Hope that helps!

    Is there no way to use two way communication (so the Stomp can control the bank changes on the MC6) and have MIDI Thru on as well? I have a couple of other pedals I want to control with MIDI but can't without turning on Thru, which leads to the infinite loop problem.

    • @MorningstarEngineering
      @MorningstarEngineering  Před 10 měsíci

      If you are using the MC6 PRO you can control the MIDI In and Thru routing options such that messages received from MIDI In are only passed out thru selected MIDI outputs. However, on the non-PRO models, there is no way to do this.

    • @MorningstarEngineering
      @MorningstarEngineering  Před 3 lety

      Hi. We have different actions for you to choose from, and each can send different MIDI messages using a single switch. So while switch A in this video controls the tuner across all banks with long press. Switch A in different banks could can still control different things with different actions such as press or double tap etc. A global settings solution would not allow this.

    • @AlexeyBoyakov
      @AlexeyBoyakov Před 3 lety

      @@MorningstarEngineering I think there are scenarios not that complicated. Much more often people need for example to engage the tuner or list the banks not depending in what bank/preset they are. There should be ways to do that in more raional manner than just copy/paste the commands inside the controller menu.
