Clark Air Base Easter Egg party Saturday Mar 25,1989 movie

It seemed there was always something to celebrate. And for a kid, it was good to have any reason to just have fun. Easter is a solemn time for reflection and for a youngster to learn, as with any holiday. It is an extra-special time to socialize with family and friends, while observing this time of the year.
In this case, I've collected some footage recorded Easter weekend at Clark. It was a cloudy Saturday afternoon, March 25th, 1989. As you can tell, this fun event took place on the lush, tropical grounds of Clark's Chapel (1) One. Just to rub it in a bit, I started this 5-minute piece with a quick shot of the old base hotel, just across the street. That is now Clark's Air Force City base hospital.
Maybe you can join me, in recalling a stop by the Kelly Cafeteria, or Baskin-Robins, for a cone, or cup of the good stuff on a hot day. Previous years, it was the Chicken Coop, across the street from Prudential Bank, next to the Levin Fitness Center (Gym).
I hope you were with the many families that joined us, for the easter egg hunt that special Saturday, in 1989. Or, you might recall some of the folks who walked across my lens view that day--while tape was recording these memories.

We jockeyed our KC-135R between Clark, Osan, and Kadena for three months during the aftermath of KAL-007. Our leaves at Clark, however brief, were some of the most memorable times which took place during my twelve years of service. Thanks for bringing back such great memories!
