+MsBeautifulalicia You go girl, you got this :) You've already lost an incredible amount, you can totally do it! Even if you can only manage to do a little bit at a time, you're still beating everyone who's sitting on their couch doing nothing. But whatever you do, don't give up. You've come too far to give up now, you can do it!
*Also, keep an eye on your B12 because it can bottom out before you know it and suck all of your energy dry. Mine got so low I had to have monthly injections to bring it back to anything even remotely close to normal.

      True. I used to live.
      Now I just simply exist
but it's not a simple existence.
It's difficult, frustrating, depressing, overwhelming and..
      it's time for a change..
      Because I know better.
Life has gotten the best of me but I would rather get the best out of life.

    My two favorite quotes:
“I didn’t want to be fat, but I didn’t fight against it because I knew it would require a change in lifestyle”
“I wish I knew what finally clicked in my brain because then I could tell others how to change their mindset as well”
I am 15 years old, and at my highest weight I was 272 pounds, but on July 26, 2020, I decided to make a change. I downloaded the app called my fitness pal, and I’ve been keeping track of my food. It’s helped me a lot and now I’m in the 250s. I’ve still got a long journey to but it’ll be worth it in the end. Wish me luck.
Update: as of September 27, 2020 i have lost 15 pounds. I have much more to go but I’ve hit a small milestone and I’m proud of it😁 thank you all so much for the support!
Update 2: as of October 18, I just hit about the 20 lb Mark. Thanks again for all of your support.
Update 3: it’s the end of February, and I keep going back and fourth between 236 and 243, for those who have been asking
Update 4: it’s the end of June and I’m now at 225!
Final Update: It’s been two years. I’m at 190 and my life has completely changed. I feel so much better about myself now, I feel like I’ve gotten everything I’ve wanted, people started looking at me more and admiring me more. I never thought I could do this, especially at this point in my life, and if I can do it, I know you can too. I never thought I could, but I proved myself wrong. For those who are struggling, fight the battle, keep pushing, and you will eventually reach the goal, and it will feel amazing. Every single person that has gone through a weight loss journey felt like they couldn’t do it and never succeeded, but they proved everyone and themselves wrong, I know you can do that too.

    • @mariomanningfan
      @mariomanningfan Před 4 lety +4

you can! I have lived my life on the opposite side with hypermetabolism. Incredibly thin and very unhappy with my appearance and seriously lacked confidence. Always unhappy that no matter what shirt size I bought, it would just hang off me and I had to buy the thinnest waste and belts i could find. Sometimes in my thirties, I was still having to look for pants in the youth sections, luckily I'm short too. who could find such a tiny waist and be adult height? Never eating much gave me low energy, that I overcame with too much coffee. but then never had the energy to work out. work and school began to suffer and I all i did was stay in bed or on the couch. People would tease me that I looked terminally ill. Not to make light of what it might feel like socially to be heavy but I believe one thing unique to being too thin is that society doesn't have a problem teasing you about it, especially if you're male. People think being called "scrawny" isn't the same as being called fat. Both are a gut punch. One day about a year ago, I started watching the DPD videos and felt myself reaching the point spiritually that many of you seem to start in. I came to the simple realization through these stories that there is a choice, that my happiness is out there if i just decide to take it. So I started with forcing myself to eat more than just one or two slices of pieces of pizza a day. Diets were planned and well balanced. At first it was pretty hard to make myself eat beyond just small amounts, i just wasn't used to spending time with food. But the more i made myself eat, I started to notice my mood improving and my energy. then came a simple pull up push up routine. at first just a few seconds hanging and one to two push ups on my knees. After awhile the push ups got to 10+ off my knees and the hang turned into an half pull up, then one day all of a sudden, I was doing one. That was the biggest day of this journey I think, watching that bar from from over my head, past my eye level to under my chin. I started at 112 pounds (I'm 5 8). Today my routine is 12-15 L sit pull ups each morning and just before bed. I still can't commit to a gym, one I had to realize that I'm not everyone else and whatever workout I do is what I do and that's OK, putting pressure on yourself to do exactly X workout every day and no less is just not something I think works for everyone. Because it makes you feel like a failure when you do anything less. I also still haven't gotten over the fear of working out around other people. I probably could do it now but the intimidation factor may never go away at this point. But I'm around 155 and I look at myself in the mirror in awe of the handsome fella staring back at me. At 35, I not only feel more energized and confident than ever, I sometimes have a hard time believing this look is possible for me. You. Can.Do.This.To!

Follow a 12 step concept .....we need spiritual strength .....you most likely have an eating disorder and its too much to overcome on your own ......" ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE THROUGH CHRIST WHO STRENGTHENETH ME" !!!
YOU can do it too with the Lord working and walking with you . i hope you see this ---! If you want to do a REALLY helpful thing for yourself .......go online or to your bookstore ......order / buy a small handbook ( paperback Very cheap) called
TWELVE STEPS FOR OVER EATERS .....by > Elisabeth L.

I used to be really fat. I had 390lbs in September last year, and when I saw that number it was way more than I thought it is. I was really mad at myself. It really hit me hard, and I realised I got to do something. Not just sit and wait for problem to resolve itself. It was a life changing decision, because I have probably been on the verge of developing some serious health condition... So at first I got my diet plan created on a website called Dietarize, which was super helpful to me. In the first two months of following my eating plan I lost 45 lbs. And by February of this year another 40, for the total of 85lbs in 5 months... After that I started slowly exercising. First just by walking, and eventually I joined a gym and now I go five days a week, still walking on the weekends. I realised that I am stronger than I ever thought I have been. Never had any confidence, and now I can run, do burpees, do push-ups... I take these small victories!!

Hey Jared. Don’t know if you’ll ever see this given how old the video is but last month I decided to change too. Seeing what you’ve accomplished has inspired me to push through. The days I don’t feel like it, the days I wonder if it’s working, yourself and Dallas get me back. Thank you.

Jared, amazing progress. I see 659 dislikes and cannot help but think, who in their right mind would dislike a video like this...where a man turns his life around. The answer is simple...only a person that has a foul soul. Great work. While I don't know you, I can tell...you are a friend of humanity for sharing your story. Great work, and God bless.

I also wanted to say that everyone has 1 or more addictions in this life, I had smoking ( 15 yrs in June smoke free), that included marijuana, I still got a shopping problem but has gotten so much better, and I find that the junk food is the hardest 1 for me, but this is also getting better a day at a time, thanks to my ACA 12 step group, I am learning the art of "balance" in my recovery, but again food is the hardest cuz ppl got to eat, ppl don't got drink, smoke, etc 🌞🍓🍒🍉🍓🍒🍉🍓🍒🍉
