Imagine a zed and yv666 being chased down. Just fly to the edge of the map, dock the zed on to moralo, fly moralo off the edge of the map. Watch as the pursuing enemy ships break off to avoid flying off the edge of the map and next turn, pop back on and now you're behind them with two ships that couldn't get attacked.
Great review scum are looking very good. Repositioning. ...force user advanced prototype will also be able to reposition with boost and barrel roll then red focus. Grand inquisitor will be a beast to lock down. Excited about the great range of scum support ships, fantastic to mess with your opponent. Guri wow now a true ace and fenn not nurfed.
Hey nick just want to say great videos! They’re getting me through the 4 week old late night feeds. I don’t comment ever but wanted to say this great work
Dead Man's Switch would be cool if you could Action: and put a token on it. Damage goes up when you explode for each token on it. Might even give R5 TK something to do Or.... you could say you MUST put a charge token on it per turn, then it explodes when it reaches X. Plus the extra damage thing.
Iirc they said only bossk has a talent on the yv666 in the ffg reveal video. I'm calling it now, moral eval ability is going to be called beer run. I expect ndru will have a very similar ability but require bullseye arc. Cloaking device says small or medium ship, more firespray love. Slight difference between new dangar and old blast bot, crits don't damage both ships.
I've been holding off on buying the Party Bus for so long, and I have few enough scum ships that I wasn't in a rush to buy the conversion kit... but now I really want Mist Hunter and the YV-666
Moraldo Eval with Hound's Tooth popping up at the oposite side of the board turn#2 and a z-95 ace with a missile (now with barrel roll action) docked and deploying by selecting manouver at initative 4 can be a broken combo if deploying docked ships funtions in the same way as in v1.0.
Loving Moralo's strange K-turn tech, saves all time it usual takes to turn the bus around, Bossk in a Z with a Missle might sting if he retains the 2 for 1 ability, Dengar crew is nice but does it mean no R5 P8 ? A Maul/Ezra/Kanan Ghost might be a thing
Possibly usable with tractor beam? You get to sling your own ships around and re-position them. Barrel your guys out of arcs or boost them into better firing positions or into range for their pilot abilities to trigger. You'd need a ship that can take cannons and astromechs first though... or a tractor turret weapon of sorts
OK!!!! You set up Moralo Eval in the very corner of the board, facing straight ahead. Turn 1: hard turn to fly off the board. Turn 2: appear back on the board but as far up the table as you can. You're now either behind them or in a hard flanking position. This sounds hilarious and I really hope it works! Thoughts?
I disagree with Rebels being a reserves faction I think that would definitely be an imperial thing where they can bring overwhelming force to bear once the enemy is identified and locked down. For instance like in the scenarios of 1.0 where if ties are destroyed you get to bring reinforcements onto the table. or an EPT for aces where if they are shot down you get to bring on a tie fighter from reserves.
Yeah on reflection I think any implementation of the reserves mechanics must be used on a faction to faction basis. The flavor has got to match. It should "easier" for example for the Empire to reinforce, but if the Rebels want to do it it needs to reflect a desperate situation or bold strategy. Food for thought. :)
I forget which ship/pilot they were talking about during the inboxing, but the devs did talk about being able to attack your own ships. they then specifically mention that dead mans switch is still in the game. So your opponent doesn't have total control of when your ship dies. Maybe Scarlet and her pirates could make use of this? She already wants one of them to go ram a ship, why not then have the other pirates shoot him? Not 100% on this, but it will be interesting to see what kind of hijinks ensue.
Yeah both are still in the game, so that combo is still a thing. I'm not convinced (using my first edition point of view) that that combo is really beneficial or consistent enough in a game strategy. But theoretically if the costing is adjusted, then perhaps it could work in some scenarios.
My 1e view has changed somewhat. I'm not worried about meta or what is effective for now. It's all about what is fun! And a kamikaze attack sounds like a blast! Without any point cost and such, nothing is off the table as far as what could work. Gonna have a lot of fun with what if lists for a while.
Good pickup, BUT don't forget, we don't have the upgrade cards properly spoiled yet. Whose to say that he needs to rely on canons to get criticals? Perhaps there will be crew, gunners, or talents that now make that easier to achieve.
Hairy Nick or a cannon that says when making a primary attack Convert a hit to a crit. They could call it something amazing like mangler cannon. Honestly in some ways that's a better way to do cannons as it takes care of the issue they have way less value on primary 3 vs primary 2, and you can do some cannons as straight dice rolls and others as mods to primary. A DESIGN SPACE first explored with linked battery ( yes nick you have to drink a beer ).
Hairy Nick I'm going to say yes as its still only the awing and interceptor that can do both barrel roll and boost. So far linked actions seem to be treated as a action just with another one before it. Really without that they seem like fairly weak upgrades.
Yes, it doesn't specify attacking with a primary weapon. So his ability has been upgraded, assuming it can still take missiles or some other secondary weapon. Seems a fair trade-off for the slight downgrade in initiative.
FYI, the "Don't be fooled, men, she's not a girl, she's a droid" can come off as a riff on transphobic jokes. Probably not your intent, just a heads up as how it came off.
Ofcourse this was not my intent, apologies for any offense taken. Was more saying "that's not just a human serving as Xixor's right hand, that's a super powered killing machine". :)

Guri vs Inquisitor will be so much fun...

Thanks :) and congrats!
Slight buff to the kimogilla...now the bullseye works on reinforce too

Actually, the Y-Wings dial has been massively improved by simply having blue banks. Getting rid of stress on Ys was a nightmare before.
I feel like the fang-fighter should have a sloop

Shenanigans! May have to make a brewing video for Moralo. :)

Yeah, no R5-P8 on Dengar is a bummer. But personally I always liked the dial fixing astros anyway.
I'm convinced that the "TK" in R5-TK stands for "Team Killer". He doesn't really have much of another purpose.

Scyk did get a 5 straight it did not have previously.

Tom Buckemeyer what if you face diagonally into corner and do a forward 1 and overlap both edges? What then FFG, we need a faq already ??
J Bottero the strats. I'm also thinking about in an epic game. You could travel 6 feet of board in one move
Maul allows the ship he's on to equip Dark Side Force upgrades.

The quad jumper has those 1 reverse banks as well. That's the only ship with those right?
Yes looks like it. The Sheathipede now also has reverse, but only the 1 straight.
Is it just me, or does the Quadjumper 1-reverse look like a reverse bank?

R5-TK was what they were talking about. Add the droid to your ship and kill your guys to activate the switch.

Bossk is NOT a functional reprint of his original form. He is now limited to his primary weapon attack. No more mangler cannon shenanigans for me :(
Good pickup, BUT don't forget, we don't have the upgrade cards properly spoiled yet. Whose to say that he needs to rely on canons to get criticals? Perhaps there will be crew, gunners, or talents that now make that easier to achieve.

Linked battery was a great concept. I agree if they wanted to use Manglar in that way I'd be all for it!
When are you doing the rebel conversion reveals?
As soon as I'm able. It's been a pretty hectic few days, aiming to have it uploading within the next 24 hours if all goes well.
So will cards like Engine Upgrade and Expert Handling change the linked red actions to white now too?
Yeah, just from the point of view of balance I would say no.
Hairy Nick I'm going to say yes as its still only the awing and interceptor that can do both barrel roll and boost. So far linked actions seem to be treated as a action just with another one before it. Really without that they seem like fairly weak upgrades.
when is your rebel video coming
Should be getting it uploaded in the next couple of days. Just need to find a spot of free time to make it!
Does Talonbane Cobras ability now work for secondary weapons?
Yes, it doesn't specify attacking with a primary weapon. So his ability has been upgraded, assuming it can still take missiles or some other secondary weapon. Seems a fair trade-off for the slight downgrade in initiative.
Good pickup.
Plus his 3 straight is now blue/green
