    I use these foils for Wind Foiling: with B, I had to go all out at top speed just to come up. With position C, I can relax and foil up at lower speeds with smaller sails. I have a 68, 76 and 84. I use the 84 the most by far.

    This is the best video out there around Position A vs Position B on Slingshot mast mounting positions. I especially love the description of the learning journey Jeff recommends:
    A - all the way back in mount channel
    A - all the way forward in mount channel
    B - all the way back in mount channel

    Love the content! I foil at the north end of Lake Washington with the 76cm. I'm still in "A" all the way back on the track. Looking forward to progressing and trying new things. I'm learning a lot, keep it up guys!

      @HALFLIFEVIDEO  Před 3 lety +2

      Hi Jason! That's super cool that you have the 76cm dialed for you. When you're ready - I'd saying move it forward in the track and eventually switch to B and start that process again. Since you're in the neighborhood - keep in mind that we do lessons if you want to ramp up a bit more quickly.
      Keep on hitting the water -- we'll be through this smoke soon and hopefully get another solid 5-6 weeks. Enjoy! And thanks so much for checking out the video. You'll see some other Lake WA scenes if you follow us on Instagram @halflifet.5
      Be sure to say Hi if you see us out on the water.

    Awesome - great tips - very intuitive now that he went through it. Perfect timing as I’m figuring out the 84 - I’m position B and about 1/3 from back of track

    Just found this video. Thanks so much guys for helping me to understand the effect of moving the wing around. I got my first foil board - the same one you have there - which came with a reasonably small wing. I bought an Infinity 76 and wondered what I should be doing. This morning I was riding the 76 with the mast in A position and that was fine at 14kts. Will push the mast forward tomorrow and check out the difference 😀🏄🏻‍♂️

      @@HALFLIFEVIDEO subscribe - check. Just this morning switched from position A to position B with the mast slid all the way forward in the rack…..It’s like riding a new board. I cannot get my head around the difference, the board simply won’t sink! I loved it and strangely, the younger guys who are way more experienced on wakeboards etc. hated it. I now get how you can stay on the foil by pumping, something I’ve always struggled with. Tomorrow I’ll slide the mast back half way to get the better balance between lift and control. Two more weeks here in Greece to nail it!

    Can’t wait to see the new High Aspect slingshot wings. We made the switch from Slingshot to Axis and haven’t looked back because the axis had more performance that we’re looking for in a foil. Keep up the great content.

      @@HALFLIFEVIDEO We're riding 2 setups. 1020 with 390 rear and 1000 with 460 rear. Both are incredible. 1000 is a better pumper but the 1020 has lift for days and is really turny.

    Awesome video, have the 76 and just doesn't stay in the wave very well always dropping maybe because of design ,need more surface maybe get 84. Made the mistake of riding the armstrong 1850 seems to stay up way better would the 84 be similiar? thanks

      Hi Devin - we sell the Armstrong gear so if you MUST have it, drop us a note at halflifet.5@gmail.com and we'll put together a great deal for you given you're a half-life follower. Thank you for checking out our video.
      How much do you weigh and what type of boat are you riding behind? Are you riding the 76 in slot a or b and how far up the mast track do you have it? I'm assuming you are riding on the second wave but please confirm? Happy to have a call with you. We also do Zoom lessons which are quite effective. Either answer above here or email me. Either way we'll get you sorted and on your way to Foil awesomeness! Tim

    Have the 76 cm front wing with 6m v2 and 120 moon buddy 140lbs I get up about 4 times a session in light wind but looking for more lift was thinking about getting the 99 but just realized I have my mast on slot A will slot B be a total game changer!?

    • @HALFLIFEVIDEO
      @HALFLIFEVIDEO  Před 2 lety +2

      B slot will help you with lift. Try that first. At 140Lb you should NOT need the 99cm.

    Hey Half-Life family. I have a question. I am trying to get in contact with you guys to help me promote/ review my product! I’m a local Bellevue kid who recently started a small business selling jet ski impeller jam removal tools. Also working on a partnership with a company out of Croatia called Oto Trak. Would love to connect to see if we could set something up. Big fan of your channel and would love the support!
