    I learned to Wing Foil with the Slingshot Dialer designed for wind foiling and Ozone WASP 4m and 6 M. I use the same foil in 99,87,76. The 99 has so much lift at low speed! I use the 48 rear with tips down. A little slow in the turns, but I stay UP. I have a new Fanatic Sky wing 5'10" 110L now. Still using the same foils. Nice review. Thank you!

      Sounds like your dialed in and having fun. Check out the light wind wing foil video i posted couple of weeks back. With a 5.4 wing and i99 you can foil in very light winds. Cheers

    I have a 2018 Slingshot Dialer 130 (similar light wind performance). It was very tricky to balance with the fwind1 blue wing, so I upgraded to a black and orange Infinity 84. I'm about 85 kilos, but I need a 7.5 sail to get foiling in winds 5-10. The 99 looks great, but I like how turny my 84 is.

    Hi on the slingshot website they say it is not compatible with Wizard boards since it doesn’t have a foil track the lift is too far back. Only levitator board is recommended.
    But you have it in B position not even C which would bring the lift forward, but you don’t even seem to need that.
    So I don’t see why they would say that?
    I have a 150 wizard.

      @coreadventuresports2422  Před 4 lety

      Pierre Olivier don’t worry the infinity 99 wing works on all boards that we’ve tested (even non foiling boards) it may take a little experimenting with the mast base and back foot pressure but once dialed in you’ll be delighted with the low end performance

      Core Adventure Sports thanks. I have the slingshot 84 front wing and only the 42 rear wing. Do I absolutely need the 48 rear wing for the 84 or 99 front wing? That is what slingshot recommends. You seem to use the 42 rear without problem.

      @@mrbeginpo Some riders prefer the 48 rear wing for early lift without having to pump too much, but you it feels quite draggy, I prefer the 42 rear wing as it turns much quicker and better top end speed (I just have to pump a bit more to get going).

    Core Adventure Sports I'm trying i99 wing on SS mast and SwitchFuse in position C. With my Tahe 160 board (no sliding foil mast track, just deep Tut box at back) using a Powerplate, I try to get the i99 wing as far forward as possible according to Wyatt Miller's recommendations. With all this, the middle of i99 wing corresponds to a place atop the board that is 30 inches from the middle of the U Joint track. I can move U Joint back in track to get more lift. With all this I still wish I could get earlier flights without having to use sails 7.0 and higher, in winds say 10-12 mph. I weigh 84 kg. Does all this sound ok or does i99 wing need to be further forward? I admit I'm not the best pumper and working on that.

    Great video, thank you! Why not use the 48 stabilizer, wouldn't that be a better balance with the 99?

    • @coreadventuresports2422
      @coreadventuresports2422  Před 4 lety +3

      I did test it with a 48 rear wing but it was back foot pressure overload for me! it also creates a ton of drag. However that's my personal experience, we do have local riders that do use the 48 rear and really like it. The 42 rear is much quicker through the turns as well.

    How do you think the 99 would fare with a 7.2 foil sail *with 2 cams*? Maybe it would get going even earlier than with the 5.8 here?

    • @coreadventuresports2422
      @coreadventuresports2422  Před 3 lety

      Hi Freshwater Windsurfer it depends on which board you are using? The bigger sails are heavier and puts pressure downwards on the board making it sticky (also more drag) I find a nice light and easy to pump sail works better in light winds (does take more of a pumping technique though).

    Great video. Did you get feel for what the top end is for the i99? I've heard its a "slower" wing in terms of pumping speed relative to the i84, but curious if you found it had a slower top end speed vs. the 84 (before it cavitates, etc.)

    • @coreadventuresports2422
      @coreadventuresports2422  Před 4 lety

      Hi Justin, According to my GPS my top speed on the i99 is around 18 mph. Its a bit slower than the i84 but it will foil you through the lightest of wind holes so you can connect with the next puff. I use the i99 in 5-12 knots and the i84 in 10-16 knots you will give up a little speed with the i99 but gain bottom end speed in lulls.

      @@coreadventuresports2422 Wonderful, thank you SO MUCH. My primary use case is wake foiling and pumping so 18 mph is well in excess of the speeds I will be seeing. As a heavier rider (195 lbs, 89kb) even the i84 can lack some low speed lift that I need in variable conditions. Really excited to try the i99 when it comes this week
