This is my ranking for the top 10 force users in the Star Wars films. The list is obviously based strictly on my own opinion and I know that many people may disagree and have very different rankings. This list is subject to change, of course, as time goes on and we learn more about these characters.
I believe that all material in this video is protected under the Fair Use Policy. It is of my opinion that had Anakin remained a Jedi and trained until well into his 50s he would have been the most powerful force user of all time. No competition.

George Lucas himself said Luke was the strongest. That’s it. He has spoken. He created the entire story. It’s over. The full story just hasn’t been told yet.

It's actually cheating. Because of sharing a dyad in the force with Kylo Ren/Ben Solo, she unintentionally got access to his knowledge and experience due to which she was able to pull all that stuff

I put anakin top there’s a difference between power and ability if we’re talking ability in using the force and lightsaber combat then yeh I put sidious yoda and mace above him he was held back in his training on purpose never really taught how to truly harness the light side of the force by the Jedi nor the dark side to keep him in check by palpatine so he never gets anywhere near his full potential in the force. But if we’re talking POWER which is something that is always there the ultimate power of a force user is measured in potential in what you’d can do and can use but might not know how to its why anakin is top of this list had he been fully trained in the force before the loss of his limbs and fully realised he’d have been unstoppable a literall god with the force the highest mediclorean count in history both palpatine and the entire Jedi council feared his potential to use his full power it’s why they held him back so if we’re doing a top 10 force users in general as in what their ability is then ye he doesn’t make top three but if we’re talking top ten POWERFULL force users anakin takes it every day of the week nd that’s lore not just my opinion also I rank Vader nd anakin separate on the list whilst their story is the same they are phsycologically completely different ppl it’s what makes him unique to everyone else is that he not only has dark and light but he literally has bipolar personality disorder where others have dark and light he has literal personalities for both something he struggles with from becoming a padawan also he only truly fully transitions and becomes Vader after he learns of padme and his child’s death nd by then he’s lost his limbs and has to totally refrain himself in the dark side of the force and in a new lightsaber fighting form so that’s just why I’d rank him separate great vid thy o agree with most of it
He's clearly referring to combat power, not degree of force. Otherwise the list would definitely be completely different.

Windu should have been higher. Darth Vader should be waaaaaay higher as his telekinetic powers are just completely fucking absurd and unprecedented, his lightsaber strikes were fast but also insanely strong, and his ability to block blaster bolts was insane.
PS, he also killed palpatine.

Vader could be countered by palpatines lighting (because that’s how he was designed), but Vader was versed in both sides of the force and he had so much power and rage that he probably could have killed palpatine if he really had the “in the moment rage” that was necessary (which is kind of how he does kill palpatine).

When George Lucas was talking about Luke in 2015 he was referring to cannon as he never considered legends cannon

Yes Palpatine should be #1 no contest, and I read somewhere that the battle with Yoda pushed him too far and made him grotesque and weaker hence the way we see him in the galactic empire. But I do believe Skywalker passed him in the years leading up to the last movie. This means that only temporarily was Luke's corporeal form stronger than Palpatine. No one really knows how Luke's force energy will end up and in what capacity compared to the Sith Lord's energy considering since both are non corporeal anymore.
I can see there was effort put into this list, but there's a lot wrong with this list.
1. Obi-Wan isn't more powerful than Count Dooku. Dooku is blatantly shown to be more powerful than Kenobi in Canon.
2. I doubt that Kenobi should even be on this list. He is far dwarfed by other force users who should be on the list.
3. If we're counting Anakin and Vader as one person for the list, then I argue he ought to be the most powerful person here. It's shown that in ROTS, Anakin had reached the level of power of Yoda and Palpatine. After his defeat on Mustafar, Vader's injuries and cybernetics amplified his powers, and he would continue to grow in power, far dwarfing the level of power of beings like Yoda. He arguably would surpass even Palpatine in power, though Palpatine was still very close to Vader in power.
4. Luke only matched and defeated a conflicted and far weaker Vader.
5. Both Luke and Ben Solo/Kylo Ren would far surpass Yoda in power.
At best, the last three should be:
1. Anakin/Vader
2. Luke Skywalker
3. Palpatine
4. Ben Solo

Maybe Ben gives the ultimate fight against the essence of Sidious,in the World Between Worlds.Rey was empowered by the Spirits of all the Jedi and destroyed the physical form of him,but what about his essence since we know that Exegol is a dark side portal,or nexus or something like that? If we knew that, we could rank him higher .
And i talked about Jedi Spirits because Rey in order to reach them,praying "Be with me",has to " travel" far above and beyond and over Exegol. Maybe Force Ghosts were not allowed to be seen on Exegol.That's why she hears only their voices across the stars .

Yes I heard about that ending and I would’ve loved to see that. I liked the scene of Rey on Tatooine, but Ben should have been there. I think the explanation of Palpatine’s survival will come eventually, but it’s just like with every Star Wars movie; All questions are not answered on screen. They could have answered that in the visual dictionary but there will be plenty more opportunities!

If that leak is true and that ending does exist, I really can’t explain why they’d change it nor can I defend that decision. Not having the last Skywalker in the final scene of a movie named after him and his family is a mistake. I just have to believe there is more to the story...

Kylo Ren spent six years under Snoke. Remember, he was 23 when he fell to the dark side and was 29 when he killed Snoke. The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi were both set in 34 ABY. The Last Jedi began where Episode 7 left off. The Rise of Skywalker was set one year later in 35 ABY, making Ben Solo 30 years old at the time of his death.

Tbf you’ve ranked it all incredibly fairly without being biased and turning a blind eye on Rey and Ren. However I think windu is more powerful than Rey and Ren. Only because I’m sure there could have been more demonstrations of his abilities in cannon
I don't necessarily disagree with this list but i reckon if you put Kylo Ren up against Count Dooku, Count Dooku comes out on top. Am i right?
I would like to think that Kylo is one ore two places higher, only because of the pure raw brutality of his force attacks, especially of episode 9, he is almost leaking power.

In the Star Wars everything you need to know book, darth maul is 3rd best at dueling and 9th at power so I think he should be higher
I would of put Count Dooku higher. Obi Wan was ahead of him yet he crushed Obi Wan in battle twice with ease. He also would have beat Rey and DOMINATED Kylo Ren. He also managed to be surprisingly evenly matched up with Yoda.
Well, not really. He wasnt evenly matched with Yoda. Yoda put him on the defensive and he had to use a cheap trick in order to flee. He even said that he doesnt think that he is the strongest force user anymore after facing Yoda. And yea, Obi wan lost to Dooku, but Obi wan was underdeveloped. He developed his abilities more and managed to beat Anakin who crushed Dooku.

so I just started watching clone wars... I know don’t give me hate. I’m a huge star wars fan but I just never got around to watching it until recently. So as I’m sure and i’ve seen videos of rebels/clone wars clips of multiple duels and everything else except the tv show lol my personal opinion would put anakin at the top. My reasons are because he was literally immaculate and conceived by the force, being able to unlock and be at the disposal of the most the force can be, but as we’ve all seen he never truly reached his potential. Back to my clone wars thing, I don’t know how they portray him in the show or rebels, but from what i’ve seen from the movies and my knowledge and things i’ve read anakin could have been the greatest Jedi/sith of all time, but was handicapped by his own life in the sense of his pain, his depression, his regrets, his own path if you will. I believe I read somewhere he could have upgraded his armor several times to where he would be an absolute machine of destruction, but wanted to keep his suit because the pain reminded him and kept him so in touch with the force he was a beast already. But we can’t help but think of what he could’ve been... Those are all what if’s. His ability in combat was so aggressive, so powerful and truly a well rounded, skilled jedi, (before he was vader) but his emotions overruled his ability to truly hone in his greatness. luke was so much like him, but he was an excellent scholar in the Force, an admirable student and an incredible force sensitive, but anakin was different in the sense that he let his emotions best him in almost everything he did, but that’s why he was an incredible Jedi. He was passionate, cared about everything and everyone, but was young and spiritually malleable. Vader I feel is more palpable to his soul, he wanted to be great no matter what path it took, his demise, really. But Vader helped him because he had no limitations other than his own mortal being. His cyborg prosthesis knocked his ability to truly doom everyone in his path, not to say he didn’t absolutely consume anyone and anything in his way, but if he had all limbs and no physical limitations Vader would have been and unstoppable force. his magnitude of Force strength and power in general brought life to ruin. There is no argument for me, anakin/vader is the most powerful force user in my opinion. I respect everyone’s thoughts about this, i’d love to hear what you guys think!

No hate but I completely disagree with everything. For one, if vader was to fight kylo kylo would get destroyed they talk about it in the sequels how kylo will never live up to darth vader. Darth vader has the highest midicolrian count ever. Next, palpatine literally beats kylo and rey together and only when all the jedi help rey he loses. Also how can rey and kylo not be next to eachother when they are obviously equal or rey is stronger because she is a palpatine and has force lightning. Mace windu shouldnt be above yoda yoda is the leader of the jedi council, the oldest and wisest, and has the most knowledge of the force. Yoda would destroy mace in a fight. Dooku is definitely higher than darth maul just because of his force abilities. Dooku was trained by yoda and sidious and has extreme control of the force as well as being a master deulist. He beats obi wan and anakin several times together and maul loses to obi wan by himself multiple times. Palpatine, yoda, vader, luke, mace windu, dooku, obi wan, rey, kylo, maul. That is the right order if we are talking about who would beat who. If we are talking about sheer natural power rey and kylo will be higher. I assume you dont know star wars that well. No hate, but that is my presumption.

Sad what the most recent trilogy did to the cannon. Kylo was never feared because an untrained girl beat him in their first fight. Rey is basically a god.

23.Savage oppress(while he certainly doesn't have much skill, like kylo and rey, his training was very very small and even with that his raw power is very powerful, able to even break darth tyrannus force shield(tho he was distracted) he pushed a large ship off a cliff and preformed a force repulse with out being trained in that ability. while he doesn't have a lot of skill with his lightsaber he has shown grat combat effectiveness including 2v1 kenobi and anakin and defeating a jedi council member)
24.Rey and kylo(theyhave great potential and right now I see there force powers being around mara jades and even satales maybe but their dueling is a different story, so that's why they are placed 24th overall, sorry if I understated them in my opnion)

also besides grand master luke any of these characters could give a decent fight for anyone in this list(besides grand master luke) and it is fully possible that one of these combatants in a lower rank could beat another, anyway love your vids and you have a great reasoning in your list.

I know he hasn't technically been in a film, but has been in video games. Starkiller shouldn't miss anyones top 10 for strongest force users imo.
Star Wars Lab You have great content but I think you should separate Anakin and Darth Vader as two distinct characters. Here's why - Anakin lost to Obi-wan Kenobi making him stronger than the Chosen One. However, Darth Vader was able to kill Obi-Wan Kenobi after trained by Palpatine.
Well, technically Obi wan sacrificed himself to Vader, ultimately winning again in the long run. I could separate them but I feel, ultimately they will rank very similarly to each other. I may do that the next time I rank characters if that’s what people would like to see though. Thanks for the feedback!

This ranking is based on characters who play significant roles in the movies, not TV shows, comics, or Legends material. Their power in the shows can be taken into account if they play an important role in the films.
@@StarWarsLab I can agree on that cause this is a only movie list but the show is canon. And Anakis was weakened on Mustafar because he was conflicted. Dooku was stronger then Obi-Wan and Anakin beat Dooku and lost to Obi-Wan. In the Dooku fight he was fueled by his anger but on mustafar he was conflicted by the dark and lightside. Dooku as a jedi had won in a sparring fight against Mace. Since this is movie only I can agree on the list but if this was all canon, Anakin should be nmr 3 after the father and force priestess. Anakins potential was twice that of Palpatine confirmed by George Lucas.
I understand Anakin’s potential, but the truth is that he never scratched the surface of that power due to his physical limitations that he acquired from his duel with Kenobi on Mustafar, which occurred very early on in his career. Also, I understand the power of the ones and priestesses but as we have acknowledged, they are not being considered relevant for this ranking. Luke was the most powerful of all time....I'm citing the creator and god of all of Star Wars....Lucas himself.....He had the same midi-chlorian count as Anakin, trained with two of the greatest Jedi Masters of all time (aside from himself)....Knew the path to immortality....Greatest swordsman in the history of Star Wars.....had literally only a year of training....mostly self-taught.....Son of the Chosen One...Started his own Upgraded Jedi Order (literally learned the faults and defects of the previous Jedi Order and perfected it)....He had an incredible sense of character in others (2nd behind his sister) and found that his own father, one of the most evil and feared and powerful individuals in galactic history, had a good side......Oh and he literally projected his soul and body thousands of light years away from himself, people don't realize but he JUST reconnected back to the force hours before doing this....He would absolutely have survived and lived on if he hadn't cut himself away from the force....now that's saying something!
