Is it the type of plant that can survive as an indoor plant? Would being potted keep it from growing to full size, or would it outgrow the pot regardless? If the former, would that also stunt the fruit-growing capabilities?

I have a young Brewster. It dropped nearly all of its leaves from the top two third of the tree, there are two leaves left on the top. The bottom third still has leaves. It is still alive on top, because the whole tree flowered, but new leaves did not grow. How do I get it to leaf out?

A few years later but this may help someone out. Litchis require moist soil, but not sitting in stagnant water. Also ensure your soil pH is around 5-5.5. Those 2 factors are quite important. Also try to protect the tree from wind.
      That should solve your issues.

I started a tree from seedling and it is now about 8ft tall and 6ft wide. It's about 8yrs old. How long more did I need ti wait before it starts to fruit? I've heard numerous ways on how to force a tree to flower and fruit. 1-cut a shallow line into the branches and 2-fertilize with 16-16-16 to force it to flower. Which one is true?
