MR GDB over and OUT!
Okay, so I'm actually pretty impressed she made it that far!
The question is where the f was she going
Why?
Think I've bought vehicles off the MOD that have had easier lives than that Focus has
FFS, state of that car, looks like she has been in numerous scrapes before and I'm guessing the fact the car is an auto isn't coincidence, probably all she is allowed to drive on her license 🤣
do you have "one at all, mr Salomon?... shut ya cake'ole, knobhead..was you there. no, neither was i. i speak not of what i do'nt know..
there's not many people who say that manual gears in a car is safer which each gear only giving a certain amount of rpm/mph before you have to changed gear, where as automatic will go from 0 to topspeed without much effort
My youngest son did recovery for quite a while in between tramping but so many of the operators were, shall we say, not the best employers. He now does ambulance maintenance, keeping them on the road for the NHS.
That focus as dents everywhere but funny enough none where they always get dented right below the rear lights just above the bumper 😂
Great vid Greg as always, sat navs! If it doesn't look right....don't go up there! Still it's all money in the bank! Looks like the Focus was no stranger to recovery!! Stay safe Mukka, keep the vids coming.
Only just come across this video. Nice one!
I felt a bit sorry for the young lady, damaging her car like she had.
By the way.. your title says Staffordshire.. wasn’t it Derbyshire? 🤔😀
Struggling to think of why you got called out there! If you carried on past that accident scene you’d end up in Castleton and Hope in good ol’ Sheffield!
hope and castleton is in derbyshire not sheffield
Great job as always, we must not judge or assume, but it may be quicker to list the things that car hasn't hit.
Look's like the expensive Garage on way out of Buxton at the end 😂😂
aye Thomas, been there, got twatted by a local garage. ( Silverdale) in the 80's. they've got you by the "hows ya fathers".. and do'nt they know it.
Almost ended up in a similar position myself over the chase very late at night.
Luckily my passenger just about knew how to drive a car and had been mucking about in their parents truck on a field in the past.
Good clutch control and a good push got me out of that situation.
Yes, I agree, it is beautiful countryside, similar to what we have here in North Yorkshire
The car probably cost more to recover than it’s worth…Good vid tho…
hour and a half by car, so that must be at least 60 miles? 120 round trip. Nice little earner.
The fuel in it cost more than the car was worth.
I live in the middle of Salisbury plain, I spend my life driving tracks like that and regularly see muppet’s that have got themselves stuck.
Great video you would have thought they would have turned around before it was to late or simply carefully reversed back to solid ground
Im watching the vid from whaley🤣 keep up the amazing graft Greg👍
If I ended up with any wheels on soft stuff it would be the rear ones, and I’d check carefully first. If I repeated the trick I did when I was 18 in my Bond Bug (both rear wheels overhanging and 4ft deep ditch at 2AM) I would gather materials from all over, get the Jack out and start getting creative.
In her situation all she needed was the Jack and some rocks borrowed from that wall. Simple.
I just don’t understand what she was thinking… or not as the case may be. That car is testament to her driving abilities 😂
Bro how can you never have heard or Winnats Pass?!?
hi i have had a crazy week picking up about 20 limos so i have a yard with about 100 limos in it take care & stay safe
Does pulling off the wheel not stress the wheel bolts or suspension, buckle the wheel etc?
There must be stronged bits to attach too?
Edit - was worried watching you remove the strap while she still had it in gear. De-sheathing your fingers isn't fun!
Music is too loud in comparison to your voice. You need to get decent editing software so that you can match the music volume to your voice volume level fella. Seems to be a common thing with new channels starting out.
Looks like she was at least 5 miles away from the main B road & from any other road or trackway at least another 3 miles. But, why did she go on it in the first place? Was she trying to take a short cut. Or was it that dreaded Sat Nav causing issues again ( due to not updated or not correct information entered) who really knows why she was up there. Good job she had her phone & had a relatively good idea as to where she was. ( as many females don't more so the young blondes SORRY girls but, it's TRUE!!! ) Once they get lost that's it they never make any mental notes of directions or last building or sign or landmark they past. But, this lady managed to keep a level head & get recovery to her as soon as possible. 😉
The local demolition derby is looking for their car back 🤣🤣
Im a driver for ASDA and that's the sort of lanes we look at and just go "..mmmmm...nah.. not today" LUL
A, what should be, a simple case of, if you don't know where you're going and it ain't tarmac then don't go there.
Very true indeedy! Thanks for the watch!
Oh my word, Greg !
You do some awesome mileage every week!!!!
Your poor wife must give you 'you're bed' as well as your lunchbox!!!🤣🤣
Why couldn't you put it in neutral and tow it out? I realise you said it's auto, but they have a neutral position. Just curious.
Hello hello hello 👋🏻 nice to see ya to see you nice 😂 smashing it mate
Hi, doing a great job. In one of your vlogs you mentioned a list of vehicles that can be towed and the speed they can be towed at. Is it possible you could send me a link please to the list. Thx Mick
WTF has she done to that car. Thought shed only dropped the wheels over an edge,, like its been on a rampage😂
She's paid more to have it pulled out than the cars worth 🤣
Lol at what point do people think!! Hang on! don't think this is a road. We'll done Greg, 👍
Sorry but how did that focus end up like that. At a guess she's tried a 35 point turn instead of reversing.
That hill with ambulance past you is called blue John mine I pass thru it every week lovely in summer
It's actually called Winnats Pass!
Bet the recovery was more than cars worth lol
So she has to own land up the track that she needs access to?
not happy to see those petrol prices still way over the odds. used to go up reglar, in the 80's. loved it, but despised the blatant profiteers fleecing the punters...having said that, i suppose that's what pays for their "residence" in warmer climes. a winter in some of those "dales" would drive any one nuts, surely ?
Didn't know u could off road a focus 😳😳
She went far enough up before trying to turn back
That road is like my road to get to where I live but the road I use is worse. Specially now after winter.
I’m looking for a new 4x4 looking at Nissan nivara and Toyota Hilux. I currently have a 4x4 but want to upgrade to something more powerful. And with a winch.
Navara being phased out in the UK so you'll be hard pressed to get a brand new one now though some dealers still have stock of low mileage nearly new or ex-demo ones. My local Nissan business centre is moving over to the Isuzu D-Max for pickups.
Choice really depends on your use - if it is a farm/estate workhorse then the Hilux is ideal, if you are spending equal or more time on the road then the Navara or Amarok are far better options.
Personally I'm not overly in favour of the 4 pot engines that are on most of the current crop of pickups - a 3+ litre V6 is so much nicer when you need some real grunt - but sadly in the UK a less common and/or expensive option.
Wtf was she doing up there, can she not read the signs? The mind boggles
Smashed up and automatic, says it all...
Following a Sat Nav says alot too!
Only found your channel seems like your doing well keep up the good work. Also... how in the world do you get that far up there...
1.72 a litre of diesel 🤣 Thats Shocking... around my area atm its 1.43 - 1.46 a litre at the pump an I thought that was bad, if only the government would stop taxing the he'll out of it certainly would help lower the costs, they make 57.95p flat rate per litre on petrol & diesel!!! in 2019-20 uk raised 28 billion on fuel duty alone plus all the vat on top that most can't claim back
Storm in a teacup!!!!!
8:12 either a bucking bronco or a kangaroo 😆😆😆
Now that's rather rural.
One careful lady owner 🤪
Does she even have a licence?
could you not put the tow on the front wheel and tow it around so she could drive out something should have told her not to go up there like the sign and you can tow a auto maximum 30 miles and tell her to get her brake lights fixed LOL
If only it was still £1.72 a litre
Hook on to front of O/S lower wishbone, winch out, straight ahead, no need to turn the car then, it's on gravel and grass.
Omg.....
I mean some people just shouldn't be allowed to drive 🤦♂️
👍👏👏
Just goes to show you can't teach common sense. Why not jus reverse in the first place and not do a 3 point turn 🤔 But then reverseing is another matter and they don't really teach that when learning to drive 🤔 🤣
It’s just scrap on wheels.
well not a good recovery guy is he ffs, he should of never of done that......
Haha god she can not drive lol 😆
