  • After a short break, I return to St Mary's loch to continue and complete the Southern Upland Way. On the first day of the expedition I walk approx. 15 miles from St Mary's Loch to Minch Moor passing the village of Traquair.

    Heyup Herm.....💥
You were a true original and sadly missed by us and CZcams is cheapened by your absence and witty Ness 😉 🙏.
Good job to whomever from your family who's managing this gem of a channel 👏. Here's to 100,000 subscribers..💥🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🦬🤘😁

Great stuff but we got a bit confused about Globetrotter.

That's ok, Mr Globetrotter is often confused himself

Nice one Andy, Was down that way last year and the year before, so I might as well try and get back down this year. Is that woodstove heavy? I have a firebox stove, but I wouldn't' take it with me on a long distance as it weighs a ton. Atb Glenn.

It's a wee bit heavy but not too bad, I think it weights around 500g. I don't mind taking it if I'm going to be carrying a plastic bag anyway. It's folds down.

Hello Mr.Hill, is Tibbie Shiels Inn still shut doon?

Yes Stag I'm afraid so, all be converted into part of the house. Even the campsite is now private use only. I think the owners had some trouble with Yobs a while back, from what I was reading on a news article on Google.

Thanks for very quick response Mr Hill. I heard some bam shot their cat so they chucked it Just finished the Cowal Way yesterday, looking at this or Hebridean for my next one in a few weeks.

Jolly good. What did you think of Cowal Way? I did that one two years ago.

I enjoyed it. Did it over four days to save me doing a mental Glendaruel to Lochgoilhead day, Finsihed at Inveruglas and had booked a bus to take me up to Inverarnan to finish at Beinglas with a Madras and chips.
Could do with more pubs on the route. Both Glendaruel and Strachur pubs seem to be long shut down.
