- Me and garry met up for a camp up at our local loch - St Mary’s. Forecast was grim so we stayed safe and stayed low. Cracking night, lots of laughs, great fire on the go too. Both brought @vangotentsandessentials tents too without knowing it.

Closest loch to mine, lends itself to a camp ⛺️. Was nice not taking my bag up a mountain or a hill for a change 😊x

Exactly that. Neither of us had been out for a few weeks and I didn’t finish work till 7 so any long walk in was ruled out so it was one of them pitches saved for that. Wee fire and a few beers. Perfect 👍

So if your ground sheet pokes out the side of your fly sheet it will always catch rain water and track it under your tent .to avoid this .tuck in your ground sheet .and peg it down if possible .

Do you like the orion .I've just found a sh one and I'm tempted. I don't need it but I'm the sucker for a good vango tent .
@@rufusduck71 aye I do actually. It pops up on my channel every so often as it’s that tent I just can’t let go. Always get a good sleep in it. A touch heavy but it’s as close to a 4 season as it gets without it actually being a 4 season
I picked up a banshee 200 just like your mates in the vid .I haven't used that yet but again I couldn't pass it up .the orion looks bigger . But then weighs 600 grm more .could you get 2 people in the orion .that banshee is definitely a 1 man tent .

That’s the sea to summit Etherlight XT, large and wide one. Think it’s R value Is 3.4 but I use it all year round. When I winter camp I add a foil blanket underneath.
Which is the better tent?
Their both virtually identical in terms of materials used and sturdiness. Even height and weight too. I think it comes down to preference wether you want a side door or a tunnel style front door
