This is WHY driving is so fun! May politicians never make this illegal. What an experience! Mahalo for another EPIC video!
Cheers Jim 👍
I’m glad to see that I’m not the only one who pulls faces whilst I’m concentrating lol 😆 At least on my bike I’m hidden in my crash helmet! Great looking roads 👍 I’ve just returned from the Alps, 2500 mls on my 1983 BMW R100RS. The Col de Galibier, Col de La Bonnette, Col de Lombarde, the Stelvio, the Fluela pass and the back up the B500 through the Black Forest…. Absolute heavenly roads! Aren’t we lucky to have these roads available to enjoy! 😊
LOL 😂
Looks like everyone had a great time.Epic scenery very nicely filmed.
My best memory of a fast Ferrari trip into Europe was how to have a P into an empty Evian bottle at speed, whilst keeping the car in front in sight! Satnav’s had not been invented!
😂😂😂
I am sure that a lot of us who watch your channel would love to do this however it is expensive, I looked it up ! I need my lottery number’s to win me the money
That’s why I share my experience so people can see what it’s like 🤷♂️
road driving trips are best enjoyed in manual cars; on freeways you actually don't shift too much; when you get to the proper driving roads, driving a manual car gives you incredible levels of involvement and driving enjoyment; no automatic can dream to offer that.
edit./p.s. too bad there aren't enough manuals left in the world of sports/super cars.
@@eugenuxwhat are you on about, mate. You don't want to shift too much, but you want " involvement"? Yet more proof why manuals are so overrated that many of you lot just say you like manuals because everyone else says so. Automatics are better, shift faster, more efficient and more effective. And yes, I can drive a manual. I just prefer automatics.
Driven those exact roads (and stayed at that hotel) and can attest to how amazing they are
I agree that the top organised tours are incredibly expensive and beyond justification for most of us. You can do this very easily yourself with a few friends for much less money and still have a great time!
Travelled much of that area on two wheels , so much more fun than a powered armchair!
Incredible!! Another video for the travel playlist! Thank you! Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Absolutely mega video, thank you!!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
What a drive, can’t believe how little cars were on some of the roads, not like Scotland where it’s caravan city on some of our wonderful driving road. Very enjoyable watch 👍
It was like that all week 👌👍
Wow ! What a roads and great weather as well. Percect !
Yes, thanks 🙏🏻
Hi Ped
Very much enjoyed the “ride”. Have been a fan of Spain and their roads for many years. Having used the ferry to Santander on a number of occasions to get to south of France, we decided to explore Cantabria and had superb holidays using Paradores (excellent value for money) and found some fantastic roads, most of the time empty🤗. Then decided to explore routes from Cantabria to Catalonia, so impressed did this 4 times. I think our cost would have been cheaper than your organised tour, and of course no tour buddies, but surprising how many times we would meet like minded people in some nice cars doing exactly the same. I would strongly suggest that if you like driving give it a try, you will never regret it.
👍
Some great roads there in a lovely part of Europe. Glad to see you both made the most of it 😁
Thanks! 😃
Beautiful part of the world … and great drone shot! 👏
I’ll take that from a Pro 🙏🏻
Awesome video Ped, beautiful scenery and brilliantly filmed 👌
Thanks 🙏🏻
Ped, your mate looked like he was a sidecar passenger, presume his seat wasn’t that grippy?
Great video and stunning scenery. Enjoyed the footage of all the cars as well
Glad you enjoyed it 👍
Looks great, living dreams!
👍
What a road, what a drive and not a pot hole in sight!!! That road would inspire a brilliant playlist.
So many of the roads out there are like that 👌
Awesome. And with headphones, more awesome.
Glad you enjoyed it 👍
Thanks for taking us along for the ride ped! ❤️ 😎
Any time!
Cool drive. Living the dream there Pedro
What a collection of cars on a cracking road with stunning views. I hope that is what heaven is like.
I hope so too!
What a great lineup of cars, great driving locations
Thank you 👍
What a set of roads! Wonderful. Maybe one day I’ll be able to tour in my Boxster.
And after seeing a reference in one of your videos I insured the car with Lockton - by far the best deal I was quoted - so thank you.
That’s great to hear 👍
What a great trip on great roads. Pro baby’s hood break from the new garage madness. 🤔
You should really consider getting an APR tune. A Stage 1 tune will net you over 400HP at the rear wheels, which equates to about 450HP at the crank versus the stock 365HP at the crank.
Super-happy for you guys. 👍
Enjoy and thanks for posting.
Glad you enjoyed it 👍
Great video of some amazing roads. I could never afford those kinds of sports cars, big applause to the owners for actually driving them and not letting sit in a garage. Road tripping is great fun and it is amazing how the sat nav's help plan a route.
The owner of one of the Pistas bought the car at the beginning of the year with 3000km on the clock and has already done 15,000 road trip km 👏👏👏
@@PetrolPed This is the way! Life is not a practice session.
looks amazing and great fun, maybe one day i will get round to joining you guys on a tour
That would be cool!
Hi Pete nice to see you
You too
Amazing vid PP. Got me all excited about a road trip in Sept that’s in planning. Sorry if you’ve already done this but are you able to share the road trip itinerary .. roads each day and hotel stops?
Sadly not. That is the IP of the tour company. Takes a lot of work to put together a recce. Sorry 😢
@@PetrolPed no worries .. just signed up to their mailing list on the back of your vid 😊
Excellent vid Peter. Exhaust sounded mega BTW. Can't wait until September when it's our turn. 😎
Thanks mate. You will love it 👍
Wow, now that’s a trip I’d love to do.
👍
An charging pints all over the place 😂
Welcome to Catalonia my friend!! 😘
I love it!
The early part of the video reminded me of my days driving company cars around the Highlands and West Coast of Scotland. On the edges of the tyres, which I wasn’t paying for 🤫😉
😂😂😂
In a word Superb.
Donuts
😂😂😂
What are the cables emanating to/from the head unit? AirPlay enablers?
It’s the power cable for the TomTom sat nav. Just tucked them in there to try and keep them tidy 😂
Anyone got a link for that baby blue Gulf top? Great roads and Cars. I’ve done that with 17 MINI’s all pull in at the one time to top up at the garage 😂 But I really need to drive some roads in Europe.
And what was the Cow road at the end it sounded like Torl?

Fun video Ped. A bit depressing in a way, even if I had the spare cash to go on one of these tours, I'd be embarrased to turn up in anything worth less than £40K
😬
I would purposefully show up in something like a 10 year old, 150k miles 140i or a golf, tuned up to the tits and proceed to embarrass most of the guys there, who clearly, don't know how to properly drive and can't look ahead and take a corner at the right angle/position even to save their own lives; all became clear when, in the video, the fastest cars remained at the hotel instead of going to do that loop drive. #enthusiasts vs rich folks with nice toys; there are a lot of enthusiasts that aren't rich enough to afford these dream cars but, there are very little numbers of actual driving enthusiasts within the number of rich folks who own such fast toys.
I don’t think I’d be embarrassed to turn up in something like a GR Yaris to something like this.
Depends on the bunch of people. I did a trip to wales a long time ago with a friend and his bunch of car mates. Tuned S1 elise, S1 Sport160, pretty new Audi R8, Caterham 620R..... and an at-the-time 10 yr old MX5 with some lowering springs and reasonable dampers. His car was probably worth 1/4 of each of the rest but had just as much fun and through quite a lot of the smaller twisty stuff really not that far off the rest. Certainly when being fairly sensible on a public road, and definitely not embarasing.
This is what driving is about
Thanks 🙏🏻
Great roads, great scenery, great video and great fun. I’ve done a lot of European mountain driving but I cannot see the attraction of doing it in a convoy with a load of other cars and people. I’ll enjoy my car in my own time on roads that I can quite easily find and research myself. This is the reason that I don’t like car meets and “coffee runs” - they’re all about status and showing off. I have a few nice cars but don’t feel the need to show them off and therefore don’t really want to be with others preening themselves. Sorry! Still a great video on great roads.
Where can I find the EXACT route that has been driven - any idea?
That is the IP of the drive tour company. That’s what you are paying for 👍
👍👍👍
🙏🏻
Hello Peter! A driving tour to remember! I have looked up the September Tour and thankfully have driven all but two of the Passes planned but a long time ago and in rented Fiestas or Corsa’s BUT even they gave me a real understanding of Alpine driving. These days, Hilary could not stand the hairpins as she is not the best passenger on fast twisting roads and my poor Mercedes has now gone as she could not get in it any more plus my PHEV RR Sport would be left behind everywhere! I will imagine my Lottery win and Miura P400 have arrived and think of you and your friends on that trip! Enjoy another but with Tracey next time…I’m sure she would like a Test Drive in a 911 GTS Cabriolet!!!😎😎😎😎 Richard
Thanks Richard. Tracey was invited 😜😂
Everyone seems to be jumping on the bandwagon now - Yianny, Seen through glass, Podium and more.
When the picture-in-picture appeared at the 3 minute mark, for a second I thought it was the end of the video already! 😅 Would have loved to see more of the hotel/food aspect as well to get an idea of the quality/level.
Question, not counting the before/after, what part of the tour is highway roads?
Hotels were all 4 and 5 star. Food was excellent.
You should see some of the places ( Itchy Boots ) goes to
Hi Peds
Hi 👋
I'm having a beer 😀
Hello mate
Hi 👋
just go alone as no need for an organised tour. I have been doing this sine 1997.
Then you don’t make ‘tour buddies’ 😜😂
@@PetrolPed actually depends what you like. I find the flexibility of travelling alone or maybe with one of the car easier to deal with.
I’ve only ever gone with family maximum three cars other than that just one car and enjoy the freedom that it gives as it could be a bit regimented when one is going in the large group which I experience last year and was not enjoyable
But to his own and whatever we do, let’s enjoy it !
Cool...*clicks on link and looks at price*...ah...nice vid though 👍👍
I know it’s a lot but actually very well priced in the market 👍
What would this cost?
There is a link in the video description to GT Tourz who ran the trip. For two people sharing the 9 night trip including ferry, accommodation and group dinners with wine on all but 2 nights is around £5.5k 👍
@@PetrolPed thats not bad value to be fair
I think you mean, 'driving', tour.
Fantastic edit Pete really shows the tour off thanks for sharing your experience with everyone 🎥👏🏁🏁
Thanks for leading the way mate 👊
First SCC now GT Touz ???
Not sure what you mean ?! I have indeed in on a drive tour with them both 🤷♂️
Cheers guys
1:48 looks a bit wet
It was 😬
😂
I am here today only because of my father's skill to avoid a coach on the wrong side of a public mountain road. Decades later a friend on the wrong side of a mountain road almost ended someone else's holiday. I felt utter shame and will never forget that day even though I was not driving. Hand back your advanced driving gong Mr Ped or dedicate your channel to not showing blatant disregard for safety on public roads. The road is as wide as your lane. Not everyone that watches your videos is a sheeple bro and I expect better otherwise I wouldn't bother to visit this site and comment. And yes, I saw the radios but what about the lead car and regardless you were clearly not driving for the conditions. Think about it.
I am sorry to hear about your experiences. It doesn’t sound like either had radio contact with some that could see the road was clear. I feel I need to respond. The pace is fast for sure. Firstly the lead car sticks to their side of the road unless the road is seen clear and the opposite side of the road is available. This by the way is a technique encouraged by the IAM. If the road is seen clear then smoothing the road out buy using both sides of the road is a technique expected to be used. Indeed in you test you would be marked down if you didn’t.
Each driver however must make the decision based on the information they have. First and most important is what they can see. This is however back up by a radio call if the road ahead is clear. If there is a turning onto the road or vehicles parked in a lay-by this would be part of the call so more caution is taken.
I am a huge advocate of responsible driving and that will continue.
I love driving in Europe, it's such a pleasure without needing to risk delegating safety to someone with a walkie talkie. Does every following driver acknowledge transmissions from the lead or is receipt assumed? Simply irresponsible. Also crossing solid lines is still illegal as any gendarme reviewing your video would tell you. It sets a poor example to others that might follow you.
I agree, we’d liove to do it but not sponsered
Neither was I 🤷♂️
Spanish roads will be a lot better than the English
Actually are there any worse?
The Pyrenese roads are great!!
I've driven the full length of the Pyrenees over two dozen times over the years (yes I'm that old now).
All you need is a good MAP, not a GPS, and the willingness to go off the main roads....
You don't need a super high performance car either, my [slightly tuned (250 whp)] '89 Mitsubishi Starion Turbo was good enough.
My wife and I even did the tour three times in her bog standard Daihatsu (3 cylinder) Turbo Diesel and we both still enjoyed driving those roads (hard & quick)....
Loved the Starion Turbo 👌👍
@@PetrolPed It's a (severely) underrated car....
