So glad you filmed this mate, we can re live that fantastic trip over and over... 🙌
Looks like you guys had a great time.
Thanks Buddy 🙏🏻
Good to see the Sim time with Tim has paid off too mate.
fantastic content of a great race. Joe went daft punk with the shades in honour of being in France 😎
Thanks for letting us live your experience like we were there ourselves.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Bring back memories from 23. The 100 century edition. One week of just adrenaline, not much off sleep, lot off beer, and lots of sun. How was the weather this year😅😅.Pfff can't wait to go back next year. Amazine trip and video Pete
Amazing trip. That lap in the Porsche was fantastic.Looks like you all had a great time. Thanks for taking us along.
Glad you enjoyed it
Was there myself for the first time. Quite an experience. As you said the Cadillac sounded incredible. At Arnage the air fizzled and crackled as it downshifted. One interesting fact that you didn’t mention that the fastest lap in the GT3 class was set by a 18 yr old danish lad who was sharing the driving with his 60 yr old father! Brilliant.
Cool 😎
The Future Is Already Here (But Many Don't Know It Yet)
Dave Takes It On
Very interesting video PP. I first went there in 1962 with friends and then in both 1966 and 1967 with the BRSCC as a pit fire marshal wearing those aluminised fire suits. When we were off shift we lay down on the grass behind the old pits (you could see them in Steve McQueen film). They were great days, what we would have given for today’s luxury.
Great video of an awesome experience, you lucky chap. Nice to see behind the scenes 👍
Thanks 👍
I was there Pedro- Campsite right on the Porsche Curves, Spent the Saturday afternoon / evening in the village. An amazing experience. Loved it. Great helicopter footage. Loved flying in helicopters years ago... And you flew over my campsite.
No way 😮
Well Done PP, well done!!
Brought back many lovely memories of my time in Le Mans.
Watching...and capturing...the 24...in '24! It doesn't get better than that! Salut!
Hi Ped
Only just watched the video. Wow brought back so many memories memories from late 80’s early 90’s, when a group of us went out, camping at the circuit. Heyday for Jaguar Mercedes & Mazda. Enjoyed every minute even when it poured with rain and the tent leaked like a sieve! Moving on then went to Classic Le Mans when I had my Morgan Plus 8. Accommodation greatly improved with hotels.
I was very fortunate to be among a small group of classic car owners to take VIP guests round the circuit on the Saturday. Cars released @ 90 second intervals, no pace car, and go as fast as your passenger wanted! Plus 8 not the fastest car on the Mulsanne straight, 125mph on the clock, but handling on the corners pretty respectable. Able to participate @ three meetings, so completed in total some 15 laps. An experience never to be forgotten and an appreciation of the pro drivers in the 24hr race.
Best experience is driving the Monaco course when not in use!
Wow, thank you so much for sharing, one of my bucket list and now have to do it.
You should!
As Sir Jackie Stewart has said down here "Isn't it exciting". You lucky boy! Cheers from down under.
Sure is!
The helicopter ride looked amazing. I taught on that helicopter and do genuinely miss the thrill of whizzing about at low level. Le Mans is in my bucket list.
Your best video ever. Period.
Wow thanks 🙏🏻
What an epic experience and awesome video. Thank you very much for taking us along on this journey 🙏
Glad you enjoyed it!
I totally agree with you about the Mazda 787B, that 3 bank rotary engine sounds soooo good
Oh yes 🙌
Thanks for that petrol ped that was awesome great video really enjoyed it
No problem 👍
Thanks! Great to follow you on this trip.
👍
Cheers mate
Amazing race !
Indeed 👍
Great job! What a whirlwind it was I'll bet. Thanks for bringing us along!
My pleasure 👍
Memories of 1988! An EPIC weekend, topped by an unforgettable win for Jaguar. Such a wonderful town, a brilliant circuit (even though the Mulsanne straight is no longer straight!). Glad you enjoyed it so much - thank you for posting this behind the scenes footage, it brought back fond memories.
Great insight thanks 👍
My pleasure!
Fantastic video. Thanks! 👍
Glad you liked it!
Great video...couldn't plan it for LeMans race weekend but will be taking my vacay in France in July for some of the Tour for a few weeks.
Envious, to the highest degree!!! You did more in one weekend than I was able to do in 20 visits, including 14 as a marshal and race official.
What a great video, many thanks for filming and editing this, looks a lot of work. The tour of the Penske garage was my favorite part, Roger Penske is a motor sports icon. Would be interesting to see a helicopter video when it is not the race weekend, looks like it is still a busy area. Being a Toyota GR Corolla owner, I wanted Gazoo to win, but was not to be, but great that they were so competitive.
Glad you enjoyed it 👍
That 1991 Mazda really did sound absolutely bonkers, I can’t remember where I heard it run, but I’d do my conkers to hear it run again in anger.
Shame you didn’t have space to take the bianchi, you could have done a hot lap o; that on the Friday!
That would have been cool 👍
Great vid. Been loads of times and your video does a great job of demonstrating the weekend experience! Next year, try The Le Mans Classic! It’s even better! 😎
Thanks, will do!
...this video is one of the best ones you've ever made 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🏁 really amazing! Great 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻🏆
Thanks! 😃
Wow what an amazing trip, loved the podcast the other day now this, fantastic
Glad you enjoyed it!
Amazing 🤩 Thanks for sharing your experience 🎉
My pleasure 😊
Hello Peter and Joe! You have certainly come so far in just a few short years…..To a special life that is a reward for all the hard work you both do in bringing the channels to us. I have never been to Le Mans although was all set for 1984 and some circumstances got in the way so I had to cancel. I used to listen on my radio in the 1960’s and dream of being there…of the sights sounds and atmosphere. Keep going both of you…keep taking us old dodderers along and helping us live memories we should have made for ourselves. Well done Peter….thank you again. Richard😃😃😃😃😃
Thanks Richard 🙏🏻
You get your money's worth at those endurance races, I go to them in the USA, Daytona Rolex 24, Sebring 12hr. and Road Atlanta 10hr., 60 cars, multiclass racing is the BEST ! WEC is coming to Austin, Texas, this year.
Very cool!
My first experience of Le Mans this year with my son. The race was good to watch but having paid for a camping pitch, we arrived to find they hadn’t got any left and none of the other sites either - ended up pitching tents on a grass verge on an industrial estate not far from one of the sites. We saw you and Joe just after the race finished but before we could catch you to say hi, you disappeared in to the Michelin hospitality area. Keep up the good content and look forward to seeing more.
Hope you still enjoyed the weekend 👍
Certainly did. Even a 2 hour delay on the Shittle on the way out and a 1 hour delay on the way back didn’t dull the whole experience 👍🏻
Wonderful video. Thank you so much for sharing your amazing experience
Glad you enjoyed it!
Fantastic video, thankyou
Glad you enjoyed it
Fantastic film, loved it. 😁
Glad you enjoyed it
Good afternoon Folks!
Hi 👋
Very, very cool video. Great job, Pete 😃👍👍👍
Thanks 👍
I was there in 91 too. You know you are getting old when the Radio Le Mans commentators now are the sons of the ones then!
😂😂😂
Good driver
Great film, really enjoyed it but I can’t believe you don’t have a collection of branded umbrellas Pete to keep you dry!!
Love the car park walks at Le Mans, almost as good as the racing. Great to see all the Alpines, was similar at the Classic but they were the original A110’s
LOL. I’ve got plenty of other branded items 😂
That was an amazing behind-the-scenes video. The lap in the Porsche Targa was particularly impressive to watch! 👍
It was impressive to experience 👍
That was fascinating.
Thanks 🙏🏻
Attention Attention please. There has been an accident involving Porsche number 20 driven by Michael Delaney.
Was there 20 years ago and it is still a fantastic memory. Took the Caterham SV with the Lotus Club👍Must try to get there again but now a Porsche fan & owner 😀 Thanks for a super review 👍
You should!
What an amazing experience 👌🏻
Yep 🙏🏻
Wow amazing video
Thanks
Well that looks amazing. I was supposed to be at Le Mans this year too, but covid19 had other ideas. Your trip looks amazing though.
Next time!
Hot lap at Le Mans, pure GOLD. Then into the Heli, GTFO!
Indeed 👍
Great vlog! really enjoyed it, was the 911 run a 992.2 GTS? (hybrid?), sorry don't know when it was held.... probably not as you would have mentioned it..... anyway great video !
I. Just 992 👍
My Grandad was a mechanic for one of the teams in 1933. It's changed a bit since then!
Oh yes 👍
😂 hold on lol
Ooooooh, you lucky lucky bastards!👍🤙
😬😜
@@PetrolPed Great vid Ped, thanks for taking us along for the ride. Now, when are you getting that Octavia vRS Estate. The petrol Pups say yes!
Hello mate
Hi 👋
HI
Hi 👋
Howdy
Hi 👋
Great video of a spectator perspective of Le Mans. In my opinion, do not associate yourself with Joe Achilles, you represent honest motoring reviews, he is just a sell out to BMW and lacks integrity.
All that pollution from them cars
