Gotta say, Lindstrom and slaf on the front 6 would be nasty, pair that with the defensive core in the making, adding another big power forward would be a great step forward in the rebuild process
I want the Habs to chose one of Cellebrini, Demidov, Lindstrom or Iginla. l'm hoping Eiserman and one of the defensemen can slip in there so we can pick either Demidov or Lindstrom. The two wild cards could be if Silayev shows more IQ on the ice he could be a total stud. If Eiserman can improve his overall game he would be a hell of a pick seeing he's a scoring machine. I see Iginla moving up the ranks too. I hope the Habs can fall to the 5th pick or better. Go tank go
The problem with Eiserman is.. when he is not scoring. He's not bringing much else to the table. At worst he is your better version of Mike Hoffman pp specialist, but playing on the third line.. at best.. he is a first liner.. but he has alot of work to do to get there. Top 6, second liner is a likely possibility down the road. But might not be an impact player overall.
@gp1237 its funny how last year Celebrini and Eiserman were head to head for 1st overall. Things change a lot in 1 year eh. Bob MacKenzie has him 4th right now, im pretty sure he'll be in the top 10, i project him in the 5-8th range
He may be the best goal scorer in the draft but you know what? Celebrini, Iginla, Connelly, Lindstrom..and especially Demidov...are all in that discussion. At this point in Oliver Wahlstrom's draft, we were hearing that he was definitely the best goal scorer in his draft class as well.
@@recruteshockey9700 Indeed, I remember Wahlstrom's shot.. He did have one of the best shots of that first round.. with his one timer ability.. Crazy how we barely see it at all now. I think Eiserman is a much better scorer, tho. The records he put in the ntdp are serious, but I'm scared that he may be one of those players that peak early, and don't improve much after. This is the kind of player that a combine interview would be eye opening for teams. I think character and motivation would dictate how this player is to evolve in the upcoming years.
@@maxpatenaude2115 5th to 8th could make sense. If I'm one of those team that could draft him, I feel like combine interview would be very important for this player. If he shows that his motivations are beyond success and money, that would be a good sign. I would want to know if he plays hockey to live or if he lives to play hockey.
Great show Rocco and Grant. Hab's fan here and now that Kent Hughes has moved Sean Monahan to the Jets chances are that Montreal will end up picking between 4 to 7. With a bit of lottery luck maybe a little lower and boy Lindstrom would certainly help the rebuild... Either way they have 2 first rounders and if they keep their own they will end up with a great player... Really enjoy the depth that you both put into your analysis..
With no WJC medal, Celebrini will be thirsty for a frozen four. It should be a great showcase for the draft with several picks with full-time NHL potential. Good luck prospects now is your time. 🏁
When you say that Celebrini is somewhere between Jonathan Toews and Sidney Crosby, that means that he has the potential to be the best all around player in hockey at some point in his career. That is crazy high praise.
I don’t believe Celebrini will be a perfect comparable to Crosby, But he does have qualities in his game that resemble Crosby.. If I were to guess he will be more like toews with more offensive upside…
A comment after the first the first 3 minutes: Celebrini is not 5'11, 180, he is 6'0, 190. It is quite a difference because it means that in addition to his complete game, all around talent and hockey IQ,, he is built like a tank already at 17. Lindstrom is 215. Silayev is 6'7".
Grant does talk to NHL scouts and coaches of these junior/NCAA teams and there are some people that have him listed as 5’11 189 pounds… HockeyDB has him listed at 5’11 189… We shall see when he gets to the combine, But I’m 100% sure me or you can’t say for certain how tall or how heavy he is unless you know Celebrini personally and I doubt that…
You had him on your bathroom scale and brought out the tape measure? 🙂 How do you know what his exact height and weight is? Let's wait for the draft combine - then we can definitively state his height and weight. Very few college teams post the precise height of a player...it often gets "bumped up". I do think he weighs 190 now, though, and I have never said that he was light. He's just not average NHL height - which is 6-1+.
@@recruteshockey9700 He is listed at 6'0", 190 pounds on both the Boston College roster and on the Canadian team roster at the world juniors. Those are recent. Then 5'11" 180 pounds is an old listing when he was 16.

Because you strongly disagree with one ranking...that makes it horrible? It is early February. Let's see how things shape up before we get vociferous in our condemnations. I was told in February of their draft years that ranking Heiskanen top five, Thomas top ten, Slaf first overall etc.... that my list was "horrible" too.
@@recruteshockey9700 im sorry your scouting is horrible if you put any of those players below iginla. Iginla doesnt get drafted top 10 in no ones list, way over rating him. Not the only thing wrong with the list btw just a major flaw

Those players were stylistic comparables. Obviously not ability or potential comparables, as that would be insanely speculative.
If you disregard the likes of McDavid, Hughes, Bedard etc....I suppose so. Not sure I would classify Crosby lite as superior to McDavid.
@@tylerlussier1896 Toews with more offensive upside is basically the best all around player in hockey.
Trade down for Catton
Brandsegg-Nygard.
It was also Bergeron-Cleary. You seen anyone calling him that in the past two decades?😉
