I realized a few years ago that I'm completely different with my mom and my dad. I'm silly, fun, open, and "never a dull moment" with my mom. I completely lack these traits around my dad, I'm not myself around him. I think it's because my dad has issues with patience and his temperament, he can go from "normal" to "scary asshole" on the slightest provocation. When you're a little kid that leaves a lasting impression on you.
My mom never yelled in my face when I fucked up as a little kid, she never made me cry, she never made me feel bad for asking questions, and she never pushed me away. Instinctively, I'm comfortable being myself around her.
If you're a father, keep that in mind.

Our entire male culture misunderstood the purpose of boot camp is not to make men better, but to make them willingly expendable tools. The survival of a nation depends on traits that are utterly useless once the war is over. Especially in an age where life becomes more safe, free and easy every year. In a world of peace, prosperity and complexity, the traits of aggression, toughness and obedience are worse than useless. They are disadvantages. This is a world where feminine traits work better, where loving your kids prepares them better than toughening them. Men unwilling to adapt to this reality are the reason we elected an abuser to return us to the days when hurting and getting hurt were the stairway to greatness.

Being a dad is the best thing I've ever experienced. I try hard, and I'm not perfect, and I fail. But each time my daughters tell me they love me and don't want me to go to work, and I spend every weekend with them. One of them even said, "You're not like other dads. You play with us. You don't just watch the football game." All I know is I try hard.... jeez, I'm tearing up writing this. I'm at work and just thinking about my daughters.

She's 9 years old now and I've literally never heard anything mean come out of her mouth. The part when they discuss if your father was mean to you as a child it stays with their child is 100% true. My dad was loving and good provider but he was always angry. I never knew why he was angry and that put allot of fear into my brother and I. Fast forward 25 years and Im a father of 3 wonderful kids! But Im angry and I dont know why.. I changed allot and learnt to be more patient but its true. So all I wanted to say was patience is truly a virtue that will resonate with your children. Children will become angry and spiteful to their peers in school and especially at home to their parents and siblings. A happy home means happy kids.

I think it's important to care for one self so you can care for others with all your heart. And it makes you a great role model cause youre building something for your children and show them that they can do anything they want in their life. Don't put things off for to long - my mom did that and when I was getting 11+ she could not wait for me to just be independent so she can do her thing... I'd just wish she would have done that earlier cause then it wouldn't be so rapid and weird. And you're a really young mom so all energy and love is on your side, living the dream 😊

Me and my 1st daughter (3 years old at the time) used to travel across Bangkok for 2 hour journeys everyday, by bus, then boat, then walk/carry her for 20 mins to the school in the blistering heat/tropical thunderstorms. I was working at an international school and she was a student there. This was such a bonding experience and we are inseparable.
I feel truly blessed and feel less scared of death as a result feeling I have fulfilled part of my purpose on this earth However, I of course need to make sure I leave something for them before I’m gone.

Cuz your not there to help the kids through life’s stuff.. especially cuz they are gonna have some of your traits. And your the best person for your kids. Cuz you can give them insight and teaching on how to over come or handle some of those things that may come up in life.

Anna Lopatina he said fat tits and butt and shoot their load in the girl. That’s lust. Those thoughts. Sex. Banging. And then move on not wanting to be with that women Etc...
And it seems that they are talking about not to far back the fact that the women in the example are all pretty’d up. I don’t think In the recent centuries. We as a human race have had any real concern about populating the planet that we want to go around and spread the so called seed.
Maybe in certain situations through out time that has accrued in tribal populations. But in the core of the human condition Lust is something that everybody on the planet has to over come. If they don’t wanna make a mess of their life that is. Having multiple bastard children all over the place is not good for the children.
It seems like Joe likes to put it in terms of just biological tendencies. Even tho there is something to agree on to some degree in the biological sense. It’s a lot more serious than that. Got be responsible in this life for what we create and do. Your a girl what do you think?

Dipshit you realize humans are animals just like every other species? We have developed the ability to think rationally, but that doesn’t mean we’re able to fully control everything we feel and react to.
Yes, humans still have instincts, and the #1 instinct of every fucking living thing on God’s green earth is to reproduce. All Joe is saying is that physical attraction towards women is our natural instinct of reproducing and dominating the gene pool. Lust, is not a thing in biology. You’re trying to apply rational logic to an instinct, and instincts are usually irrational.

my boyfriend has 3 amazing children. holy shit i’ve never met such gifted, once-and-only in a lifetime kids in my life. the way they move and create in this world is just ASTOUNDING. i can’t wait to see where they go in life. their natural optimism, presentness, and joy is a beautiful example to us all. they bring me back to center when i snap out of my stress spells.
the most powerful part about it, is that no matter what we go through, we love each other unconditionally. it makes me tear up writing about this. it’s been such a rocky journey getting to know them & get used to living with 3 small & wild kids in a tiny townhome. but they push me to work harder financially, emotionally, spiritually, and socially.
i forgave my parents a while after learning what it’s like to raise 3 kids. they had a hard marriage and therefor a hard time with 3 of us.
so yeah. kids are powerful. i wonder often if i want my own someday. but ours are just perfect. i love them so fucking much. phew.

Becoming a parent does not change you. There's terrible parents in the world who are horrible people before and after becoming a parent. There's also great people in this world that don't need a kid to be a great person. People who think they "were changed" by having a kid, were good people to begin with, looking for a reason to be good.

The title of this video really isn’t kidding, and I think it applies to not-biological parents too. I was 12 and 13 when my two youngest siblings came into the world, and our mother had to get back to work and keep working a lot because she was always our sole provider, so a lot of the child raising fell on me. Im being 100% genuine when I say that those little kids changed my life. They changed who I am, and they taught me so much. I literally would not have known what love is if I had not shared that intimate bond with them. To have someone you take care of and protect more than anything else in life, it changes you. Changing diapers, figuring out what they like to eat, seeing their personalities grow and learning their fears. To this day, many years later, I’m still their comfort person. I still get to be the one whose arms they hide in after a long day, and it is everything. It gives me life. I would’ve been a very different, and much more -bitter- person, if I had not known those kids in that way.
I had to move far away to study bc economy and spacing was rough and dang I miss them so much. Having them fall asleep in my arms is still my own greatest comfort, and the nights feel so empty without their soft breathing.
