I don't know how I expected Bhaal to appear. But having knives stab through your butler out of thin air and Bhaal appear in the blood was inspired on the Dev's part.

Playing with the Dark Urge was extremely fun. But I will be honest. I'm going to miss that Butler He was honestly very funny and very charming.

@@Caliif He stays dead if you reject Bhaal. If you accept Bhaal he joins your camp and dialogue will confirm the butler's revival is only so long as there is still a need for them.
I fucking love how during this ENTIRE thing. Astarion is like HELL YA DO IT, WE WILL RULE. hahaha while everyone else is like NOOO WHAT ARE YOU DOING. Astarions like YESSSS MOREEE. I like the cut of his jib.
He was fine killing thousands for his own ascension and this isn't all that different.

You can mentally break Orin before the fight. To the left of the entrance is a tunnel that leads to Orin's bedroom. Once the bedroom of Dakr Urge. Orin's mother's body is there. Talking to the undead will give you the opportunity to interrogate her and you will learn that Orin's mother wanted to kill her on Sarevok's orders. Orin is devastated by this. Then Bhaal's voice appears.
My character wasn't a Slayer when she did this to her. I'm curious what Bhaal will say when your character is one.
How can you enter the bedroom without starting the fight?
@@Caliif There is a tunnel to her bedroom. You have to climb the broken wall. Use jump and just pass. I did write. I discovered this for the first time after killing her when I was falling down the location. I was surprised that the tunnel leads practically to the exit. I loaded and checked, and yes, you can enter the bedroom without killing her.
@@teoch5217 Or you can use invisibility and just walk by.
Another way to break her is kill Sarevok and tell her she's a child born of father/daughter incest.
Turns out Orin is turned into the slayer regardless of whether you're the slayer yourself. Upside is that this allows you to have a slaydown with her.

I wonder if this person didn’t make her a dark justiciar? I did (it’s a dark urge run, she should be a dark justiciar for that imo but to each their own), and she seemed less upset when making the revelation to her but idk. I also never resisted the urge and found out sooner so idk how much that affected it.

Orin kidnapped that Yenna kid with the pet cat for me. She then mercilessly stabbed the child to death. It was quite sad when I used speak to the dead on the child afterwards ; (
I legit rerolled that dice so many times just to get a single nat 20 to spare Yenna... I didn't want to lose out on her camp supplies. Plus she's just a kid.

so in order to have that fight with Orin with no transformations, you have to be an evil dark urge and not use the transformation?

I wish there was a way to keep the butler with you even if you were good he’s very interesting and seems to genuinely care about the main character
seeing orin die is so sad…doesn’t even have her own corpse bc she’s just bhaals property to use. didn’t even have a chance or get to be a person. fighting for something and someone that doesn’t love or care for her.

Bhaal is barely worth calling a diety. He is very weak for a god after he, Bane, and Mrykul got smacked down by the other gods. He would not have the power to cure Netherese Magic. Mystra could but she is a petty asshole as seen with Gale's quest
@ethanduncan1646 well if he couldn't then I'd have to refuse. Like I said can't serve two masters. If Bhaal can't cure a tadpole in my head then his gifts are worthless as well.
@@ethanduncan1646 He's strong enough to instant kill the player. In Baldur's Gate 2 the player can lose control and even kill their team mates because of being Bhallspawn. The world was shaken to the point that even good alligned monks were desperate to slaughter Bhall's children, just for existing. This is not what a weak god does. It's what a god that installs fear and dread does.
The ONLY reason the player in BG3 survives if going against Bhall is because the undead guy is Jergal. Who has power over death. There are fates worse then death however. Might be why Bhall is so bloodthirsty even. The fact we don't see more then a "Hi. Bye." with a quick ressurection is because the devs got sloppy and didn't expand on what's shown. The terror from BG2 is reduced to a fleeting "I'm here and now I'm not." Same goes for the end boss. "Hi. Bye." It makes it impossible for the player to get to know the threat or have suspense.
If anything, Bhaal would want you to use the tadpole's power if what the butler says is true and he was created from Bhaal.

I kinda like dark urge thing atleast I have a past like my companions lol gale with mystra shadow heart with shar kaizel with valkith wyll with mizore karlach with zarial helsin with whatever God they worship forgot the name. So yeah son off God off murder sound epic lol

i didnt understand Bhaals reward. i already got the slayer in act 2 i believe, then you get it again(?) in this fight, THEN he rewards you with the slayer for a 3rd time?
You get the Spell "Power Word: Kill" which is a one time use
And you get a bonus during the final section of the game which allows you to crit on a 18, 19 and 20 on the D20 (Stackable with other effects like Fighter- Champion level 3 feature)
Using it in the fight is just showing it off, starting the fight in it instead of having to use a bonus action. The reward of the slayer after is that the Slayer gets a buff I believe, the health of it goes up by like 60-70hp! Plus you're entire party gets a buff in the final fight of the game that increases your crit chance, and power work kill as the other commentor said. Not a bad series of buffs imo

for me she kidnapped Yenna (the little girl) and killed her cat

How do you kill her with a slayer? She just ends me in two turns
I killed her as an Sorlock. I casted bless, warding and used a vigilance elixir so I have a higher chance going first. Also played it safe and used devotion to increase my health by a bit.
Magic missled the shit outta her ass. If you want it easy, then I'd say just go fighter tbh.
Step 1: aquire a fuckload of "Hold monster" scrolls.
Step 2: survive long enough to cast it
Step 3: beat her to pulp while she is paralized
Step 4(optional): if she breaks from it, re-cast "Hold Monster"

Though I love this game, it bothers me how your actions have no real consequences regarding your companions. You can literally kill a innocent Moonmaiden who was just trying to save people in front of Will who's basically a paladin and he even helps you in the fight, you can transform into a Carnage incarnation monster in front of them and they just "dont hurt me okay?" And you can literally just say to the god of violence that you'll slaughter the world (after Orin reveal that the whole plot of the game was originally your doing).... and they just say "I hope you know what you're doing."
I know the game would be basically unplayable if the companions turned against you permanently and you'd have to kill all of them and beat the game by yourself, but that makes no fkng sense. The devs could've just added some evil companions that follow and approve Dark Urge's actions, Astarion is the only one that "kinda" makes sense to keep following Dark Urges actions until this point. (To prove my point that it makes no sense and it could be done, in Skyrim, if you just steal something in front of a good companion they attack you. But you also have the Dark Brothehood assassins who incites you to kill for fun. Though skyrim's npcs have zero personality lore wise, gameplay wise they are better made than Baldurs Gate's companions.)

What? Slayer is strong but not that strong. Your normal character is way stronger than the slayer form, and there are other shapesift such as owlbear that is better and can be used more often.

you can save her if you knock her out with non lethal passive turned on. The dragonborn lady replaces her if you do that.

@@untrustingstatue That's an unpatched exploit, though. She is very much intended to die. Quite a dick move on Larian's part given that the robe she gives players is perfect for a sorlock character.
