Fun fact, the Japanese didn’t care about WaR CrIMes or RuLEs oF EnGAgeMeNt that’s why they starved, experimented, and killed prisoners of war. The worst by far in the world wars were the Japanese when it came to prisoners. Sure russian gulags would starve you or kill you, the Germans concentration camps were horrid nightmares, but the Japanese were horrors so bad they don’t speak about them in any classes
Kip it is Japan during WW2 they didn't care about ROE or war crimes
Yep. Just call em honey badgers, cause they don't give any...
Yeah don’t know how kip hasn’t realized how brutal the Japanese Imperial Army were
"You call it genocide. We call it tuesday."
-Japan, probably.
And it was more specific than it being a rule of engagement if I’m remembering correctly it was just a single German officer who said if I here about you shooting someone in a parachute I’ll kill you myself
There was a rule Kip that you couldn’t shoot men parachuting down but it still happened. Japan and the nazis didn’t care about war crimes. I had a relative who fought in WW2 and was shot in the knee as he was parachuting down.
2:00 Imperial Japan weren't following the Rules OR the Geneva Convention in ANY regard during WW2.
They honestly rivaled Germany in atrocities in a lot of ways. It just didn't get as much reporting because everyone was so focused on the Nuke and trying to NOT execute the Emperor while we were digging this stuff up.
Germany probably recognized the Geneva conventions (up to that point) more than imperial Japan.
Germany's atrocities are highlighted in history because of the systematic targeting and organization. The Japanese killed just as many people in their campaign across Eastern Asia, but they were indiscriminate. It also doesn't help that people in the West sympathized with the ethnic groups that the German's targeted versus the inhabitants of Asia.
What is absolutely shameful is that the Japanese education system ignores their own actions in WW2 to the point that it isn't uncommon to find a Japanese citizen that hasn't even heard of the many genocides that the Japanese committed in China and the Korean Peninsula.
Japanese Zeros were notorious in the early stages of the war. Because the Hellcats and Mustangs weren't made until 1942 or 1943 (I forget) they outpaced any planes we could throw at them till that time. Japan's influence over Oceania was not only massive but oppressive and I will never forget Camp O'Donnell nor Experiment 751.
We are talking about the Imperial Japanese. It's not a war crime if it isn't a crime, and laws only apply to people, not subhuman inferior species. And if you weren't Japanese, you weren't people. Were there Japanese who did not follow this school of thought? Yes. Were they exceptions? Also yes. And generally not im the Imperial Army and Navy. Also, one does not have to be cruel oneself to be indifferent to the cruelty of one's subordinates.
I'm fairly sure it had more to do with the Bushido code a bit more then them thinking of all other races as subhumans. You lost your honor and THEN you were subhuman, not so sure about beforehand though... I know for a fact multiple nations have used some kind of 'racial supremacy' to motivate poppulation control and limit international interference so in that regard then you are right to say such a line of thinking existed I however do not think it was as prominent then you stated and more about their National ROE's being ruthless on top of propagenda from both sides. At the end of the day it should all be down to varied perspectives since it is what humans are... The real answer should simply be, 'because its humans at war and that a convention requires for all to agree, this is how these 'that's against the law' happens, when humans do what humans do best and find more creativity to kill eachother.
@@gotskilsudont2149Bushido Code is one of the reasons.
They treated POWs really poorly, because they surrendered and that was not honorable.
On another video of Electrician there was an American that fought damn near to death and was forcefully captured. He had a much better time than the ones who put down their arms.
"I hear they have a lot of pothole issues." So what you're saying is... even the potholes are bigger in Texas? :P
not compared to Louisiana.
Kip hate to say this but when it comes to war the rules for engagement are just left out until one side wins then the other has to answer for them. All sides did it even with men floating in the water after a ship went down and shots them dead. Though honestly Japan did the more war crimes even over Germany in many ways
Japan did a Warcrimes speed run and won the proverbial gold medal 🏅
@brothersgt.grauwolff6716 Canada still has that honor, sad that we're such pussies now.
The 1911 will always be a timeless design and my favorite carry gun.... plus those triggers are impeccable
Texas potholes aren't bad when comparing size/depth... but the is a lot of Texas where the speed limit is 85 which means everyone is going at least 90,and hitting a 1 inch deep pothole at 90-100 will really make you worry about getting a new rim 😅
Love your reaction’s. You’re doing amazing.
2:12 Yes, but Japan didn't sign the document.
The potholes here are so bad, I’ve seen an entire Toyota Camry be claimed by one.
The 'rules of engagement' as far as Japan was concerned were 'kill the enemy', that's it.
First off, I don't have a favorite caliber of ammo, but I love the idea behind .444, which is .44 magnum bullets being shot out of a rifle because .44 magnum wasnt enough. I do have a favorite gun though, there's a gunsmith near where i live that moddifies the Remington 870 12ga and afterwards the scope is set up for 50yds and 200yds to be the center and 400yds to be the lowest dot on the scope. And this is while shooting a 3in slugs
Funny enough it's technically shot down two, in Germany some American pilots did a drive by (fly by?) on a German plane, hitting the pilots foot causing him to jerk and crash the plane. The American pilots were Dwayne Francis and William Martin, they even got a picture with the downed aircraft and multiple people saw the dogfight from the ground.
Texas v.s. Michigan: Who has worse potholes?
Also, yes this is my second comment lol, I’m from Texas and yes we just do stuff different not always better, most of the time better tho, but always different.
Caliber debates always seem to overlook that Reagan damn near got killed, and Brady was seriously wounded, with a 22LR revolver.
A scary state team up just popped into my head the team up is Texas California Florida and Ohio
Hey kip always love youre vids especially to fat electrician, just for info the story he has in his video isn't the only time a 1911 shot down a plane the other one was in the western theater it is also 100% proven even by phograpthic evedence . If you want to learn more i whould recommend the video from animarchy history around a month ago.
I don't have a 1911, but I do have a bunch of spring type airsoft/bb, 1911 pattern guns
I'm not much for handguns, but I've got a nice Ruger .22 LR revolver with I'm working with getter better at using. I'm more of a rife/shotgun guy, and recently got a decent compound bow so I can get back into archery. Give me a rifle of most any type and I can put multiple bullets through the same hole of anything I can see clearly with iron sights, or only widen it slightly. It's part of growing up on a farm in rural Kansas. Plinking and target shooting is just a common recreational activity here, and I've had some stiff competition from family members over the past 38 years that I've been shooting actual guns. Personal rifle is a Ruger 10/.22 semi-auto, but I've got experience with stuff like the Ruger Mini-14 that my dad had (and uncle now has), and various others that family and friends have. For shotguns, I've got 20, 16, and 12 gauges in pump action. Used to practice shooting hedge apples out of the hedge trees, but none of those trees around my current house, so having to stick with old boxes and such.
2:03 “wasn’t the rules-“
WWII Japanese: “What the FUCK are rules????”
Why yes, we ARE built different, and yes, we DID have pothole issues, but the roads are starting to get better.
Also most of the reason we’re built different is because we forgot to spec into Ice resistance, even though it’s 4x Super Effective against us
i think it was battlefield 2042 trailer that an F35 pilot ejects pulls out an AT4 kills a helicoptor then catches up to the falling F 35 gets back in and flies off
That’s why you get a double stack 45 capacity and power
I’m a fan of the old 1911, so much so I own 2
yes two fat electrician reaction videos in one day it a great day
5:41 “when someone comes up to you and is like, ‘well buh…’ “
Looks like The Chunky Electron Man has worn off on you…X3
Texas has a pothole issue because there’s just too many roads and too many miles of road to work on quickly enough.
Kanss has a pothole issue because KDOT is lazy.
"Hey, I enjoy .500 S&W"
.45 vs 9mil, in the end that G9 literally hits different.
Only local county roads have pothole issues. State roads and highways are exceptionally maintained.
Nah, Michigan has the pothole issues.
"but my 2 world wars"
21+1 9mm vs 12 45 when the average vesr can tank 3-5 rounds regardless of caliber. And unless you are doing regular post-it training... You aint doing golden bbs
❤1911
Bro 45 ACP is rated for a*******, cows and plains.
Built different... built stupid lol
Is it just me or is there no sound in the video?
It's 5 by 5 for me.
Kip, Japan actively targeted Medics during WWII, what do you think they did to parachuting Americans
It's never a warcrime the first time. It is also only a warcrime if you lose.
Also, we all know the best pistol caliber is 10mm.
Epic Comment Censorship:
There’s Nothing Against [K-Y] Paratroopers even Somewhat Vaguely Ever
I Love Watching Him Evolve and Learn
He’s Going through All The Predictable Mentalities
Just Need’s some More Material
Yeah, we can't restrict this to just Japan. None of the Japanese, the nazis or Italian fascists. Followed any rules of war, like ever.
Is it just me or does he look like Kyle Rittenhouse?
A kid?
