I am retired now but used to work at New Holland in grand island Nebraska. Was on the combine assembly line. Installed the engine and grain tank. Built a lot of TR99’s truly a great machine Worked there 29 yrs. Thanks for sharing!!
Great vid👍I like when new combine arrives to a farm, definitely different to older NH combines. No CAT motor which I have mate here who has problems with CAT in his NH combine, cabin is best with rubber floor n buddies seat. Interesting woth combine fronts, we use both fronts, canola front and draper rest of grains. Can’t wait to see TR99 in field👍
Good Luck with the Combine. Seems like a Decent Buy. Always a Good Watch. Cold here in Wisconsin also this week. 70 and just dropped to 48 and cloudy all week.
Sure looks clean.. I don't have much to say about TR's. I know you can't remember but I told you my story about my TR (back n the 80's) eating a Rock from picking downed corn. There was so much damage in the rotor area we scraped it! The rock trap was blocked and not working.
Nice machine there, congrats! I hope it serves you without any big problems, it's always fun to get some new (to you at least) machine to work with. edit. LOL just noticed this is old one already.. xD.. Well.. good luck to your knew machine, four months ago! :D Pfff... i just stumbled this video yesterday and assumed it was newest video lol..
Nice upgrade Tyson , Just a suggestion Tyson , but i would take the new purchase and polish off the remaining canola with it and you can see if anything needs attention before harvest 19 . ( Just my 2 cents ) .
The wife and I run two tr98s have had them for years they have well over 6500 engine hours and still going strong no problems we run jd630 platforms and Drago 8rows
Northern farmer. Yes we have replaced lots of wear parts..we have put rotor covers on both now rotor ramp raps bars .rear beater chopper floor .grain tank bottoms feeder house floor .but not one thing to engine ,rotor box , finals trans or hydro ..both have duals and big tank extensions
That is practically a Ford engine too. They were made in Basildon, England and production continued when Ford sold its agricultural machine business. Only difference is the brand name.

Nice machine ! Glad you guys found it !
Congrats on the TR99. End of an era for the original Twin Rotor design. Great combine.
Yes..they switched to larger 22? Inch rotors in the cr series I believe .
@@Northern_Farmer The cr combines have to frame sizes. The small ones are 17” rotors and the big ones are 22” rotors if I remember right
Love the way you fellas do stuff... I have never in my lifetime ever bought anything brand new equipment wise... Best wishes Tyson
Who can afford that stuff... unless you have 6000 acres... but even then the farmers around here dont ever buy the new equipment.. its all leased.
good luck with the new machine, new to you
Gotta love the New Holland TR series we’ve had TR 95 then upgraded to a 96 and 99
Looks like you made a fine purchase! Let’s hope she runs a long time for you.
Looks like besides being kept outside, that they took good care of it. It will be interesting to see it run this year.
Very nice looking machine! Looks like it was taken care of.
Very nice, looks like it was well maintained and in great shape 👍
Yea... just sat outside alll the time which is why its faded.
love the videos. i have run a few new holland combines. 3 tr70s a tr 85 and now a tr 86 with the ford engine. underrated. great combines.
Thanks Zach. We used to have a TR 70 with the ford engine... was a good combine. They are great threshing combines
Congratulations on the new combine
nice combine good luck with it thanks for showing us
Congrats, that is one mean combine, engine looks good and the combine is great beautiful.
Awesome, Love The Twin Rotors!
The TR98's and 99's are nice machines. My cousins burnt up last fall from what they are guessing was a fuel leak on the return line
I have been hearing about this problem.
Heck yea! Looks like a nice upgrade and a nice machine too!

If I would have dropped it off at the south farm, you would have seen it go next week.. I still have 50 acres of canola to thrash
@@Northern_Farmer What do you do with that canola? Can sell that or do you just throw it away?
Best of luck with you new piece of Equipment
Nice addition to your equipment. Now you'll have to put an ejection seat in it , in case Shaun tries to use it this fall.
Haha,,, I think shaun will run it but he might stick with the 9600

Nice! I'd like a 98. You're on a buying roll!
Lol thanks
Great video Tyson nice looking combine
Only new holand I'd ever want lol absolutely awesome.e machines!!!!
I bought a 96 after watching Tyson I love it. The cat takes 1/2 gallon a day and never gives me trouble.
Dude... you should have gotten one with the ford engine... I have had problems with every 3208 I have had... fuel pumps mainly.
not a new holland fan but i love the look of them old tr 96 cab intierior
that ford 7.5 is a BEAST! ours has like 4000 hours and doesnt use a drop of oil. run the valves on them. they are an AWESOME engine
Should be a lot better than the old 3208 cats!!

Seems like a nice combine. I am curious how much faster it will be than your 96. Thanks for sharing!!
Well it has 40 more HP and slightly bigger clean grain capacity. So it should be a little bit faster
Good luck hope it works out for your ok Maybe make it Shawns machine to operate.
Shaun has his John deere
The 3208 we used to call the wizz bangers cause they go bang to easy, the only bad engine CAT made
I agree... but the only problems I have had with them are fuel pumps and water pumps...and the odd injector problem
We were told that the TR 99 we had had the same motor as the Genesis tractors
What Jeff said!!!
The Eagle has landed

YES!!!

We pretty much swath everything
Nice purchase Tyson 👍

Congrats on the combine upgrade Tyson. Can you tell what you like about Swathmaster PU over the Victory ones?

Great motor Genisis series engine
Nice
So you bought a newer combine. It looks really sharp. But I think it a 2000 instead of a 2002. Look at the motor sticker. Still a good deal.
Your right... I kept thinking of the other TR 99 that I didnt get at a earlier auction.
Sharp looking combine ! Could you bale the canola and use it to bed cows next winter ?
You could.. but it doesnt make very good Bedding. We have baled it and used it for shelter bales though. The cows didnt really touch the bales at all...
My 1993 tr96 has the ford!
Thought you were gonna bring home one of the 9600 from that sale
They were pretty old and in bad shape.... The side panels were even smashed... Dont know how you smash them?
Mine had a 3208. I think your new TR is a IVECO motor. CNH is all Italian.
This one has the New Holland Genesis Engine in it. Im pretty sure the Ivecos didnt show up until 2003 with the CR series.
You maybe right Tyson.
Nice. Looking machine, will it be re placing one of the other trs
Yes. The one TR 96 has a lot of Engine problems on the 3208 cat.
