Poisoning is really hard to prove who the perpetrator is beyond a reasonable doubt when your only poisoning one person because you basically need video proof of the tampering or a long pattern of behavior that proves it could only have been them.
Poisoning multiple people is much easier to prove because one person is the link between the victims, but one victim makes it much harder to prove the perpetrator beyond a reasonable doubt.
Those mothers who poison their children for attention and sympathy from doctors (Munchausen syndrome) usually keep getting away with it until either their kid or kids die inside a hospital or hospital cameras catch them doing it.

There was a case earlier this year of a woman who was poisoned by her husband, who was buying the poison “for his dental practice” and would bring it home and put it into her daily protein shakes. His coworker caught on after noticing the out of place drug in their incoming deliveries and hearing that the dentists wife was in the hospital with specific and suspicious symptoms.
If the coworker hadn’t caught on and informed the hospital to test for the drug, the dentist would have gotten away with murder.
It’s so scary how close he came to getting off the hook. They found out that she was poisoned the same day that she passed. After knowing that story and seeing this case, it scares me to think of how many times this crime has been committed by smarter criminals who have gotten away with it.

I'm *really* curious why she chose *bleach* of all things as a poison. I'm a HUGE true crime buff and I went to college for pharmacy (I have a fair bit of knowledge about how spouses poison). Bleach is a bizarre choice for several reasons:
    - The instantly recognizable smell, even when mixed with coffee that scent is unmistakable.
    - Bleach is not something that will instantly kill you, even if you down a gallon of it. People have done that and survived.
    - Not only will it not kill you, but small amounts of chlorine won't even make you sick. The amount needed to cause illness would be enough to cause a noticeable change in *taste*.
    - The taste. He said he stopped drinking it because it tasted bad! Antifreeze is a popular choice of poison because it tastes sweet and there are *numerous* substances that either taste better or that have no taste at all.
All of things make me think that one of two things may be happening. Either she didn't want him dead and just wanted him sick enough to where he was forced to stay home from work and spend time with her, or she *was* trying to kill him and is completely incompetent to an embarrassing degree. You would think that something so *final* and devastating as poisoning someone would be important enough to her take seriously! She is really playing games with his life and I think she's a danger to society.

Handling the SGLI paperwork used to be a part of my duties. $500K is the maximum, but the soldier can choose to reduce the SGLI payout in exchange for reduced insurance payments. 100K is guaranteed in death gratuity, but the insurance payout ranges from $50k to $400k depending on the soldier's choice (in increments of $50k). Not sure if it works the same for other branches (this guy is airforce) but I would assume it is similar.
Either way it is ridiculous and abhorant to murder someone for any amount of money, but $500k isn't exactly retirement level money. Even if she got away with it and frauded the death gratuity/SGLI system, she would eventually have to return to work eventually and it would have been all the more difficult as a single parent (not that she would have been a good parent either way with such a skewed moral compass).

I put a camera in my dad's room at his assisted living facility in 2018 to be able to look in on him, talk to him through it, etc. In 2020, while the facilities were all locked down, that camera is how I learned the staff were not temp-checking residents or following the rules regarding PPE use. Hardly anyone was wearing PPE after the admin left each day and staff infected many. Dad had numerous falls and while in the hospital to get evaluated, he tested CV-19 positive, I was kicked out, and I knew I'd never see him again. I immediately reported his case to his facility and they FINALLY tested and found 34 cases and ended up with 3 deaths of residents-including Dad. That cam was the best $50 I ever spent and will be key in my wrongful death and negligence case.

Working on aircraft, you're given books and checklists that detail every precise step to follow when performing a task; to deviate or ignore any steps is considered disobeying a direct order. And this is present in most careers, be it mechanical, security forces, support, etc. So you learn routine, repeatability, and attention to detail. 2. Chad Daybell's totally healthy wife dies unexpectedly. No autopsy, The police are totally fine with it. Chad and increased her life insurance by 500% just a few months beforehand. He is pestering for the money the very next day...AND telling people he's found someone new. The insurance, two sets, pays out without hesitation.

Watching this made my skin crawl...Back in the early 1990's, I became very ill..the symptoms were severe. I was throwing up, severe headache and loss of coordination... and several other issues.
My partner, at that time, showed little concern at my situation and was reluctant to take me to the hospital emergency room. Instead, she took me to a doctor, that I had never encountered before. It was a waste of time really, he prodded me in the stomach a few times, which made me worse. I ended up in the toilet at the doctor's practice, throwing up.
When I came out she was standing at the door, waiting for me. I never saw the doctor again.
She claimed that the doctor had told her that is was simply a tummy bug...
We returned home and, for five long days, I suffered.
    Eventually, I got over it.
The only thing that made me suspicious was a packet of rat poison was that sitting on the kitchen bench top. We did not have a rat or mouse problem at our house.
A year or two later, we split and she left.
Not long after, I researched the symptoms of ingesting rat poison... bingo, it matched my condition.
I called the police but, due to a positive lack of evidence, they took it no further. As far as I know, they never questioned her.
It is sobering to realize that someone you trusted, hated you to the point of trying to kill you.

This is a marriage that went wrong, we don't know circumstances of that relationship. She obviosly thinks that he is not the best husband to her and she might have grievances. It is very likely that she choose him to live a better life and get out of her life circumstances that she perceived unbearable. This is not the best reason for someone to enter the marriage. Powerty breeds sociopathy. She might be the monster, she is, because where she comes from... One more reason to look more deeply into the background of the prospective marriage partner. And, this is what he failed to do. One more reason for compassion: as he was building the house on a quick sand with this woman, this marriage could cost him life.

It was completely down to her husband that she failed (thankfully). Strange that she chose bleach, though, as it has an extremely strong odour ...
