that does not work for me at all and seems you would really need to deform the case for that to help any... if you push down (on the surface, not towards the ground necessarily) right where the latch is on the lid (where the bump is for your thumb) it will push the edge that is holding the lid to the body away from its anchor. That I think is the correct way to open it without wearing out the latch or putting too much stress on the case
edit: if you do both squeeze the sides slightly and my method it seems like that requires the least amount of force and the least wear

Hey, I own these air pods and i have to say that the case is hard to open to prevent that it opens its self while being stored let's say - in your backpack. I was hectic about choosing these instead of airpods, However, after owning the Jabra for more than 2 months and commuting for more than 1 hour every day ( I live in LI and work in NYC). I feel comfortable and happy with my purchase.

The case isn't that hard to open. Just don't open it while holding it sideways. I have a pair of the Elite 65t's and they're great... unless you're using an Android phone.
There is a problem that many people, including me, are having. The balance is wrong when using Android phones. The advice support gives is brain dead. They keep saying the right side is not fitting securely. Then why do they sound fine using my iPod touch and my Surface Pro?
I've contacted LG and Jabra and they both have no solution. Another they they suggest is to reflash the firmware by changing to a different language and back to English. Doesn't work. It's still mostly in the left earbud.
So currently, the only solution is to listen to music using my old iPod Touch... which is making me contemplate just getting an iPhone next time around.

Haha. 😁 The only negative is the case opening. Easy fix man. Right where the little thumb bump is. Right above the opening, squeeze the lid while your thumb’s on the lil thumb bump, and open. Don’t be afraid to put a lil pressure, doesn’t take much though. Opens pretty nice actually. 💯🇺🇸✌🏼✌🏼

How will this perform at flight travels (noise cancelling)? I bought the SONY - WF1000 XM3, and noise cancelling it's ok. But they don't feel really secure in my ear. And I'm looking that this pair seems like really fit really well inside the ear canal. So my last question is: how about in travel flights, does it perform well at cancelling external noise?

  • @lyfandeth

One small problem, and Jabra knows about it. THESE ARE FOR OUTDOOR USE ONLY. The right earbud is the master, and it communicates magnetically with the left one, according to Jabra. This means if you are indoors near the weak magnetic field from a desk lamp, AC wiring in wall, etc., that will disrupt the connection. Which is why you find many complaints online about a bad left bud. There's nothing wrong with the bud. Run any "EMF Detector" app on a smartphone, if it shows an EMF field, these buds won't work. Outdoors? No problem, they're great. Indoors? No.

    • @Jesse-dn2ut
      @Jesse-dn2ut Před 5 lety +5

Have these for two months now. Never had any issues whatsoever.
You are correct that a magnet can cause some trouble. A small magnet in the case is used to turn off the buds.
Technically the buds could turn off when you're being close to a magnetic field.
All this never happened to me yet. If I compare it to my previous jaybirds x3s the connection is Waaaaaaay more stable.

Watch out by saving what seems buying cheaper ones which amount the buying land fill junk for the most part in your disappointment you either end going back to wire type if your phone has 3.5 Jack still or over spend trying find ones which work seamlessly with no annoying dropping of signals or buds going mono temporarily but here with jabra elite even on a cycle with a hutters hat on or even if the phone is in rugsack the bluetooth 5.0 version paired to 4.1 work grate none of this its has be in this pocket only to work
The only short coming of these jabra elite 65t are if they could go on for 24hrs on one charge playback time. Charging box is hard to open at first but GIVEN thought into as they don't have magnetics to hold the buds in the case this a plus (hard opening )just squeeze the case slightly gently between index finger an thumb and it's open safty unplanned maybe but make safe Pros : app is deep to enriching the features more the so. Comfortable too even sleeping caused no pain. These actually maybe the top of tree at meantime till batteries technology gets even better hours runtime. Should maybe gotten Active but the was my saving .its difficulty seeing we don't get the chance to pre test the in ear buds before buying and reviews I'll stop with a final work top bit of kit for these on the go worthy of asking price

completely UNTRUE! I bought the 65t after your review, and it is a piece of complete POO! To qualify my horrific experience, I use this mostly for taking phone calls. Its multiple mic configuration did not improve the mic functionality AT ALL. Rather than beefing up its noise reduction or better voice capturing capabilities, the additional mics only picked up a ton more background noise resulting in the other side of the phone call constantly going HELLO HELLO! One exception to this is if you use this in a QUIET PLACE, then there's no excessive background noise to pick up making this earphones usable (but then what the heck is the point if I have to hide before I can use this?)
HOTSHOT, did you try making a simple phone call at least before standing behind this crap?
