#ebpman #ebpmantech #ebpmantechreviews jabra elite 65t & jabra elite active 65t hands-on
Guys this a very very detailed review of the jabra elite active 65t. Check out my call audio test in the index.
Hello, EBPMAN.
May I ask where I can buy this colour?
This color of the 65t dosnt seem to be around anymore for some reason.
wanted to see the pairing process, didn't find it this "in depth" review
Your call quality test sounds good. But would you be able to test the call quality in a loud environment? I work in a coffee shop a lot and people always ask if im at a party. I’d be using wired earbuds. Please do this test.
Can you also do a demo of how voice assistants work with these earbuds, especially Google Assistant?
becouse of this review i made my purchase decision and i dont regret it .they are realy good value for money.sound quality is just superb.
I love these so much I bought a second set. The only knock I have with them is the sound disparity that exist sometimes between the headphones
Thank you so much for the call test. So many reviews missed that.
I bought the set and I really had no regrets. It seem to be always in my pocket.
@@synite Hey I'm looking at getting these specifically for calls. I live in Hong Kong and take the subway have you used yours in a noisy setting like a coffee shop or subway, curious if the call will pick up noise around me.
@@anthonyh8937 I love these headphones. However, I live in NYC and phone calls are mostly frustrating in public areas such as Starbucks. The background noise tends to exceed my voice 90% of the time.
@@anthonyh8937 how has your experience been for the calls ?
Just picked up a pair. I previously owned the Jabra Elite Sports and these are better in sound quality and functionality. Great review and keep up the outstanding reviews.
Dont you need wired bluetooth earphone, i am thinking to buying one of Jabras but confused on using earbugs or neck band ?
Is there mics on both of them? Meaning can I switch between the two when making calls?
I've had mine for a few weeks now. One thing that irks me is that I have to be in hear through mode to activate the step count. Having the choice would be ideal. Most phone calls while wearing these have ended up switching back to the phone due to a lack of voice clarity through the Jabra mic. They are super comfortable and with the correct fit they stay in position well, the only time mine seem to move around is when lying on the bench press where I usually have to give them a firm press to push them into the ear canal. I have experienced no connection issues at the moment (current firmware) and no A/V sync issues. Yes, they do sound amazing.
Thumbs up for all the time stamps... Loved the review... Straight to the point.. No fuss
Just won these at work contest last month. Best Bluetooth buds I ever had!
Facts
He's a hundred percent right about the 65 t, you locked them in your ear and they never come out.. I actually use the 65 T for everything.. At work Atwood home when I'm doing lawn work or when I'm power walking, jogging, riding my bike for 38 miles which it takes me 3 hours to do, talking on the phone, listening to music although I wish they had a tad bit more bass but they sound awesome I'm thinking of keeping the 65t at work and getting the active
Do you mean the regular 65t or the active 65t? I'm confused as both are water/dust resistant.
Dont you need wired bluetooth earphone, i am thinking to buying one of Jabras but confused on using earbugs or neck band
Do you ride a motorcycle if so do they block out the sound really good and are they loud
Since you mention you use your earphones at work, do they block the ambient office talk noise during calls. I don't want the person on other end of the call to hear all the noise and not me.
Do you have a problem with charge? One reviewer had an issue even with the replacement piece that they didnt charge properly in the case and camevout with only 40 to 60 percent charge
Traffic noise is among the easiest sounds to filter away. Where they should really be tested would be in an open office environment with a lot of talking persons around you. Please make a test of that too?
Brian Daa this was done by another channel, search "65t mic test"
Thanks for including the audio demo. I saw at least one review that reported a LOT of ambient noise picked up by the mic, during a call, I think your demo proved them wrong.
I have the Jabra Elite 65t and i love them.. Your review on the Jabra Elite 65t is what made me buy them.. Thank you
is there a huge difference with the active? I just picked up the elite 65 regular---but they are sweat and dust resistant too so I wonder what the practical difference is.
Does it work with a smartwatch?
Yes they do, I have a Samsung Gear Sport watch and I listen to Spotify by using the Jabra Elite 65t
Will.Mase.Albert I've heard that the Active model "lock" better to your ear creating a better seal and won't fall off.
how have times you dropped them accidently, if at all?
The microphone doesn't cancel any noise at all. Neither does the Active Evolve 65T does any better noise cancellation. I have been using the active 65t for several months now and always have issues with other end in the call complaining about noise while I am outdoor with moderate traffic / crowd. On the other hand it works great when I am indoor without any noise - infact crystal sharp sound picked up by the mic during calls.BTW the evolve Active 65T only additional is the blue tooth dongle that can help you pair your laptop or give better bt range. Not really worth for the huge price difference between these two models, I see no improvement in the noise cancellation at all with the enterprise edition.
I’ve been waiting for these. They showed up this week at my local store. Thanks for the review. Just looking for airpod alternative. Lol.
Nice review, thks ! The call quality was however surprisingly mediocre...
By far my favorite headphone/Bluetooth I’ve ever used.
Very detailed and comprehensive review! Got all the information I need before the purchase. Thanks!
I like very much your review, I make my mind to buy them, thanks a lot!!
great review! only things that bug me are that I dont get why they dont adopt usb c and why didnt they throw in some magnets in the case!!! it would have been perfect!!!
Trevor Lo agreed 2018 and not adopted to USB type C so we need to carry an additional cable...sigh
Trevor Lo the pixelbuds are the only wireless earbuds with USBc
Faiz Saiyad Which should be a crime. How are they the only ones STILL, Almost 2019.
@@jumbabrother I know right!
The non active ones are on a labor day weekend sale for $129.99 at best buy. Went to go get some today but they didn't have any in stock, luckily the workers there didn't know the difference between the active and non active version (they thought it was just a color difference) so I got the active version for that insane price!! So far they sound better than my Jaybird X3 and fit well. I really like the ambient noise option because I can wear them at work and not have problems talking to coworkers.
Dr. Strange hey my x3 just broke down. Should i get these or jaybird x4 instead ?
I absolutely love this review, I love your detail. Keep up the good work.
This video let me know that I just need to switch up the ear tips. Thank you.
Witcherwork
I loved this review! I just bought these and haven’t really had much time with them yet and learned things in your review. I must say the only question I have as far as audio quality is I wonder how they stack up with Beoplay which I’m a huge fan of but I didn’t want to spend about $100 more. And the Bose. These two brands I’ve known to have rich smooth base but these Jabra earphones do have incredible sound in every other area! I didn’t really buy them for best sound all around so they are good enough.
Christopher Gaines are they still working? I hear they all break after 3 months of use
Thanks for the video. I've been using them since a month now & I find the following salient points for potential buyers
-- great audio, fit & ease of use esp while taking calls, listening to audios & videos.
-- one must use right earpiece, right acts as a master which simply eliminates the use of left one.
-- noise cancellation is not consistent during calls.
-- being a bit heavy, you feel the difference in your ears when you use it for more than 20-30 mins.
-- BT connectivity with the devices is instant
Vipul could you tell me the enduser listen your vc very clearly or is there background noise too.
Sometimes there is background noise.. that's why I said noise cancellation isn't consistent. But it is way better than airpods (V1)
thank-you for the call quality test....very helpful!
What an awesome review. Really good. Im going to get some tomorrow because of this review
I bought yesterday Jabra Active Elite 64T, it’s Amazing..... I read & watched too many reviews , many reviews stated it’s not having good sound.... All non-sense, its fantastic, you have to adjust bass settings in music app ..... 100% Happy buyer 😀😀
Typo... 65T, not 64T 😀
They are really good thanks for sharing your experience.
Also wondering the difference between the Active and the ‘regular’. Just IP, Coating and Motion sensor? If so, I will keep what I have now.
Absolutely love my Elite 65T and I use it a ton for working out, sweat and all. Nary an issue in 3 months. Very snug fit. I don’t even use my wireless ‘cans’ any more for isolating sound.
literally the only difference is an IP56 sweat resistance on the active vs IP55 on the regular
@@ProductionBandit quick charge also from low to provide you that last minute charge to get through your gym routine.
Are they shower proof
@@airtec87 no
Ty for your review. I ordered today from a site in my country. My Tellur Sedna charging case died and i chosed Jabra over Galaxy buds for 2 huge reasons: can press buttons with gloves at work and dustproof.
Thanks for this review, highly appreciated!
yep a great review. was dilly dallying between jabra elite active 65t vs. bose.. your review nailed it. asked my friend to pick it up from singapore. thanks.
Hope you enjoy. They are of great value!
Great well informed and the way you speak makes me believe in the Jabra.
Finally a call test thank you this helps my final decision
If you live in a major city the call test may vary. Background noise in NYC exceeds my voice almost every time.
Thank you for the review, I just bought the Jabra Elite Active 65t (copper/blue from Amazon), the music sound could be louder and more defined. While using the large ear gels the sound isolation is better, but then difficult to hear your own voice while on a call.
Barrett Wellington that’s what the hear through function is useful for.
How do they compare to the standard Jabra Elite 65t? Any improvements?
These are the best right now, if I had to change a couple of things, I would have a latch/button to open case, I dropped the case once and case opened on impact and buds went flying in different directions, lucky I wasn't near a sewer gutter. In my opinion they are slippery in hand I wish the case and buds had that non slip rubber coating like the icox2018 and jabra sport elite have, I thought the active version would have it, being active with sweat. Last thing would be USB-c all my devices use this now a days.
Mikey C23 you crazy bragi dash is garbage! They cut out all the time, sound like crap, and are over priced...
jdouglas8585
You can think what ever u think. I guess all the reviewers are wrong about jabra. Bragi dash are trash, no one even talks about bragi anymore.
david029014 lol he wasnt talking to you
The thing is... Jabra already made an excellent workout totally water submergable ear bud. The Jabra Elite Sport. It's incredible and very accurate with the heart rate monitor. I have both, I prefer the Elite Sport.
EBPMan Thank for giving these earbuds and the app a full review I have already ordered these and I cannot wait to try them for myself.
Thanks again!!!!!!!
Excellent review video, thank you!
Great thorough review! Thank you!
That shake test tho. Great review.
vtwatchdog lol. Yeah it was not. Good.
vtwatchdog I love them no matter what anyone says
FYI - Alexa streaming stops when the phone notification chimes (Galaxy Note 8)
I was hoping that the accelerometer feature could be turned off using the app because I've read that these have slightly less battery life than the original Elite 65T because of it.
Did I really watch this whole video & he didn’t talk about one of the most important things..
to me anyway.. What about audio & video latency, I watch a lot of CZcams & Netflix while travelling so this is very important to me. Many wireless earbuds have delay issues. Unlike music where you have no time reference, watching video of someone speak & the lip sync is off can be very distracting & annoying..
SparkyMTB He didn’t talk about it simply because there is no issue and he didn’t realize he should put this into the video. I saw one comment on the earbuds’ amazon page says there is a delay. But I personally never experience it. I have three pairs of Bluetooth headphones and I use them mostly for video watching and podcasts, they all work fine and no perceivable delay.
Guys it's the best one, just purchased
Everything is awesome
Might be some peoples are facing sound clearity problem because of the online music app
If you will listen via youtube or downloaded one then u will face no problem battery life is very good
These are awesome you're absolutely right I have to get me a pair thanks for this great video keep up the good work thank you
Great Review! I have just bought the BOSE SoundSport and they are terrible. So uncomfortable that my ears were hurting. I'm going to replace them now to the Jabra ones. I hope they will be better!
Daniel Erlich
I returned my Bose. Those things were huge!!! I couldn’t take it!
You didn't mention that these has BT 5.0 which makes them superior to any other truly wireless ear buds in terms of connectivity and most of all lightening fast and won't sync off with videos.
Friendly MVPDGN he did state they were Bluetooth 5.0 and explained as a result he had better connectivity.
amazing review, great job
Great review. Thanks, just ordered a pair on sale.
Very good review. Thank you so much for this video.
If you see this, can you comment on how the coating affects fit/stability in the ear compared to the 65t? I thought it was advertised to have a more rubber like feel for a more stable fit.
Also, in your opinion is it worth upgrading if you already have the 65t? I'm personally not overly concerned with the fitness tracking, more so with the coating/fit etc. (not to say I have any issues with the 65t fit)
I love my Motorola VerveOnes+ and it's mobile app and EQ settings and fitment in my ears.. I also love the charging case that is small for my pocket or backpack to store as I don't like things in my pockets.. I use Two or Three of them for both my Phones or PC I use the VerveLoop+ on my PC for Video listening than the EarBuds on Video setting... I use the Left EarBud for Video on my Phones...
Finally it is available now! Thanks for the full review @EBPMAN.
the call quality is much better and well enhanced than previous models.
One question though, do those earbuds have any connection issues like how it is with Elite Sport? Where one of the buds starts to dim or fade out, some cases there is a distorted sound coming from the left earbud usually.
Connection on these have been really good. Both active and 65t normal.
EBPMAN Tech Reviews thanks a lot for replying and verifying. I'm going to place my order right away. Appreciate your support.
t5hese look great.
this video really helped me make my mind up between theese and a pair of sony's.
THanks alot!
Heya, I have Jabra 65t and actually I do have some issues with calls as my callers hear better who is nearby me instead of my voice. Anyone with the same issue? Is there something I can do to fix this? Thanks for your support!!
Nice video. Can you change songs back and forth in Spotify by tapping the buds?
Very good review, thanks
I subscribe to your channel thank you for sharing this very important information
Thanks. It truly helps us grow
I’ve been waiting on these for months. Glad they’re finally almost here.
I just found them being sold at Fry’s online.
Do recommend anyone purchase their (Fry’s) ‘coverage plan’ or is that simply a gimmick?
Thanks for the helpful video review on these.
Am I the only one that thinks the blues look nicer? Lol
I like the blue ones better as well.
No, I have and love the blues.
I'm also team blue. Mine should get here tomorrow... Hopefully
I bought the Elite 65T's in black 7 months ago and today exchanged them for the Actives in Blue. Blue is by far classier looking and my pick by a long shot. In case you're wondering, I exchanged them because the little plastic locking tab on the charging case broke. These have been my favorite ear buds to date by far.
Alejandro and
Hi EBPMAN, thank you so much for the review of the earbud. I have a question regarding the call quality. Is is stereo or single ear piece that is hearing the caller's voice ?
Waiting the Active as well, thanks!
Enmy Myen the active feature is a little light IMO but the IP rating is what for me makes it a good choice
EBPMAN Tech Reviews what's the IP rating & does that make it waterproof for walking/running in the rain or if it accidentally gets dropped in water
What do you mean by light?
Do you have any idea when is the Active 65t is launch?
My left earbud can not work when I play any music but works on phone calls and other notifications. Any help?
Thanks, but was really hoping you would have touched on the operation features on the earbuds themselves. Only a very quick mention was made.
It would have been nice to give a demo of the hear through technology too. As that's something I'm sure a lot of ppl will be interested in. I do service work so I will need to constantly be turning that feature on and off while dealing with customers.
I have to figure out how to get that captured. Great suggestion.
I have 65t , airpods , bragi dash pro but please Test the new Earin M-2 , outstanding quality and insane noise reduction that working with algorithms . Also the most comfortable from all of them .
I had the original earin but have not taken a look at the next gen. I will request them.
I have a question for you. Do you prefer the AirPods or the Jabra? And do you use iPhone? Because one of my points for me probably buying the AirPods is the ease of access for iPhone users. But 65T active has the 2 year warranty.
I also have an active lifestyle and am looking for ones for lifting weights, so fit is slightly important but I don’t do lots of distance running. AirPods are not rated sweat-resistant but people say they are.
Bennett Schackmuth yea how them for lifting weights
unable to connect it with the laptop ? The suggestion will be appreciated.
They have a nice microphone for TWS but for a jabra standard they are below the line of what I would expect.
The only thing that is bad about these are talking on the Phone in loud places like talking on a bus or something, sounds like that, does not work! The other person can only hear the backround and not me when you are in a loud place, have you noticed that too?
Yes, I had two sets and both had horrible call quality for the caller. Everyone I spoke to said they could hear all the background noise louder than my voice. Spoke to several Jabra tech support personnel and they know of the issue but there is no fix being offered. Love the sound quality, I think it's incredible for true wireless Bluetooth earbuds, but the call quality is a killer. Had to stick with my Airpods unfortunately.
I believe the audio on the call Quality was superb... That's my major concern in purchasing truly wireless earbuds. Is it necessary to have both earbuds in in order for the noise-cancelling to work to its highest efficiency? I tend to wear only 1 bud at a time... Also how's the battery life compared to the 65t elite? Is the difference substantial? That was an excellent review btw thank you...
GREAT REVIEW!!!
Thanks
Awesome detail review
Which one do you think is better the active 65t or the 65t but I'm thinking to buy the active 65t the down side is it isn't magnetic 😞😞😞😞 so sad but it is top quality but I haven't made an official answer yet please reply or make a video
Hey! Quick question: you said this product doesn't fear about sweat, but what about "massive" rain during running for instance? Thanks in advance!
Which one is better in your opinion?
65t active or elite sport
Thanks
@Noah dean can you go in detail of the sport
One annoying thing about these wireless ear buds is if you lose the case like I did they want $70 for a new one. The case is small and light and fell out of my pocket on a hike and I never noticed it was gone. Come on $70 for the case. Their cost is probably less than $10. Something to consider.
Lmao, their cost is probably around $3
apple wants $100 for either a lost airpod or the charging case
i think jabra is reasonable with that factored in
Thanks for the review....where can I get this black version on amazon?
Only available at Bestbuy. Copper is on Amazon.
I've had no issue with the fit of the 65t at all. If I doze off on the train and I wake up, sometimes I have to check my ears to be sure they are still there because I don't feel anything. I do however experience drops in the connection on certain trains. Also, when I walk into target they pause when I go through the scanner, then resume playing. Someone mentioned both issues are caused by the magnet field. Personally, here is what I want in the next generation. Better sound quality. These are good, but I came from a pair of BeatsX wireless. These sound better than the airpods, but don't compare to the BeatsX. A decrease in size and better battery life. Hopefully over 7 hrs on a charge.
Efe Chief so the beats x sound better even with the eq app on the jabra?
@@fns3159 Yes it does. These are my second Jabra’s. I had the Sport Pulse which were my first Bluetooth buds. I upgraded to the Sudio Vasa Bla and those had better sound quality but the sport pulse looked better to me. The beatsx were on par with the Sudio sound wise. Both sound better than the elite IMO, but I would not go back to the beats. The difference in sound is not by much. The Jabra's sound good.
Efe Chief ok cool thanks looking to buy a pair of 65t’s tomorrow
Any idea when these are being released? Videos from January this year show Jabra reps claiming they will be out in "a month or two", ie March. Very very late.
I see you can order now on amazon but shipping is a few weeks out
I reached out to them a while back and the release date was pushed to May 25th (today). The BW version shown in the video is BestBuy exclusive and available on their site NOW. The original blue/gold version is on Amazon but won't ship for another 2 weeks. I'm waiting on the latter. Cheers!
Hopefully jabra updates there EQ option... Some presets would be nice... So far jaybird has the best app when it comes to this
Thinking of buying these... are these comfortable?
Would if you did a review on the Jaybird Vista ear buds!
Great review
Just ordered some
Much appreciated sir!
Good review!
Excellent review. Just Subscribe.👏👏👏
Hello sir my jabra earbuts right side lost ready but how continue to left side one how conect to left side earbuts pls help me
Very good review
I had the elite 65t and the audio and video is out of sync for CZcams app and Facebook app as well as all my mobile games. I paired it with a iPhone 7 on latest os and firmware. Any of that issue with this model?
I've noticed that these things aren't as comfortable as others... my ears get a little sore after wearing for a while. Anyone else notice that, and if so, is there anything to be done about it? I've tried the various eargel sizes but no dice...
Idk why they didn't do touch sensitive buttons and make the charging case magnetic? I used to have the previous versions and I found myself pushing with some good amount of pressure (enough for it to feel uncomfortable) with the buttons and some times I thought they were charging in the case when they weren't. That would've made the price more justified 😕
Jehan Martinez touch sensitive buttons don’t work well in the rain or with wet fingers, so the decision will have been made for solid usability in all conditions.
Sensitive touch buttons and horrible and are often not effective.
I really wish someone would do i true detailed water test on both.
Hi may i know which one you can recommend most, because im still confuse and cant decide which one im going to buy, between jabra 65t and jabra elite 65t active. Hope to hear from you soon. I want to know what is the very reason why im not or why i will choose 65t active in case. Thank you.
great video. confusing to me at times because mine seem quite buggy:
- pick up a lot of surrounding noise when calling from street or subway, callers can almost not hear me.
- light cracklings when changing volume
- slight lag on youtube app audio.
anyone seen this too?
Yes!! I am experiencing the cracking noise and like a static sound.
Same here. People can hardly hear me due to the pick up of surrounding noise. Literally have to pick up my phone and take the earbuds out. Very frustrating
I have the same problem. I find that callers tell me that it is hard to hear me as every little sound in the room. Comes right through. How do you fix that?
Paul Cummings I did all the updates but no real fix in very loud environments.
I settled to just use them in quiet places for calls, otherwise I use the phone itself.
They are still great for listening to music!
So I've owned the airpods since they came out and love them! But since switching to the Note 8, i've been looking for something new. I ordered the IconX 2018 which come in tomorrow but while at best buy I saw the Active 65t and decided to give them a try.
Active 65t - Pretty good sound quality but the right earbud hurts like a bitch. Left if perfect fit. I even tried different size tips but no luck. Going to return them tomorrow. Hoping the IconX will be better fitting for my ears. Airpods are super comfortable and don't fall out of my ears so if the IconX don't workout then will be keeping my airpods.
But definitely advice trying out the headphones and maybe they fit better in your ears. For my Airpods are the best choice right now. Hoping IconX can replace them though. We will see tomorrow!
How is this IconX?
If you got a samsung phone, iconX is perfect for you. Just remember to adjust the size according to your best fit. My configuration were size 3 for the ear buds, and size 2 for the eartip.
what is the difference between both ? active or not?
These are bluetooth 5 apparently - I own both the new Apple airpods and these Active versions they are different sounding and suit different roles, however the airpods range is much better.
I'm sorry I bought the Jabra Elite Active 65t. With little use time .. I have problems with the audio .. the sound is low. I can't increase the sound.
When the sound is loud ... it decreases ... decreasing. And it stops at a low sound (even at 100% load).
I tried everything..and I can't solve this problem. And apparently I'm not the only one with this problem. There were several people who bought and reported the same problem.
I get a high pitch sound in my right earbud when on a Zoom video conference call. I didnt notice the pitch when on a regular phone call. I could clearly hear the person on the other side and they heard me.
