The Technics, Jabra, and Bose are my favorites!
I use the Huawei Freebuds Pro 3 and I always get surprised when I call my friends and tell me they can hear me very clearly even when I am in a bar or in any noisy environment.
No prize for the Sony XM5? It is my daily driver. Love the super compact case, almost the same size as the AirPods 2, the super ergonomic shapes of the case and buds, and the overall sound quality and ANC.
can you tell me how much better the xm5's sound quality is than the app2 please? which one do you like more ?
yh
I had to return them because everyone said I sounded terrible on calls
Bose call quality is in par with 4 dollars headphones on aliexpress 😂
Bose lives on its name.
Those who buy Bose are complete Dimwits
If it wasn't for their premium sound quality they wouldn't be worth the price they charge
@@netnomad47 Premium sound quality MY ARSE ..Fk them
@@netnomad47they aren’t worth the price they charge lol
This is so good! I've listened to your covers so many times and this one in particular.
More incubus style please!
Great insight.thanks thanks.
Thanks a lot!
Good video on every aspect
Excellent video as always!! ❤
Thank you 👊🏼
You are amazing; so glad to have discovered you!
Thank you 👊🏼
Great video as always brother! I have to agree with you on many of the top picks especially the AZ80. It’s such a good all rounder 🔥
👊🏼
picky audio please tell him that oneplus buds pro 2 are the best sound quality according to what you said😢😢😢😢😢😢
Is the Freebuds Pro 3 one of the best options for me? if I am looking for noise canceling, sound quality and loudness... I also want those sitting with me not to hear the sound I play.
And I don't care about the mic and calls.... also I will use them while I am staying in my place, meaning that I will not move or play sports while using them
Completely brilliant review!! Just what I was looking for...thanks
Thanks a lot!
awesome content enriched with valuable information. thank you
Another great thorough review/list and great work. I still use my Evos regularly and I have a decent amount of good earbuds. Easy recommendation at their current price
Thank you!
The Beoplay EX is no joke, for me the sound quality is better than most earbuds and even headphones.
Hi there, really interesting video.
Myself i was thinking to choose between yamaha tw-e7b, denon perl pro and technics az80. At the moment I'm using the first Gemini model.
Amazing work, great video
Thank you!
I was missing the Technics not making it in any category until they came at #1 for best overall. This is an exceedingly good set. And apart from everything you mentioned, I would add (i) amazing sound stage and instrument separation and (ii) superb build quality which also extends to the case itself, which is among the most compact among top ranking models.

I do find myself grabbing the Liberty 4s for calls (I only have a few different pairs)
1More EVO sounds amazing, looks great, and is an incredible value!
Technics az80s are amazing
Congratulations for the always excellent reviews and for covering brands most reviewers miss, like Technics and Devialet.
Thank you very much!
I tried both of them and i prefer momentum 4...personnal preference...
The amount of work you put into this is incredible - let alone to cost of buying some of these earbuds - well done
Thank you, I appreciate it 👊🏼
Back to back tested the devialet , b@o ex , sennheiser 3 and one more evo over 2 hours. Cannot speak for the momentum 4 but the 3s are a clear step ahead of the other on pure audio quality. Other benefits were loudest output if needed and don't clip like the devialet did for me. The sound optimisation has to be done though to get the best from them.
Have the Elite 10 and they have amazing comfort, sound quality and ANC is good

Thanks for the overall review. If could help to compare one plus buds pro2 and Jabra Elite 10. Like to have comfort, calls and sound quality
Amazing video!!! You are the greatest of all comparison I videos I have watched. (And I have a ton)
Thank you 💚
Good timing
So glad to see my daily driver, the Huawei Freebuds Pro 3 ! They are way underrated!

Thx for the vid. Anything here good for gaming?
One feature I love is “find my” feature. I think it’s something we will see more of since Tile is starting to collaborate.
the DIVIALET Gemini II are for shure the best! No matter, what price. Once you've heard it, you'll buy it!
One of the best earbuds review roundsups I've watched, great job
Thank you 🙏🏼
I would like to suggest the ghost stryke 2.0 from axil they last 25 hours for hearing enhancement/protection 10-14 hours bluetooth and 8-12 with both bluetooth and hearing enhancement
I'm rocking the Huawei Freebuds Pro since gen 1, now Pro 3 being my unbeatable favourite. However, I do have some annoying hiss when in awareness mode in a relatively silent environment and low volume. Anyone else?
Wher can we find your complete top 20 list
Great insights, thank you! QQ: Can the Sony LinkBuds be used for working out as well?
They can, and there is an IPX4 rating to protect against sweat. They might not stay securely in your ears though, it varies by person. I can run with them absolutely fine, but the slip laying flat on a workout bench
Hi.. i really like the review. Can I have the link for the whole list?
Vers good review. Thank you.
Thanks!
Finally, someone who actually tests the earbuds and gives an actual personal review. Thanks for doing the leg work and making a great review.
is that oval face one still the best for calls? and do they workindependently from each other? also I remove the rubber to have the ear breathe. any idea about that?=
I bought the Technics az80 just two days ago so it's really reassuring to see that they're considered as best overall
Just my opinion of course, but I think you made an excellent choice!
I have them since 6 months now, and despite of an excellent sound quality, I find their calls and mic quality poor. I was surprized to see in the review that calls quality is good. Practicly no voice isolation in a noisy environment. Everybody complains about not hearing me clearly during my calls.
This is awesome, I appreciate the hard work!
Thank you!
I hardly do this but subscribed man hands down
🙌🏼
great job again mate
Thank you!
I have had 3 pairs of Bose. Including the Ultra. All faulty.
Svanar for sound quality?
I'm happy with my Marshall motif 2s😊
do you have a chart somewhere with all the rankings on it? it would be great to be able to compare other options with the winners.
Perl pro?
Status 3 ANC?
Excellent review - in depth testing and a wide range of devices looked at.
It's also great that you mention ear tips - I use spinfit ear tips as the difference in audio quality and comfort more than justifies their price.
In the past I've had the Sony linkbud S and really liked them as small all rounders.
However, I settled on the apple airpods pro 2 which I used with my android LG v60 and more recently with an iPhone. The airpods pro 2 (with spinfit ear tips) are my go to all rounder for noise cancellation, transparency, audio quality, comfort, controls, pocketability and longevity (the battery can be replaced too)- for my android and ios devices.
I have some Status Between ANC earbuds and love their triple driver audio quality. They don't support Aptx or LDAC, showing just how more important hardware, good tuning and good fit is for audio quality compared to codecs (also source files matter. I switched from Spotify to apple music on android and ios and the difference is huge - and the same price). Battery life on the Status Between ANC is excellent with 8hrs on ANC (their ANC is decent but not airpods level). Without ANC, the Status Between earbuds battery life is an excellent 12hrs. The earbuds and case are Ipx 5 rated. For £160 I've found them excellent value. And I like their distinct appearance compared to most other earbuds.
I was wondering if you'd tested the Status and how they compare to the Geminis? (Only 5hrs battery life for the Gemini rules them out for me).
I was wondering if you've tested the Cambridge Audio m100? I had the Cambridge Audio Melomania 1+ and loved the superb mids and audio quality, small size and long battery life.
I have a full review already for the Status earbuds on the channel. Gemini offers superior detail, instrument separation and soundstage. Also other benefits like comfort and stronger ANC.
Not tested the CA M100 yet, but i've tested and featured their previous earbuds on the channel in the past. I personally prefer the Touch model to the 1+ and they featured some of the best audio quality for the price
@@insidetechltd thanks for your reply, much appreciated. It’s great to have the choice now.
If the next Gemini has a much longer battery life I’d definitely consider them.
The Status Between ANC with their audio, ipx rating and 12hrs battery (without anc which wasn’t important for how intended to use them) and at £160, were hard to beat for me when I already had the AirPods Pro 2 (brilliant all rounder. And they have a replaceable battery - a consideration for me. I have some detachable Shure mmcx earbuds that work with Bluetooth ear hooks or cables and have lasted 10years).
I love good audio quality but when I’m out and about there is a limit to how much I can do focussed listening (and when I’m out and about I’m mostly listening to podcasts and audiobooks).
At home I have planar wireless headphones for convenience and wired IEMs & headphones which, with a decent dac amp give me better audio quality, staging etc that I’ve yet heard on wireless earbuds.
I’ve only just come across your channel and subscribed because of your review as it’s an excellent. I’m going to enjoy going through your other videos and when I’m next after earbuds and more I’ll be back for sure!
battery can be replaced on airpods pro 2? huh?
@@papervws yup. Take them into an Apple Store or send them in. They’re built to last.
I’ve had some wireless earbuds from lypertek and others where the battery drops significantly after a year. The battery in Sony wireless earbuds lasts and lasts. I’ve still got some wfxm3’s. The battery can be replaced but it’s very tricky and easy to break.
Fairphone do headphones and I think are doing earbuds.
Tozo golden X1 is really amazing, surprised it is not on the list
Go Technics!!!
where can we find your document of all buds ratings in categories? that would be helpfull
Not available at the moment, still an on-going process adding earbuds to the least and tweaking the formulae I use
Surprised to see Denon Perl Pro is missing in your list! Most of the other reviewers put them above MW4 and Beoplay Ex regarding sound quality.
I've got them in 6th for sound quality, but I totally see why others might put them higher up. They're quite inconsistent though - that personalised sound feature is a gimmick in my opinion. Repeat testing just gave me wildly different results
@@insidetechltddamn I ordered the Perl pro, it’s coming 2marrow
@@insidetechltdTurn off spatial and leave the custom sound on. It makes everything way clearer. Turn off spatial and personalized sound and you get a flat sound that is still clean and very detailed.
Yeyy I see mine, huawei! Although 5th pos for mic should be higher
I rock a set of LG Tone FP9 and these are amazing for the price. You can probably find them for a good discount nowadays and they sound excellent, almost audiophile quality.
Definitely underrated!
The Huawei Freebuds Pro 3 got 5th on the mic test? What was 4th for mic quality? HFP3's better/worse than the QuietComfort Ultra or Ultra Open? How about 4th and 5th for ANC?
I actually have them in 4th now with the latest updates. Yes, better than Bose. 4th and 5th for ANC technically feature in the video since i mentioned not wanting to have repeating the Bose entires for older models. Soundcore's Liberty 4 NC would follow in the list based on that criteria
Video worth to save for feature buy
What are the driver size and how many odd.
i got the AZ-80 last year on amazon for $230. best earbuds ive ever owned
Nice!
I remember you were raving about the sound quality of the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro in your video about them, where would you rank them compared to the Gemini II or the Beoplay EX? I'm thinking of upgrading
Galaxy Buds2 Pro are a mile off these two - different leagues. I've got them at least 40 places apart, for context
The Linkbuds S continue to impress me every single day. I truly don't know how Sony will top this in the price range.
What no one ever mentions is the battery degradation over time. I so wish companies would make it possible to swap out the batteries. As I've had my Sony XM4's for just over two years and now a charge only lasts ten minutes in one ear.
Love the evos. Recently lost 1 bud probably gonna get a new set
I’m looking for a serious alternative to Powerbeats Pro. I tried Beats Fit Pro but they are painful. AirPods Pro fall out of my ears.
I use Apple ecosystem, but the main issue is that I need not to think about buds falling out.
Bose mic is embarrassing
id be very interested to hear your opinions about in ears like the ZE8000 MK2, UW100 MKII or even the Free BYRD
UW100 MKII are disappointing - horribly uncomfortable. ZE8000 and Free BYRD have good sound quality but are let down in with the other features that mean they don't justify their price. Not a top 3 in any category nor particularly great earbuds all round
What's your thoughts on the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro or the Akg n400? Crinacle praised them for their audio quality and neither were mentioned in this video
This is a tech reviewer not an audiophile. Massive difference in expertise.
I don't see any scenario in which the Buds Pro 2 touch B&O, the Geminis, etc. Just a different tier of product. Especially since they only work best with Samsung phones (due to proprietary codecs).
did you try the xiaomi 4 buds pro?
No Pi7 s2?
No Denon PerL Pro?
Both of those are EASILY better than the Beoplay EX, by a country mile. They both have better sound stage, clarity and separation. The codecs are better, one has dual drivers and the other has spatial audio with some custom tuning options that really make a huge difference in the listening experience.
I'd go so far as to say that the Denon PerL Pro is better than your number one pick as well.
Sound is subjective, we all hear differently. If you think those two sound better...you're right!
I know the new Sennheiser Momentum Sports are their competitors even though they are coming out soon, I think on April 9th and they most likely going to blow a lot of different earbuds especially at the price range and for overall use. I don't know if you tested the Jlab Epic Edition but those are very good especially for in terms of sound quality.
Really looking forward to testing the new Sennheiser Sport earbuds, it's a shame they weren't out in time for this video but i'll follow this up if they claim the top spot!
@@insidetechltdPlease do, I am really looking forward to hearing your opinion on them before I purchase them.
Great video...can you highlight their compatibility with iPhones?
Thank you! They're all compatible with iPhones 👍🏼
Unfortunately, the Linkbud S have become notorious for issues developing "wind-noise", occasional piercingly loud screeching noise as well as uneven battery drain issues.
Its a shame as they are great for comfort, sound quality and ANC at a budget price, but a quick google shows these have clearly come at a cost... I was on my 3rd pair before they died (entirely my fault after leaving them in a pair of jeans that went in the washing machine), but now I've had to make the difficult decision of looking elsewhere due to their underlying manufacturing issues.
Better gestures controls and HiRes codecs could have made the Jabra Elite 10 my main earbuds but I've sent them back. The Linkbuds S only had terrible gesture controls, where you lose either volume or ANC toggling which is a pity.
LinkBuds S had an update recently to add volume control with a new repeat tap gesture (like the XM5) - at least that helps a little bit!
Still the weird ass noise with anc..
Where can I get the technics? cuz I live in Israel and the website do not ship to Israel. I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get them.
I like the mutipoint connection test in the 2022 video and why its missing here? I come to your channel for this
That was back when multipoint was first coming out, not many earbuds had it, so it was a noteworthy feature. In 2024, all the featured earbuds support multipoint - so it's not worthwhile to have as a separate category anymore.
I always try to use the feedback to make sure the videos feature what people want to see though 👍🏼
I yet have to find a decent call quality when driving in my car. It seems call quality, especially the other party in the car can't hear you even though you hear them. I have the Jabra 7 Elite and I have to revert to talking on the phone rather than the earbuds most of my calls. The whole point of having them is not met at all.
The Sony's are great however pray you don't experience any issues....Sony will more or less wash their hands and place you in the care of their local affiliate (not belonging to Sony) who, in my experience, provide dismal customer service and, above all, not get the issue properly fixed.
I've moved on to Jabra and they're quite good, ANC could be better though.
Guess I'm replacing my linkbuds s with the linkbuds s. Rip to the last ones
Thoughts on the Marshall motif ANC II ?
Love the build quality and design - some of the best feeling and best looking earbuds (and case) on the market. But that's about it - disappointing all round performance for the price
Are there reasons why the WF1000XM5 didn't make it? I bought the Elite 10 to replace the WF1000XM5 I had before because of the eartips but if I bought spin fit eartips then they would most likely be one of the best overall despite its Spatial Audio not being able to be used on types of streaming services which is very unfortunate. I also picked the Elite 10 because of its ingress waterproofing and sweat resistance.
Just the same as any other earbuds that didn't make it - not a top 3 in any of these categories. That's all. Still a really good earbud overall!
Xm5 is definitely better than link buds. Well made video though. Thanks. Also their ANC is excellent and should be in the top 3.
@@drlalithavaniwhich one in his top-3 is worse than the Sony in ANC? Have you tried all of those to compare?
Is the liberty 4 good enough to rival any of the samsung offerings?
Since i want to change from the soundcore life p2 to either the liberty 4 or a galaxy bud set(since here in Holland samsung loves to add galaxy buds to galaxy phones for free often) so i'd like some support(though if it would be like the libert 4's i would get them a bit sooner since i'm planning on getting a galaxy s25 fan edition wich offcourse doesn't exist yet but i'm expecting it to show up arround fall next year)
It honestly depends on what features you like in your earbuds and the type of sound profile you like. I can tell you that I don't think any of the Samsung exclusive features are worth it in Galaxy Buds - so I wouldn't buy them thinking they'll definitely make your experience better just because you have a Samsung phone. As for the Liberty 4, I think there are plenty of better overall earbuds out there, including Liberty 4 NC. Phone calls and a bright treble are what the Liberty 4 are great at
@@insidetechltd oh there is a liberty 4 and a 4 nc
It's mostly to listen to music to and from the hospital since i have bimonthly medicine for an autoimmune ilnes i have and the hospital is 45 to 1,5 hours depending on traffic so i mostly use it for listening to music when my parents are driving..
though anc is not really a priority for me yet(i haven't really had a real need to even when my parents turned the radio up higher) so mostly as long as sound is good without a lot of work to make it sound good i'm fine.
But why soundcore is i just trust them because i have used my p2's for a while with very little problems and they get heavy abuse and still work perfectly fine, but they are starting to get a bit tired so i would like to start orienting.
Further samsung often offers in Holland deals with a discount on their phones and on top of that they also offer a by them selected free set of galaxy buds wich since i'm looking to also replace my phone next year i don't know exactly what is the best option, get a pair from soundcore or get a free pair from samsung when i'm replacing my phone next year
The specific design i don't have extreme preferences in though the life p2's had a stick to grip them in and out of the ears though they still have a phisical button wich doesn't do 1 million things so not much fus to use them
I just bought the technics!
Dose that working good?
@@ShaimaNada they arrive tomorrow, I'll let you know when I get a chance to use them!
Thanks for the great review
Thank you!
You are missing the cambridge melomania m100 outstanding earbuds
Does anyone know which earbud doesn't make too much outside noises?
prices are insane these days. 300 dollars for earbuds OMG... I have my Earfun Air pro 3 already a year now and am still very happy with them. Use them for Work (amazing distance, can walk to the coffee machine outside my room without losing any connection. Music listening i am very happy as well. As with the battery life combined with the case. Happy camper!!!
If you get the top shelf version of any electronic device, it'll get costly. I'm pretty amazed at the sound quality you can get out of earbuds these days!! As long as they last for years, $300 isn't bad!
@@dansourile5444 Lets agree to disagree. Speaking for people with a nornal real world budget this is just not acceptable
Can you post the ranking sheet that you show at the :26 mark?
I plan to finalise it and get into a public-friendly format in the future, for now it's a work in progress!
I know they are getting older but what are peoples thoughts on the Sony wf-1000mx4? saw a liquidation sale for them and can get them very cheap. i can also get the beats studio buds plus for the same price but from what I have heard people tend to lean more towards to sony's
Don't get them.too many software issues, and the battery will be dead after a month!
Have you tried the denon pearl pro?
Yes I tried them as the nuratrue pro before the rebrand. I showed them briefly in last year's awards video
What are your thoughts on the Samsung pro2s
Good earbuds with some interesting samsung features - but no killer features. Doesn't get near any of the top 3 spots here
Excellent list and completely agree with your picks but maybe not the order 🎉
Thank you!
Do the Sony-Xm5's have a battery issue? I remember this being a problem for the Xm4's.
I've not experienced any battery issues with either
I did, with My XM4. Terrible choice, that's why I'm looking at this video now, because I won't buy Sony earbuds ever again!
Devialet Gemini 2 or Bang & Olufsen Beoplay EX should be the best overall
: )) I will buy Jabra elite 10, thanks for your video
I hope you like them!

Maybe factor in price?
