If the Magic Keyboard just had it’s own case that would protect the iPad when it’s used out of the keyboard case I’d buy it. This one is still my go to. I was considering an ESR, but realized that you have to charge it separately whereas this just takes its power from the iPad itself (which is ideal for my situation). So still, to each his own really. The additional protection still wins for me.

Any thoughts on the heat conductivity/dissipation of the new M4 iPad Pro Logitech Combo Cases? With the new materials of the iPad Pro M4 Combo cases, which seem to have decreased the weight compared to prior Combo Touch cases, I was also hoping that Logitech made improvements to the thermal performance for the new M4 iPad Pros.

I got the ultra 2 recently and love it. Bought a trail band and an alpha band and have the diving band that came with it. Seems nice and durable without any screen protectors or anything like that. Definitely an amazing watch.

Had a quest 2 and 3 and tried a friend's vision pro. For the extra $3000 for the apple VR headset, you really aren't getting much at all. In fact I would say the apple headset has less overall functionality than the quest 3. 2 small OLED screens are not worth that much and the front screen is just a gimmick that nobody will really use. The quest 2/3 also has a much more open approach to allow more developers to develop for it and so the software library is so much larger than the apple's. Comfort was also vastly better on the quest 3 and doesn't require you to purchase expensive light seals until you find the right one. The controllers are also infinitely better than forced hand tracking. Menus are easier to navigate and more intuitive on the quest 3 too. Then there's the fact that a little scratch on the quest 3's front surface will not ruin any part of the experience so durability is greater. There are numerous 3rd party head strap makers too so you can easily find the perfect fit without being forced to use meta's own brand through serialisation. You don't even have to use Meta's own app store. The only positive I can see about the apple headset is the quality of the screen and pass through.

The best drawing experience on the Magic Keyboard is removing the iPad, closing the case, then placing the iPad on top. It works great as it’s at a slight incline

I was pleasantly surprised to find that (even though Logitech came out with new version for the IPad Air M2), the Logitech Combo Touch for the older iPad Airs works on the new iPad Air (and Amazon has them on sale for $130 US). The new materials seem similar to the Apple keyboards, which do not age well. The older Logitech keyboards have a sort of denim texture that shows no fingerprints and doesn’t show wear.

I have both of those keyboards for the previous generation model M2 12.9 Pro model. The stand in the back of the Logitech combo is a game changer for me when im doing illustration/photo editing/note taking/ etc.

Does the Logitech charge the same as the Apple Magic Keyboard?

I ordered the iPad and the combo touch last week. I got it today. I kept the iPad, and returned the Logitech combo the same day (today, June 5 2024). I returned at bestbuy and used a gift card I had to buy the Magic Keyboard. It was a 70 difference which turned to 18 dollars with the gift card. As soon as I used the Logitech, I immediately noticed the lack of quality. there is a major gap in the area by the Apple Pencil that’s exposed. It was also very hard to open and I felt like my finger nail would eventually tear the material on the kickstand. unfortunately this is the only other keyboard that uses the pogo pins. However that and the case seems to be the only benefit. You will never use the large trackpad and that trackpad also has a large gap when you press down. Dust will get in there guaranteed. Additionally, the keyboard on the Logitech is much more mushy and doesn’t feel as good as the magic keyboard. The iPad I have is white also, there is no white Logitech keyboard and fingerprints show extremely easy. As someone who almost always has a case on all the devices, I recommend the Magic Keyboard if you can afford it. The magnets are incredibly strong and you can carry the iPad open with one hand. Yes the corners are an exposed point. But if you use the device with the keyboard as it’s intended, you may never have the need to remove the iPad.

Keys touching the display is an automatic no-go. Fastest way to permanently scratch the display. Spend the extra $100 on the magic keyboard and save yourself the $1K+ of replacing a tandem OLED display.
