- Eltharion has gone off on holiday to the badlands while back at home some rowdy greenskins, partying Daemons and undead pirates have taken ahold. So holiday cancelled and back home to take out the trash and stick them in the dungeon in part 1 of my Eltharion Campaign for Total War: Warhammer 3 Immortal Empires with the Forge of the Chaos Dwarfs DLC.

I love how Eltharion drops off in the Badlands to look for Grom meanwhile he's just chilling doing cooking shows in central France lol
I just realised Massif Orcal is based on the Massif central mountains in France lmao
Need to see Grom with a french mustache and a baguette with the typical french jingle.

Grom is trying to get a Michelin star but instead has to steal one from the French horse freaks
I actually like that Eltharion starts at the Badlands, so he can deal with all those Orcs he hates.
You know, if they were in the Badlands anymore.
Fun fact: If you take the port there in the Badlands, you get a dilemma to give your homeland in Ulthuan to Tyrion for some kind of payment so you can focus just on the Badlands. If you ever come back to the Badlands, it'll be interesting to see if the dilemma will still trigger or not.
You can tell MA loves this game because it had him ranting in angered confusion before he was 5 minutes in.
I can never play this faction without the More Fun For the Grim mod that lets his mistwalker units keep the interrogation buffs so it becomes a "gotta catch em all" with all the different buffs from the other factions
The AI does remember where your troops went into hiding, if they move away from that spot the AI will be none the wiser, but if they remain stationary they'll be spotted eventually. I believe Legend does mention this from time to time in his disaster battles
They should add a sea lane between Ulthuan and the badlands for Eltharion to use.
I adore Eltharion but he was your last High Elf campaign (warhammer 2) was hoping to see Teclis or Alith Anar. However I will still be excited to see Elf Batman clapping some greenskin cheeks!

@@MonstersAbound It's supposed to mirror his WH2 Mortal Empires campaign, as Grom starts in the badlands when the player is Eltharion in that campaign. However, Grom always starts in Bretonnia in WH3 (as far as I'm aware), so Eltharion's dual start loses a lot of its supposed purpose. That said, you do gain the option of selling off Tor Yvresse for 25k after taking that first settlement in the badlands the same way that Malus does with Hag Graef in his campaign. Nothing wrong with just disbanding his initial army and focusing on Ulthuan though; lord knows there's plenty of threats to deal with up there.
@@MonstersAbound Kill all Orcs. Hunt Grom. Badlands=Orcs. So he went. It's why there's a decision early on to keep Yvresse under your direct command or hand it off while you're out killing all Orcs.
Eltharion left on a crusade against Greenskins lmao. That's why they give you an army in Yvresse.
Eltharion starting in the badlands doesn't really make sense since they moved Grom. The only other major Greenskins in the area are Wurrzag and sometimes Skarsnik confederates the mutinous gits and gets big.
0:50 eh, I would have sacked my way through to Ulthuan, and settle down some settlements to recruit instead of directly B-lining it, cause it would take 4 to 8 turns turns to get to ultuan and instead of doing nothing I would get some income and level up the high elf Batman lord
yes I would make enemies along the way but they need to go to Ulthuan to get me plus getting Aranessa in the basement is totally worth it, lets see if she gat get up those stairs when I take her peg legs from her
Hahaha what is this start. Why would you abandon the Badlands like that. Just take the first port settlement there. You get a prompt for keeping both regions or abandon Badlands and get a lot of money.
Not quite. The choice is to abandon Tor Yvresse to get a lot of money, very similar to the choice that Malus gets with Hag Graef. That said, Eltharion was a strange choice for a High Elf campaign if he's going to abandon the dual start right away.

Imagine if in Versus your opponent could take control of the enemy army during a quest battle. Some of those would be nightmares if the enemy army was controlled by a competent player.
Hay love watching your stuff as it lets me enjoy these games more than I ever could (for context I have warhammer 2 but none of the dlc and I just end up quitting half way through a campaign after getting annoyed that I'm getting beat by dlc units I can't have) I'm currently in a Tyrion campaign and having to fight yeverest and alaryel so wish me luck
Update. Uthuan has fallen to the druki and the campaign in dead, trying a new one as headtaker and its going ok except for the lizard men ligit spawning 2 army's of just carnasours to rock my shit but going ok

Paying for Eltharion's army to sail home would have quickly bankrupted you, if you recruited any troops at all in Ulthuan. So disbanding it is pretty much the only way to go, if you don't want to land in the Badlands.
Eltharion starts in the Badlands because Grom used to start in the Badlands also that one time he launched an invasion
Yes hand of glory is only single target spell, but with the talisman of hoeth and upgrading the skill treel. It has 2 or 3 WoM per cast like it's really cheap

"Updated" Quest battle, I've definitely fought this in 2 but the tzeentch army was just another random warriors of chaos stack.
The one time MA doesn't go for the turn 1 battle and misses out

17:03 the AI always knows where you are, even on the campaign map. The ai programming will cause it to behave as though ut didn't at times, but this knowledge leads to the AI lingering around a hidden army long after a human would have moved on.

This.. this might be a bit too late.. but after the first battle in the Badlands they give you the option of leaving Yvress to do by itself or manage them both at the same time, I know because as the I was the asshole that did the second one on purpose...

Though I will say you are meant to have two fronts with Eltharion hence why he gets a lot of really powerful units plus your first badlands settlement is a large port so getting units and money would not be to much of a problem when you get trade deals. Will be fun to see how this all turns out lol.
I for one love high elves (despite being uppity and crap) im a little wary of dark elves in general seeing as their only a step below N kari when it comes to being held prisoner if you catch my meaning. I'd sooner be captured by terrorists than dark elves 😂😂

Fighting in the badlands is actually more fun than fighting in ulthuan. His specialty is fighting greenskins and hes kinda on a crusade in the badlands. I found it more fun....its way to crowded in ulthuan.......boring.
