I love that PA doesn’t care about Aus because it only gives you 2 extra troops, even though South America also only gives you 2 extra troops and has more entry points to defend.
Let’s be real here through, who purposely wants to be put next to Asia? That’s putting yourself right next to the king of the hill.

When playing Risk I would recommend that whenever you get the chance to remove an opponent, even if it is a risky move, you should generally take it. By defeating an opponent you get his cards, and if you have 5 or more cards after their defeat you get additional reinforcements mid turn.
Apollo at the beginning: conserve all troops!
Apollo at the end: Russia power, activate!
Apollo: Australia's not really that important. Doesn't get you that many reinforcements
Proceeds to get the exact same amount you would for having Australia...

Yeah, but going against ai, they are typically more focused on each other.rake Australia first turn, push to siam the next. Keep your troops there, taking only 1 territory at a time, whichever has the fewest troops. Fortify back to siam, rinse and repeat.
(And yes, I know siam isn't the name anymore. I've been playing the game for years.)

Also, I usually play on progressive card turn ins, where the amount of reinforcements just keeps going up with each trade in. That's why I say wait until you are forced to trade in to get the best bang for your buck to make the push. Typically the territories are more consolidated by then and you can just clean house with whoever's left, trading in cards on nearly every elimination whereas you seemed to have been playing on random amounts of reinforcements on trade ins.

Master? No. I've just played this game enough to know. Been playing it on expert level and have only lost 1 through sheer amounts of bad luck on dice rolls.

My god, Apollo. It was amazing to hear your history with Risk. I myself played the board game version first, then switched to Axis&Allies. Then, I played the Risk game on my stepbrother's tablet when we were all on a cruise. I actually ended up winning that game.
I had to stop playing this game. I got so mad when my 8 troops from South Africa attacked 1 troop kn Western Europe and I lost....that one battle tunred the tide of the game and I ended up losing. Almost broke my phone

The same thing happened to me I used to play this game and it was so annoyingly dumb I attacked with 13 against 2, I lost six
I started with Risk as well. It's still one of my favorite games

25:31 -> Not sure how many risk cards they had, but it seems like the perfect setting to take the game away by sweeping both green and yellow (using cards you collect by eliminating the first one), control all americas, and block/defend through only 3 point of entry Alaska/Iceland/North Aftrica

Great game... u play very well. I was a board game champion back in the early 1990s and then joined the Warzone back in like 1996 where I was #1 in the world 15 times in 10 years of playing online... so I too am rather good. Perhaps I will see u sometime Apollo

I used to play Risk on my PS2 when i was little. Damn, I loved it. I used to lose a lot but then learned to adapt to different situations and I became better in general.
The number one mistake that makes people lose in this game:
Don't attack unless you need to. If you attack every turn you will most likely lose

I always do Australia. Sure, less points, but only 1 way in, 1 way out. Stack up troops at one spot, a territory a turn, trade in when it forces you and it's almost instant win.
The way u commentate over gameplay just makes it so much more interesting.

Comon man...use the "Blitz" roll (doesn't that take that long as for rolling each single attack) and also please play against real players and not NPCs. It's way more fun (to watch :)).

My favorite was the revolutionary style risk for PC years ago it showed cav and cannons flag carriers ect it was a lot of fun I can't remember if it was just Risk II
I had that game on board, still do but missing lots of tanks and glags...Australia is deadend, S.America too Africa and N.America are strong points and rest is no mans land.....really fun game....im glad i watched you play it
Pixelated Apollo if you have 3 dice and you click the arrow to the right it says blitz and there is a percentage like if you had a lot of troops going against a small force just blitz check the percentage if its high you can eliminate that force and its quicker

ive played that game plenty of times, depending on the settings, using the auto roll you will win with man power. but just rolling the dice like he did in the beginning, especially with two you easily lose. i remember losing about 11 troops from land being defended by 3 troops

1996 Hasbro - Europe 1812 scenario, you are the Kingdom of Sweden.
Not for the faint of heart.
13:34 I was particularly concerned that the participant who was focusing on acquiring Europe did not attack the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland when he had 2 troops in Scandinavia. That would have not harmed their border and have given a 125/216 chance of winning and acquiring 5 troops next turn, not to mention the 2 15/36 chances of victory by attacking form both Scandinavia and Northern Europe if the operation was unsuccessful.

I once played risk with my dad and cousin and one of my dads territories had 2 guys and my cousin had a territory right next to that. My cousin went on the attack and lost 14 troops! Let’s just say he was a bit peeved after that. He ended up winning anyway
u should play multiplayer, because even the expert ai is dumb. this game whoever fights the least battles win
This game is the best board game of all time. I also had have very fond memories. Had to hide the board when I was young so my family would cheat LoL.

Usually when you obviously outnumber the other territory in units you should use blitz mode when rolling die for a better chance of taking it over.

Australia has the same point bonus as South America but people normally go for South America as the bordering continents are easy to take unlike Asia, which you’ll never conquer
PA I went to a military college and we had huge RISK tourneys plus spades too but I dominated RISK for 4 yrs there. Been playing it since I was a kid and I use many of the same strategies. I'll fight you anytime lol
If you think of it having a lot of land in early game is bad because you have to spread your troops and if you don’t all your other spaces will be weak but in later game you get more troops so yea
