right! it was hard to watch at times.. he never did grasp that once the enemy spawns they auto head toward the opening in the wall or nearest gate. BUT it is just the demo so all is forgiven
@@popparock6506 after the second spawn went to where the opening in the wall was he even acknowledged that that was what the enemy was doing, and then he never anticipated it happening again for the rest of the demo

God this game makes me miss the stronghold series soooo much. Some of my best memories were from that game.

Hey apollo, just so you know, you don't actually need to spend too much space for the housing because you can actually upgrade the already existing houses. Just a tip for next time.
I wish my computer could run all these games. I've been watching you for so long. History is the best, especially the wars. And you are the only youtuber I like who does these.
I played this today right up until Day 8 and it was a lot of fun. This game has a real classic Settlers vibe about it with more action. I'm looking forward to playing the full game.

Building and city management reminds me of Knights and Merchants from the 90s. The animation of the buildings going up are so similar to that game, love that.
Ah Knights and Merchants 1 of my first city builder rts games i ever played. I did hate the maps when u didnt had to build a city :-). Guess i was to young for the strategy part :-p.

Yep, definitely a poor mans stronghold...that's not to say this wouldn't be a good fun to play, as stronghold was an amazing game

You can upgrade the houses with stone to add more space for people. And you can build trebuchets on the towers.

Hey Apollo, love your vids and the awesome games you get us into. Interestingly, you might not have thought much about it, but building houses together makes it easier to manage. Games like these really develop your organizational skill!!!

looks like the strategy game _'Northgard'_
graphics, territory gain system, build mode, villager and eco system. looks very familiar to me.
Or a cartoon age of empires
Yeah it really reminds me of northgard
the eco/happiness/population system is based on Stronghold Crusader, the territory system is like Northgard without the building restrictions.
Stronghold crusader is still a far superior game, but this looks like fun non-the-less.
WE NEED MORE, but in all seriousness I had a lot of fun watching this

what i really want is a game alike "World of Castles" which is a project that got abandoned but the idea is perfect.
so basically you start out in first person (maybe a third person option aswell) and you'd have to gather resources and with those resources you build a castle or castles and you're able to build up that castle and create an army with siege equipment, have npc's gather resources for you, attack other people's castles, be attacked by others etc. a game like this would just be amazing
